Mike performed a thorough inspection on my car and gave me an estimate. Needless to say, a lot of work needed to be done. There was a code showing that indicated something may be wrong with the transmission. He suggested that I take it to a transmission shop to have it checked out before paying for the repairs needed. I did what he advised and proceeded to have the repairs done. I'm satisfied with the work that was done and feel that I've found a mechanic who I can trust. They also have a rewards program. 1/4/2026 Bad review on W & J Automotive in Clarksville, TN…read more If I could rate him negative stars, I would. I was moving my grand-daughter from the Fort Campbell Army Base back to Texas. (Nov 13-16, 2025). Her 2009 Mitsubishi Galant had a problem that had to be fixed before we could leave the area. Car was blowing only cold air, no heat at all. I look for mechanics in the area, since I was flying in from Dallas, TX, I was not familiar with local mechanics. I called W&J Automotive and explained the problem to Wesley Darnell, the mechanic. He stated he knew exactly what the problem was, so I hired him to fix it. As it turns out, he either did not know, or took complete advantage of the situation. Based on his recommendations because he couldn't solve the problem, we ended up replacing the thermostat first, that did not fix the problem, then the blower motor, didn't help either, then the heater core, the blender door, and some resistor. After all this work was done, the repairs only produced lukewarm air, no heat. Wesley stated that the heat problem would be fixed the longer the car was driven. We left the area on Nov 16, 2025 and up to now, Jan. 4th, 2026, the car is not blowing hot air. Bottomline, we paid him over $1500.00 and the problem never got fixed. I have left phone messages for him several times, and not one response. I am giving this review to warn other potential victims not to deal with business. Frank in Texas.
