This jiffy lube is now under new management and I received the best service here I have had in years. I got that just after they opened and was the 4th car. I was greeted very kindly by the new manager, Bob, and was told they were short handed but they would get to me as quickly as they could. At first I thought it was just because somebody didn't show up but later found out it was that most of the old crew had been cut once new management had taken over (a good thing!). Even understaffed, Bob and his crew managed to get my oil changed in about 30 minutes with 3 cars ahead of me. I was told that he's in the middle of filling out the rest of his crew so can only assume that time will decrease in the future. You can tell the new manager is intent on turning this location around and cares about his job and customers. While I was there, I heard another customer say similar things. If you've sworn off this location in the past, give 'em another shot! read more

I would like to give five stars for a great oil change and replacement of my front rearview mirror. I had smashed my front rearview mirror and while getting an oil change, I asked them about replacing this for me. After I bought the part with their recommendation from an online and reputable store, I got it in the mail quite fast, came back to Jiffy Lube in Hutto to get the new rearview mirror replaced. They quoted me the same price as they did before, replaced it quickly and professionally and made sure everything worked in front of me. I really appreciate the extra steps the manager took to make sure that the part was installed correctly and to make sure that I felt satisfied and confident in their work. I am sure I saved a lot of money by going with Jiffy Lube in Hutto, because the Honda dealership, probably would have charged me two or three times more than what I paid. Great experience! Saw a line of cars and thought I would have to wait since I got there in the evening. I was greeted immediately, told to drive around back to the second bay. Gabriel let me around back to see what I needed, told him I needed an oil change. He went over the pros and cons of different levels of oil without trying to hard sell me. He pointed out where the bathrooms were and ask if I need anything to let him know. While checking out he recommended that I set up my "dashboard" for deals and coupons. I saved $5 right on the spot. Wow, what can I say? What a difference a day makes. I recently went out on a Saturday to get my motorcycle inspected. The first place I went was Jiffy Lube in Hutto, because I live close and that's where I got it inspected last time. Great experience last time, but this time I was told at least 45 mins. I was on a time schedule and that wasn't going to work. Should have Yelped about that first one because it would counter the thunder I'm bringing on this one. My son is 18 and this was his first time to bring in his truck (which used to be mine and has been serviced and inspected several times by this same store when I had it) for a safety inspection. I had him check all of the obvious items on the truck, prior to the inspection. He went to Auto Zone who helped him check the items over and even replaced one of his DTRs for him. There was still one intermittent issue with the ABS light and the BRAKE lights on the instrument panel that I thought might be an issue, so I went with him to get the inspection done. The first tech that came out to greet us was cordial and I told him I just needed to speak to their inspector to ask about the brake indicator lights, because I didn't want to waste my time or theirs, if it wasn't going to pass because of that. He went back into the store to check and told me that the inspector was getting ready to leave, but that the manager would look at it.... Jeremy. We proceed into the store where the inspection tech asks for proof of insurance, and the keys. I told him that I just wanted to know if it would pass or fail with the brake system indicators on and he said the manager would be over in a bit. The manager walks in and I make initial contact with Jeremy. After two attempts to connect on a cordial level, I gave up. This guy was hatin' life. It was 4pm and I told him "well, at least it's almost over" (because they close at 6pm) to which he replies "It ain't over for me until Monday when I finally get a day off." There was no humor in his voice, only disdain. So, I tell him the issue with the panel indicators and he says he'll look at it. Finally, after almost an hour of waiting,we did end up wasting our time at the store, because he failed it for the indicator lights, which he admitted went off when he got back in the truck to bring it around, but failed it for "STOPPING DISTANCE." The other safety item he failed it on was two manifold bolts that have the heads broken off of them. Reason given "COMPONENTS PRESENCE." There's a problem though. and this is where the argument starts. I told him he never had permission to inspect the truck and that I only wanted to know if the indicator lights would cause it to fail. I refused to pay, but he kept arguing that by law I was required to pay and that "the inspection started as soon as you showed you insurance card." I told him again that he did not have permission to inspect the vehicle and he then backpedals on the brake light issue saying the lights went off, so I would only have to replace the broken bolts (anyone that knows anything about broken bolts knows you don't "just replace them") and it would pass, but here's the second point of contention. The exhaust IS NOT LEAKING. I bought this truck in 2004 when it was three years old and those were missing back then. The exhaust has NEVER leaked and it was never a problem until this inspection. "Components presence" is for obvious things like missing EGR valves, air pumps, exhaust pipe hangers, mufflers tailpipe and other major components, often removed for performance modifications. I've never experienced a manager that was so quick to argue, (he even argued with me about the safety inspection bill that's on the governor's desk, saying Abbott isn't going to sign it) and totally not give a fat shit about who his customers are. If I was a real ass, I could tell my service techs to stop going to Jiffy Lube (the company I work for has a huge fleet of service trucks and I approve invoices worth thousands of dollars from Heartland Automotive), but I don't believe Jeremy represents them, nor should other employees pay for him, like Jontrel (sp) that obviously care more about their customers and Heartland/Jiffy Lube than their own store manager does. There's so much more I could go on about, regarding this visit, but I don't have time for the details and this is already too long. Jiffy Lube will never get another dime out of me, or my family. I know for sure my son will never go there again. He doesn't even want to go back for the "free" re-inspection, and said he'd rather take it somewhere else. read more

Went in this last sunday for a state inspection. Was told 30 mins. After 1 hour i asked when it would be done was told my car is next. 15 mins later they tell me my car does not pass because gas cap failed. This vehicle is an 06 Toyota and the the computer monitors the evap system for leaks, if the gas cap was bad i would have had a check engine light. I took the car to another inspection station near my work in Round Rock. Gas cap passed with no problem. Stay away from this place...these kids do not have the ability to work on cars or light trucks and do a proper repair. read more

Had my car inspected at this Jiffy Lube. Very disappointed with the level of customer service. Only failed the car for burned-out license plate bulbs. I have come back twice to get the car reinspected and in both instances have been put back at the end of the line. UPDATE: went back in the afternoon and received immediate service with a great attitude from the staff so I have updated my appraisal to 3 stars from 1!!! So 5 years ago I was there for State inspection, long story short. I was the first customer early morning, but they did for 3 customers behind me first, then a guy came to me and asked what are you here for? and what are you waiting for? Any way, total waste time for over 2 hours for state inspection. Then yesterday 9/8/2018, I drove by there again and saw 10 techs stood outside smoking, and I need state inspection, so I stopped. then less than 2 minutes, a black girl came to me and said your car loud noise, it will be fail, go fix it, I asked most other guys around, did you guys hear noise? and they all looked at me and laugh, I said guys: 2 weeks ago my 2010 Honda CR-V had serviced at Round Rock Honda dealer, and the mechanic said nothing wrong with my car. So to me, all smart people work at Jiffy Lube, and all "stupid" mechanic people work at Honda dealer. Then I took my car to Christian Brothers Automotive for State inspection done within 10 minutes. read more

My husband took his car to Jiffy Lube to have it inspected. We had put a new battery in the day before so they told us that we would have to drive the car for 80 miles to clear the codes and to come back, but that everything else passed. So we drove the car 105 miles and went back, to be told that it did not pass because our tint was too dark? We have had this car for a couple of years, the tint has always been on it, and it has always passed. So I made him take the car to Hutto Fast Lube, where it passed inspection. We went back and complained to the manager at Jiffy Lube and he checked and our car did pass the tint inspection, so I do not know what was up with the person who did not know what he was doing. I will say that the manager did refund us our money. But I will never use this Jiffy Lube again. read more

I have always heard terrible things about Jiffy Lube in general. But, we took the chance and for many years have been very pleased. I recently had an oil leak, called and Royce offered to check it out for free. Sadly, it was beyond their repain and he even gave me the number to a local mechanic. Great guys! I just wish we could skip the sales pitch before the oil change, but I'm sure that is corporate talking. Either way, great place & local guys will take care of you. I am sad to report that I have now learned my oil leak was caused by these guys :( After taking a day off to bring my car to a local mechanic I learned they Jiffy Lube just split a ton of oil when doing my oil change. Apparently is was a pretty sloppy job that caused this whole issue. After 5 hours at the mechanic they found no leak at all. I am so disappointed. I normally rave about these guys, but sadly I will no longer be returning for service. read more

So when I'm too lazy to do my own oil changes on my car, I just take it on in to Jiffy Lube to have it done. I've had them change my oil a number of times since they opened out here in Hutto, and their level of service has been great, quick, and consistent. In addition to changing out the oil, they also will check the rest of your fluids, and fill them up if they are low. I'm not sure if people just haven't discovered the quick service they offer, because whenever I've gone, there are just a few cars that they are working on. PLus majority of the times they have an "early bird" special if you take your car in before a certain time in the morning. read more

Don't take your vehicles here claimed my 2018 Ford Mustang 5.0 didn't have oil, that "it came in empty"...went out checked it right in their bay and hey what do ya know they didn't drain it yet and it has oil, made a total mess of my skid plate drenched in oil. Also claimed my K'n'N air filter was dirty and needed to be replaced but I installed that myself and it's still brand new less than 1000 miles on it...probably lost some of my screws for my skid plate too will have to check when I get to a friends. read more

For oil changes this place is fine. But I took my daughter's car which had only 36,000 miles in for a brake job and the the break mechanic was dishonest. He claimed the rotors needed replacement, and I knew that wasn't true. I ended up changing the brake pads myself and the rotors were in perfect shape. read more

They are supposed to open at 7. 10 minutes after 7 a employee shows up but he can't open up. He calls manager, no answer. Woman in front is loud, obnoxious, and unprofessional. Men in back seem to not care if customer gets what they are paying for. They seem unconcerned about customer care. It was Sunday. They were my third stop to get an oil change. Hutto Kwik Lube was closed, NTB was booked. Jiffy lube was clear of cars, so it was my best bet. I was greeted kindly with a clear explanation of their cost for an oil change. The man got the door for me, offered me some ice water, and showed me the waiting area. A cashier checked in on me twice while I waited to see if u had any questions about the breakdown of the service and fees. I was driving away in less than ten minutes. You pay a little more here, but it was done quickly and graciously. They did a few things that Hutto Kwik Lube never did for me: vacuum the rugs and wash the windows. I didn't ask for that, so it was nice. If they can perform the same way in a rush, I would have no hesitation coming back on a busy day, even if the wait was a little longer. read more

I had the most wonderful experience today at Jiffy Lube. The young man greeted me as soon as I pulled up and opened my car door and the back door for my child to get out. He asked me what I would like to do and told me he would take care of it for me. He then showed us to the waiting room where I talked with the manager I believe. He was very kind and friendly. It was great to talk with someone who was so personal, you don't get much of that now a days. When my car was ready they helped me check out and helped me out to my car. This was all done within 10-15 minutes. I was so grateful that they could help me out and get it done in a reasonable time. I honestly would have waited 45 minutes to an hour with this great service. I've grudgingly used these guys in the past when I've absolutely had to and it has always been a bit of a hassle and a game that we play wherein they try to brow beat me into upgrading to synthetic oil or new filters for this or a new that...so I've pretty much stopped going there for oil changes. I did go in for an inspection today which I should have known not to do. I pull my truck in for the inspection and they make me go get the insurance to bring inside...then promptly take it outside which is dumb. Then I'm told that both my license plate lights are out (which they were). I ask if he can go ahead and complete the inspection and I'll run over to auto zone to get the light. He says "no, it is first come first serve and you'll have to get back in line when you return, and I've got an oil change to do now". So I go get the stupid light and put it in, go back and there are now 3 people there to get inspections. He tells me that its going to be another 45 minutes and I need to move my truck so he can do whatever he was going to do...hands me back my insurance card and walks away. I've been trying for 2 days to get an inspection done at this place and each time I've been told it will be at least a 45 minute to 2 hour wait. They need to change their name from Jiffy Lube because there isn't anything Jiffy about the whole process. The people there are rude as hell and treat you like you just woke them up on their day off. It is quite evident that they don't want to be there working by their attitude and that will be the last time I go there for anything. read more

That obviously didn't happen. $80 for oil change and they didn't vacuum or even take off old sticker or fill out new one. yep, you got me but not again!!! went in and said give me the cheap oil change but the main thing i was concerned about was if they rotated tires, b/c i really needed them rotated. the guy says yes we rotate tires with oil change! no mention that it cost extra, so i told him hey im gonna walk over to goodwill and look around. come back 20 mins later, im back only to find that im being charged $70 for a damn oil change with a coupon and they did NOT ROTATE MY TIRES!!!! This place is usually my to go spot. They are close to home and are usually very nice. Today has made me not want to go back. I went to drop off my vehicle for an oil change and inspection. I knew it would take a while so that is why I was going to drop it off. Well the little teenie bopper that was in the office barely showed his face, told me to pull my car around. Ok, done. I went back I side after pulling it around, he sees me come inside and goes outside. He didn't even acknowledge me and started cleaning someone else's vehicle. I just wanted to drop off my car. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! My son went to have his oil changed and all they did was to drain it and maybe add 1 quart. It wasn't until his car died and had to be towed in the mechanic said that the oil had not been changed!!!! ( it took 3 quarts before the car even registered). The manager was completely unfazed by my call and was utterly unsympathetic and ultimately unhelpful. It seems like he has heard this before. read more

My husband and I were on our way home from Taylor and we thought our brakes began to grind. It got worse as we passed through Hutto and we knew we had to stop. The closest automotive shop was Jiffy Lube. We asked if they worked on brakes and the young employee said that his manager did. We told the manager, Michael, of our plight and he said he would check it out. He suggested we get a bite to eat as they were very busy. We did and he called about ten minutes later and told us what was wrong. He drove to the Toyota parts department and got our part, changed it, and fixed it. He called us and told us it was ready; when we got there, he told us there was no charge! We fully expected at least a $75 bill, but this man was more concerned about our safety! What a pleasant surprise! Kindness, thoughtfulness, honesty! We could not recommend this Jiffy Lube more! read more
