I brought my car in yesterday and it was right before they were about to close and Mike took a quick look at my brakes and saw nothing wrong but told me to come in tomorrow morning to do a more thorough check. So I came today and he was very helpful and so was Cliff. These guys are very attentive and what I like is that they don't feed you crap. Stopped by this location for an oil change. they were busy and a tech walked out and said it would be about an hour. I said okay, I can wait. While waiting, another tech came out and cleaned the windshield. Finally, I get to pull into the stall for my oil change and a third tech walk up and says "Sorry dude, I don't have a filter for this car." I mentioned it would have been nice if someone told me that before making me wait all this time and reply I got was "I wasn't paying attention." i've been to this location several times in and out 15 minutes. This time it took one hour. With only one car in front of me. I heard Several employees arguing among themselves. Manager telling employees over and over to wear their protective glasses and also telling everyone that a certain employee cannot touch any of the cars. i offer my coupon to Eddie and said he will take care of it. I ask Eddie what the price was he said he remove the coupon so I gave him my credit card. He comes back with the price the same. Great shop to get your oil changed. I've been here several times for my wife's car. Usually pretty quick service. Just depends on how many vehicles are there. Staff has always been very friendly and informative. I brought a newer work truck in for its first oil change and the manager was very open and honest with me. They had trouble getting the filter off and didn't want to damage the truck trying. Suggested I take it to the dealer. They could have easily ripped me off and claimed they swapped it. How would I have known? For that kindness alone they have a customer for life. read more

Being a long time Jiffy Lube customer, I've tried to give this place a chance more than once since it's at a convenient location right by my work, but I just can't bring myself to ever come back here again. Today I just wanted a simple oil change and tire rotation. I was one of the first people there before a rush of people came, and took them over an hour just to complete my request as they helped all the customers behind me. Their reason was that there was only one person on the entire staff who could do the tire rotations, and he preferred to do everyone's oil changes first before bothering to complete my job because it's obviously an inconvenience to him. Before that several months ago, I wanted a state inspection and every time I went yet again, only one person on the entire staff could do it. I checked by first two days, being told that he wasn't there. I finally asked for a specific time and was told he was only there from some ridiculous time frame like 3pm to 4pm. Why even offer state inspections and tire rotations when it's only done when it's convenient to the workers there? It's just unbelievable. I want to add that the cashier did take off the charge for the tire rotation, but it doesn't change the fact it shouldn't happen in the first place. EDIT BELOW: 07/11/14 I wanted to update my review and rating to reflect the immediate reach out I received next day to my complaint. I sent a comment via Jiffy Lube website which prompted the manager at the Hutto location to call me very next day, offering an apology and full refund which I do appreciate. I was also reached out to via Yelp which was unexpected to me as well. I've always had good experiences at other locations such as in San Marcos. I don't plan to use the Hutto location anytime soon, but I do hope they make some changes there to improve the overall staff in customer service and professionalism like I have received in other locations. read more

This Jiffy Lube has great customer service over the phone and later hours than most oil change places in the area. Good things. The demeanor of staff when I first arrived was not so good. I pulled in, and one of the mechanics opened the door for me (kudos!), and then I told them I needed an oil change and was abruptly told I needed to pull my car around. Most places I've been to drive the car around for you, you don't have to enter the garage, etc. Just what I was used to. Well, the mechanic who had opened the door quickly offered to pull my car around for me (kudos!). Oil change was quick and efficient. They even vacuumed the floors and seats of my car! Free of charge. Didn't even say anything. It was such a pleasant surprise the next day when I finally noticed. Kudos!! read more

I'll start off by saying I've used this Jiffy Lube before and have never had any issues whatsoever with them. This last time I went in for an oil change and inspection. When I left my car was struggling to shift gears. Took it to the dealer and they called to inform me that the transmission fluid was drained and the new oil was put in with the old oil. I've been told to bring the information from the dealer shop and they'll get their district manager to refund me. This could have been very, very, very bad for my car. I'd give zero stars if I could. DON'T EVER GO HERE!!! Untrained techs. We took our truck here for an oil change and they drained the transmission fluid. Who can't tell the difference!!! I should have just had my grandmother do it. They stripped the bolt, put it back in without telling us it was stripped. The transmission fluid slowly drained over a couple months until the transmission started to slip. Immediately took it to Toyota. $800 dollars later its fixed. Jiffy Lube denied the claim stating {direct quote} "it was over 3 months since your last visit". I came in for an oil change, NOT A TRANSMISSION FLUSH. The techs and equipment aren't even authorized to do a change and don't have the necessary tools. Unprofessional during claim process, unethical, poor business practices.. The new manager stated when we came in.. "we have had so many claims against the last crew that was here" . Oh my. The person who checked me in and out was not very bright. I told him three times that I wanted full synthetic. He could not get my mileage or license number right - I don't care about that, but HQ probably does for some tracking. He couldn't get my coupon included, but did give me $5 off (+1 star for that.) I got synthetic blend, not what I asked for. The really irritating thing was that when I got in my car, the gear shift, steering wheel, keys, door handle and hood were all filthy. The second I put my hands on the wheel, I lifted them off, and they were slimy and black. When I got home I got a rag to wipe it all down, the rag was completely black. Disgusting. Jiffy Lube is very much "a box of chocolates." Some of them are great, and some are not. This one is definitely not, I will not go back... ever... ever... ever. read more

First thing I had the standard conversation about how I need synthetic oil and a new air filter. That didn't go well and that was the start of a bad experience. My tire pressure was correct at 30 pounds all around when I arrived at the Hutto store. I noticed a very hard ride when I left your store. When I got home and checked my email I had a notice from OnStar to check my tire pressure. I did. 38 pounds all around. Invoice said the technicians filled them to 35 psi. The recommended level for my vehicle is 30 psi. Why does Jiffy Lube always treat people like they don't have a brain? I have never been to Jiffy Lube when I didn't need an air filter or didn't need to upgrade to synthetic oil. I went to Jiffy Lube because I was in a hurry and needed an oil change before I took a weekend trip. Now I have to correct the tire pressure and I really feel like I should probably get an oil change. I have little confidence that the oil and filter was actually changed. Never again. read more

Today was my fifth time going there and once again it was trouble-free. True, I'd wanted to get the state safety inspection in addition to the oil change, but the inspection tech wasn't going to be in until later. I've run into that at a variety of shops over the years, so no big deal. I did get the oil change and there was the usual effort to up sell, but we do that where I work too....its called selling. Some of the things I went for - the tire rotation was needed and the cabin air filter was about three years old - others I did not, but I didn't get any hard sell. I just said I'd pass this time, and that was that. They did the work pretty quickly and I was on my way will definitely be back. I'd also like to note that this Jiffy Lube is 11 miles from my house, and there are plenty of other lube places along the way, but I don't mind driving out of my way for a hassle-free experience. read more

Waited 15 minutes got hungry and went next door to eat, came back my car was out in the parking lot, I spoke to the wrong guy, the "main" guy never approched me or asked me what I wanted. Nothing Jiffy about it. Was told less than an hour for an inspection. Two hours later they haven't even started. Edit: 2.5 hours and still waiting. They told me to leave the keys in the car. Now they tell me the keys should be on their desk because that's how they know who is next. Edit: 3 hours and they just took it back. The person that just paid for their inspection and left got here an hour and a half after I did. Really wish 0 stars was an option. My husband went on Saturday for a vehicle inspection before 4:00 pm, the guy said he wasn't going to do any more inspections that day and to come in the next day which Was a Sunday, and my husband "asked are you open on Sunday" and the guy said yes if you come at 10 o'clock in the morning, you'll be the first one in line for an inspection. My husband was there at 10 o'clock he waited for 20 minutes and no one even ever came over and said anything to him, he finally got out and told the guy off and told him his business is crap and he would never ever use them again and he left mad.
