So I call these guys up during the week and ask them when they close and I am told they close at 7:00PM. I ask what the latest time I can come to get my oil changed because I'm courteous and they tell me 7:00PM. So what happens when I show up at 6:30, you know, because I am courteous? They said they're not taking anymore cars. Really? After I called and asked you when the latest you'd take a car and was told 7:00PM? Ok, so anyway...come back another day they do the oil change and I tell them specifically I have a brake light out and would like it changed. Guy tells me "no problem brother." So they finish up and some other guy is telling the price and and showing the screen with all the things they check for "free." So I ask him about the brake light. "What do you mean?" he says. I point to the screen and say "look you checked the lights, the box is checked." Guy looks at me like I am speaking Klingon to him. So i ask, "did you check the lights and fix the brake light like I asked when I got here?" More blank stares. He excuses himself, I see them all fumbling around like idiots. They do eventually change the bulb. Guy comes back make some bullshit excuse about mix up with cars etc. So, yea...now I am starting to wonder if they actually changed my oil or not. Lesson learned, this place sucks. read more

Some days I changed oil from my car. the attendant informed me that I would have to change the air filter of the cabin and the engine, he wanted to charge me 49.00 for each one. I told him that I would even change why I buy the auto zone the two for 29.00. and they wanted to charge me 49 for each one. Until then, everyone gets what they want. but the mechanic there put the filter of the engine in the car because I did not try to switch with it. he tightened both the screw of the box where the engine filter is that broke the box. the next day after I bought the filters for $ 29.00 I went to change and to my surprise all the screws were so tight that I almost could not open and before opening I saw that one side was broken. and as it is always I who change I knew that who had broken was the mechanic of the jiflube. First, for the good part: these mechanics here are generally pretty cordial and competent, and get the job done. Upselling is bearable and reasonable; when they offered tire rotations, brake jobs, etc, I knew my car was more or less due for them. But over the several times I've come here, several issues of carelessness/dishonesty have come up. My Mazda 3 takes 4.4 quarts of oil; I looked at the bill once and saw they charged me for 5 quarts. An employee explained they had to round it up to that, but did, in fact, only put in the correct amount my car takes. Yet a dip stick check showed it was overfilled... Another time, I brought in 5 quarts of my own oil for them to put in my car and explained, as clear as possibly, that "Since this car takes 4.4 quarts, I expect you to leave, and give me, the fifth bottle still containing six-tenths of a quart." Oil change finishes, and I see no Penzoil bottle on the seats or in the trunk; they explain, "All 5 quarts fit in the engine, so we put in all 5 quarts." Dipstick showed an overfill, which is unnecessary and can, usually in larger amounts than 6/10ths of a quart, cause flooding. Also, during one of my first few visits here, they lost/didn't bother to re-attach my oil drain cover. An ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure; instead of defensively pouring over things people on the internet say about your branch, get your employees to CARE about customers and treat the cars like they would treat their own. read more

Hey guys. If you want to get an oil change only then this place will do the trick. While I was there I decided to get my tires rotated and my windshields replaced - pretty straightforward stuff, right? Not a week later I had to take my car in to an actual shop because I was having trouble with my car; the steering wheel was shaking and the tire was making a clicking sound. Come to find out the tread on my tire was so bad that I'm lucky it did not pop on me because that would have been extremely dangerous. So I had to replace the tire, no big deal, BUT I would have thought that when Jiffy Lube performed a tire rotation they would have noticed how bad my tire was and would have informed me. After calling to talk to Edgar who was "in charge" he had nothing to say except "I'm not sure what you want me to say/do." He had no idea what the hell was going on and yes Jiffy Lube sucks so needless to say I will not be returning back there. read more

i usually come here because it's close by and convenient. i can drop the car off and run some errands or grab some food across the street, then get a quick car wash after at fast5. i also usually like this location because they dont try to upsell too much or tell me i need a new filter everytime. this time they showed my filter and said it was "about time" i cant remember the last time i changed my filter so i said fine (even though now i think about it, it was not that bad). how much is it? $25. ok. they also said they would give me $10 off and a free car wash. fine and dandy, the coupon i had was for $12 so good deal. when i come back, the filter was $29.99 on the invoice. i question this and he says no worries i'm giving you $10 off. i say no....you were going to give me $10 off when it was $25 so how does giving me $10 fix it? he ended up at $13 off. why? i dont know...i was annoyed at having to "haggle" over $5. so overall, my latest experience with them made me rethink this particular location. or maybe its just that guy, if i see him....i'll come back another time. read more

When I presented the coupon he kindly explained that the prices have increased by $2 and so I would pay the coupon + $2. He inspected my tires and suggested getting them rotated and aligned even if its not here. We pulled out the air filter and he told me I could wait on it. Not pushy at all. Walked me to the waiting room and let me know of the refreshments and bathroom. Later came out to let me know my wipers need to be changed and one of the brake lightd were out. If there was an option to give zero stars, I would. I was extremely dissatisfied because this shop cost me $600 in maintenance at my mechanic's shop, to fix their mistake. I took my car back to this shop after my routine oil change because it was returned to me making a strange loud noise. All the employees checked my car in a group huddle, and within 2 minutes came out and told me there was nothing they could do and to go see a mechanic. So I did, I took my car to my mechanic. The diagnosis revealed that the damage that was done to my valve cover was caused by an oil filler nozzle being jammed into the valve cover to the point where the internal baffle was broken loose and hole in valve cover was from the inside. I will never ever come to this shop again. Which is a shame because I live across the street and would ordinarily go all the time. I will no longer be a regular customer at this shop. I would like to get reimbursed for the damage that this shop did to my car. I shouldn't have to pay for their mechanical mistakes. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon after work for a simple oil change. I was immediately greeted by Sam, who made sure that I was taken care of. He was honest with me about my car. I always appreciate that as I usually do the minimum for my car just to keep it running. I got a few extra things done, including a transmission fluid change. It was a little pricey, but Sam made sure to find all the coupons he could apply to help me out. The service was fast and friendly. The waiting area was clean, had magazines and the olympics on TV, free wifi, and free coffee/tea. I was very happy with the service. The free car wash with an oil change is also a major bonus! I woke up early to take my car in for an oil change this morning. I chose this location since it is close to my house and since I had such a bad experience at the one off Irvine Center Drive. Wow, what a difference!! I was immediately greeted by Scott. I asked him how much the service would cost and he instantly gave me pricing, breaking it down for me so I knew what I was going to pay. It definitely was not as much as the other location tried to quote me. So, I gave the go ahead. As they were ready to take it in, Scott popped the hood and noticed that they did not carry my oil filter. He went to check with the manager too, but unfortunately I could only get it from the dealer. BUST! So bummed they couldn't do my oil change, but 4 starts for the awesome customer service and honesty! Kudos to the manager who trained the staff because he's doing a great job! read more

Had oil changes done here for couple of years, but never again! Last July they broke off the dip stick, left it inside and put on a makeshift cap. Then they said to go to dealership to have it removed, but gave me a cheap replacement to use after we get the broken stick out. The "cap" they put on melted and plugged the hole so it had to be extracted. It's a long story, but NEVER again going to this Jiffy Lube. My first visit here and I was so impressed and will definitely come back! My vehicle hasn't run so smoothly in ages - we took it on a drive that night just to enjoy how great it was running after Jiffy Lube! The place I usually go for oil changes they lecture me on vehicle care and are not at all friendly. So I was dreading going for an oil change and decided to try this Jiffy since it was located right next to a shopping centre to pass the time and get breakfast at the corner bakery cafe. The gentleman told me i could pull right up. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who helped us- he was extremely professional while still being friendly and respectful and didn't make me embarrassed at all for knowing nothing about cars - quite the opposite. All of the talking was done at a computer outside, right where we dropped the vehicle. He showed me the manufacturers recommended services based on mileage - without an ounce of pressure - seriously!! It was awesome! I already knew I wanted to do the service so asked yes please to go ahead with that and the oil change. Oh and I asked if they could change the burned out brake light which was only a few dollars to do. And I mentioned some sounds I was concerned with the vehicle and he said he would definitely check it out. He said they had a lounge area with coffee and gave a time estimate. We went on our walk and by the time we came back the vehicle was already ready and waiting. Went inside to pay and it was a clean and spacious room with tables and chairs and a Keurig or something like that. They had vacuumed the vehicle and also gave us a stamp for a complimentary car wash at the car wash that is attached to their building. They had checked the tires too. Oh and sometimes I feel like some garages have a bunch of employees staring and standing around and it's a bit uncomfortable - it was not at all like that here. Everyone else was busy working and only talking to each other, so you get a real sense of privacy and not that you're being talked about or anything like that. I should also mention that a lady showed up with a car emergency of some type and they immediately helped her out. I am actually looking forward to going back for my next oil change now that I have found the Jiffy on Main as opposed to dreading and putting off oil changes. Thank you! read more

When checking in with Sergio, another tech had stepped in my car to pull it in and began grinding the gears. When I asked Sergio if all of the tech's including the one attempting to drive my car was able to drive manual, his response was a casual "yea". I asked Sergio if he even noticed that the tech was grinding my gears and if he could do something about it. Sergio was in no rush to tell the guy to stop the engine, but assured me he'd have someone else drive it into the shop. Well, I waited outside to verify this and the same guy drove it in. When checking out, Sergio came to drop off my keys with the cashier and when I asked him who he had drive the car in, he said he didn't know. He didn't ask anyone else or check. The cashier, John, had no idea that this had happened. There was no apology from Sergio or from the tech who grinded my gears. I was asked to pay full price for a semi synthetic oil change-$80. John said that Jiffy Lube doesn't empower their employees, thus there was nothing that he could do and I'd have to talk to the manager. He didn't say he'd relay the message. He told me I had to call. Upon calling yesterday, Rueben, the manager, was out on lunch and I was unable to call back again. This type of service for an $80 oil change is ridiculous and uncalled for. I'm very disappointed in Jiffy Lube and the employees. I will definitely not be returning. read more

I was looking for a quick oil change on my lunch break and this place just happened to be down the street from my office. I didn't phone ahead to make an appointment, but I did check the website for a coupon ($5 off!). I showed up about 10 minutes before noon and was out of there by 12:15. Was amazing! The staff was friendly and very helpful. They offered me coffee (Keurig) while I sat in the lounge. Warning to all the ladies and business gentlemen who look like they don't know anything about vehicles... This is the MOST shady business who is only concerned with hustling customers who seem to not know anything about vehicles. Here's the run down... I pull up asking for an oil change. Then they proceed to go through my car popping out air filters and taking a transmission smear, etc. Now once again, all I said when I pulled up was that I needed an oil change... But suddenly, I am approached by a mechanic (pfft yeah right) telling me that my car isn't going to make it because the air filter is bad and showing me that the transmission fluid smear is burnt... Hmmm really? For one thing the air filter is in pretty damn good condition for a car my age... And that transmission smear definitely DID NOT come from my car because I JUST had the dealership flush my transmission and change my computers! At that statement, he said, "Oh, um, really? Well I'll just check that again." Which he never approached me about again. He finally asks me...AGAIIN... Why I am there and I said AGAIN...that I just need an oil change, and if he could check the air pressure in my tires. He directs me to the waiting room and quotes me a 20min wait. Meanwhile I can see glimpses of my car with the hood up, but no technician... But suddenly he puts the hood back down and I get called to pay. Fine, the oil change was $40, but to be told that my tires weren't checked because they were Nitrogen based and could only be checked by Costco was B.S. Why?? Because my tires came from Ramona Tires, they've been checked by other jiffy lubes, and a used car shop... So of course I asked him to repeat that statement again due to the level of ignorance. But fine whatever, I can just check it myself. Just thought that I could kill two birds with one stone while getting my oil changed. I make it back home, but something just wasn't sitting right with me about my experience. So I decide to check my oil.... Guess what folks!!! They didn't do it. It's still as low and as dark as before. I drive back, playing damsel in distress cause obviously that's who they thought I was, and asked for a tutorial on checking oil. The same guy who tried to hustle me earlier storms off to get a towel and returns (knowing that this car hasn't had its oil changed) and pulls out the stick... But shows me the back where there are no lines, just a smooth surface. Claiming, "see that smear... It's full cause it's the whole surface and it's clear. So you got your oil changed." I was so furious at this point that I just got in my car and drove off to the Jiffy Lube that I know well and trust because I WILL get a refund for this. Anyone can check oil first of all, so either these mechanics are incompetent... Or lazy! All they did was lift my hood, wait 20 min, and then tell me my car was done. I truly want to threaten with legal action because anyone can see that this oil was NOT changed a day ago. Listen folks! Make sure that the services that you pay for here get done, and make sure that they don't scare you into unnecessary services. On Sunday 9/09/2012, My wife and I stopped by Jiffy Lube to get the oil changed and U-Joints lubed on our 2006 F150 4x4. I had replaced the Factory U-Joints with new ones that had Zerk fittings. After about twenty minutes, the service tech came inside and informed me that everything had been completed, including greasing the U-Joints, finished the paperwork, and we were off.......everything seemed good. I returned home and popped the hood to double check the oil level....which was fine......and then looked underneath the truck to double check the zerk fittings for a hint that the U-Joints had been greased properly ( excess grease visible ) . Unfortunately, I discovered that not only had the U-Joints not been greased but the service tech had instead squeezed and spread grease all over the surface of both U-Joints and the front of the chassis of the truck. Once the drive shaft began to spin at a high rate of speed, much of the surface applied grease flew off and onto everything underneath my truck (exhaust, tires, frame...etc...etc ). I took the truck back to Jiffy Lube and asked the manager exactly what had been done and why..??!!! He informed me that he was sorry and would have the grease cleaned off. He then informed me that they did not have the correct grease fitting ( needle Injector ) to grease my U-Joints and credited me $10.00 for my trouble..!! Woo Hoo..!! So, had I not been pro-active, I would have never know that my U-Joints had not been lubricated.......WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN A HUGE PROBLEM AT HIGH SPEEDS should they have seized!!! Pretty dangerous and unprofessional..!!! You be the judge.................I will not go to this shop again read more

I was able to pull in on a Saturday morning without a wait. The guys there seemed like they were in a rush, but they weren't unfriendly. I was quoted around $80 for a synthetic oil change and oil filter replacement for my Mercedes, which is pretty much the standard charge. However, two problems occurred. 1) Tried to get me to replace my cabin air filter for $49.99, when my air filter costs less than $15 and can be easily snapped in and out from under the hood. 2) After sitting down in the waiting room for a few minutes, they pull me out of there and tell me that they don't have my oil filter. They told me they'd do the oil change if I bought a new filter and came back. I guess I should be happy that they didn't lie about not having the filter and had just gone through with the oil change. I don't know why this Jiffy Lube does not carry a fairly common oil filter- EZ Lube has always carried it. read more

Showed up at 6:05 (they close at 7:00) to get my oil changed. There was one car in and another car pulling in,when I said I wanted to get my oil changed he looked at me and said "for real". He then proceeded to tell me it was only 3 of them and if I wanted to wait they could get to it (all the while looking very frustrated). I am a former mechanic who knows all to well that even if you take your time you can do a oil change in under 15 minutes(even with the "inspection/cleaning"). Simple fact is these guys are lazy wanna-be mechanics who don't have an ounce of pride in the work they do. Busy cleaning so they can go home while my car sits outside waiting. When done I pulled away and noticed the car running rough. I popped the hood and seen that they had pulled the intake of the air cleaner box off the intake and left it like that. Fortunately I had a screwdriver and reattached it. Plus they didn't even try to get any of the spilled oil off the car....smoked like a chimney. Never will go back again after going there for over 2 years. read more

They informed me about a few things to keep an eye out on for on my vehicle and even gave me a free car wash after the oil change! They were very caring and attentive to all of their guests' needs.
