This was my first oil change here and they guys are…read moreinformative and they look like they all have fun coming to work and happy employees are important to me. I never know whats true or not. They bring me oil colors so I can see the difference between my dirty colors and the new vibrant colors I should have. So of course I want my car to run great so im saying yes to every new filter and yes to every new fluid but Im not a mechanic so im trusting them like I've trusted my last oil change place. There is a good energy here and I hope they are doing everything they say they are doing because this is my only vehicle and Im a single mom with 2 teenagers. Between the 3 of us we are constantly going to and from everywhere. So far im happy with the service but I still have 3 guys under my hood. The real test will be how well we do until our next inspection. Based off my experience so far I will be back =). FYI: I was a committed customer to Valvoline Express off of Dyer and Main in Santa Ana but they did something I didnt like during my last oil change. So the last time I was there left a great review but before I drove off the guy brings me a list of all the things they did to my car and the only thing I recognized was Replaced windshield wiper. I knew for a fact they replaced them. They guy apologized and replaced them but now how do I know what else "they forgot" to do?

SMH…read more --- Been meaning to write this review for weeks, but the final straw came today when I found out yet again that the clowns working at this Oil Stop are either a.) incompetent or b.) did the equivalent of spitting in my food for an oil change establishment. 1. I sat through this oil change asking only for 1 thing upon pulling in- please check/fill the air in the tires because I have an alert on the dash that they're low. Literally was told I was all set and go to drive away, only to find the tires were still low and hadn't been touched. 2. The day after my oil change, I hear a grinding of sorts. Upon investigation, find that the plastic piece of the undercarriage was hanging down, not secured in place, and now torn up from the pavement from driving on it. (Mind you, they needed to remove this piece to change the oil.) My boyfriend takes it back, to be told it was "already like that" and when bf asks why they didn't mention it to me if it was already damaged, their response was "well, she's a woman". Unbelievable because shouldn't I be warned of a potential danger? 3. After they secured the damaged piece back, I am now getting an error on dash stating the front camera is blocked. Upon investigation, there is a clear finger print of OIL smeared over said camera. 4. I take the car for a minor repair to my normal place and they inform me the oil dipstick is BROKEN. Now, either these guys did this when they changed the oil, or again failed to tell me it was broken...in either case, they are trash. The funny thing is that the only thing they did to try and rectify anything was to give a 10% discount on my next oil change smh. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. THEY'LL COST YOU MONEY AND ADD A HEADACHE ON TOP OF IT.

I don't know enough to know what my car needs, but I think it's just a safe way to go for these kinds of things. The staff is super helpful, and the service was great! Can't complain there! There's really not much else to say! Easy to get in, easy to get out, and I didn't feel like they were too pushy on trying to upsell me on things. They were just doin' their jobs, so kudos to them. Especially with the groupon, the value proposition is pretty high. I think the only way to do it cheaper is to do it yourself, which I neither have the time nor skills for!

In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that. The service was done quickly, but the overall experience left me feeling less satisfied than before. After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. He walked me through everything clearly and provided a very reasonable estimate for a full rebuild. Throughout the entire process, Ed was easy to communicate with, always professional, and genuinely helpful with his advice. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond after the repair. I was told this type damage might be covered under my comprehensive auto insurance. Ed then took the time to work directly with my insurance company--providing detailed documentation and expert insight. Because of his effort and experience, the claim was approved and the repair ended up being fully covered. That level of service is rare these days. I truly appreciate Ed's honesty, professionalism, and follow-through. He did exactly what he said he would do and then some. A Plus Tire Club's Owner Larry went out and checked out my tires and said I just need the right front tire for now. They don't sell used tires but he asked his employee went and checked for one and found one for my 2020 Toyota Sienna. He found a pretty good one with 50% tread left. I said how much? $40 with installation and no tax. 10 minutes later is was on my car, and all tires were cleaned with tire lotion. I gave them $40 plus $10 tip for their honesty, great help in finding me a spare in their used tire that day, and for their extreme efficiency in putting the tire on my car...( they call it NASCAR tire changing like they do in races. I can not believe how cool, amazing, honest, fun, funny, and great service they provided me ( and saved me$$$$$) by letting me know the other 3 tires were still good. Store #1988 I have had nothing but excellent experiences coming here for the past three years that I've lived in the area. The prices are excellent! Even better if you find a coupon. If you've been going there for over several years they help you keep track of scheduled maintenance in the future. A+ John, the service adviser/mechanic/manager is always such a pleasure to deal with. No BS anytime, always straight forward and honest. I ALWAYS make sure he is in prior to coming in for routine services. Overall experience - 5/5 Timeliness - 5/5 (Usually never for an hour for non-serious issues) Inside - 5/5 Nice waiting area, TV's to watch some sports, complimentary coffee. By far the worst experience ever!! Brought my SUV in for a routine tune up, left with a check engine light that came on a day later. I brought the car back the second time and they replaced and re-gapped new spark plugs and cleans the ports. Two days later the check engine light came on again proceeded by absolute sporadic idling of the engine. I brought it back today and was told that their "computer" recommended $1500 worth of repairs to "possibly" fix the problem. Again, no computer diagnostic code was given to me and the mechanic didn't even mention anything about what code pulled up. This was the first and last time I will ever take my car to Jiffy Lube. They have a horrible reputation for a reason!! CONSUMER ALERT: STAY FAR AWAY FROM JIFFY LUBE!! read more

May 24th. Two employees were at the Jiffy Lube on Main St. in Irvine at 4:35 pm with the doors still open and posted hours showing they close at 5 pm. Another customer was already waiting ahead of me, but both of us were completely ignored. No greeting, no explanation, nothing. When I finally asked what was going on, I was told they were closing early because it was slow. He said he was off the clock. I planned a 400-mile road trip around being able to get service during their advertised business hours, only to find the location effectively closed 30 min early. If you're going to close early, update your hours or at least communicate with customers instead of ignoring them. 1 star. Good job guys. read more

These guys seem a little confused with certain cars but this review is not regarding that. WHY upon check out, they pop up a screen stating they have checked a multitude of items when it is clearly not true. I have a Jaguar. the battery is tuck very securely in the truck behind a panel. Yet the technician tells me they check the water level of my battery. NOT true. They also said my air filter needs changing but they never looked at it. In this car, the air filter is located under the front engine compartment behind several panels. I was watching the whole time. NOT true. read more

Best oil change experience I've ever had. I typically hate getting my oil changed because they always try to up sell me and take advantage of the fact that I'm a girl and probably don't know what they're talking about. That was not the case here! They truly only did what I actually needed done! They even changed out my windshield wiper blades that have been sitting in my trunk for a month and gave me a discount on the entire service! I was in and out of there in 20 minutes! Unfortunately, I encountered an immature egocentric technician here whose customer service and demeanor were belittling and unprofessional. The absence of professionalism is a clear reflection of poor management and overall work culture that lacks pride in their responsibilities.. Zero Stars-- AVOID THIS PLACE This place has failed me---- TWICE. FIrst failure: I once arrived here on a regular saturday morning (not a holiday); their sign and their info online said they opened at 7am. NO ONE WAS THERE. Second failure: I arrived there about 40 minutes before they closed requesting a standard oil change; typically would take 20-30 minutes. Got denied and turned away--- with a smile.. I had my car serviced here today and the employees at this location were incredibly helpful and polite! They recognized a problem with my car battery and were very quick to try and help me resolve it. I took my car here 2 weeks ago to get an oil change done. Yesterday, I was driving down the highway and the oil filter started blowing oil all over the place. The filter literally had a hole in it. I know accidents happen but when your driving a fairly expensive car, it's definitely a concern. I'll never go back here! read more

Been coming here for the past few years! Get my oil change here and there was never any issues! They sometimes give me a $20 discount. They also honor the coupons online for their store. One small perk that I love is they give you a free car wash for all the services! Definitely recommend this place! read more

They gave me a few choices of tires, but non of their choices were inferior tires. I told them that their competitors offered me another brand for cheaper. They told me that they had never heard of the brand, and that it was a cheap brand...etc. They put on quality tires, ran some tests, and did a very exact alignment. I got a printout of the results. We are so happy with the quality of our new times and the work they did. Remember, it is the truth that matters when your life depends on your tires. Other places will attempt to sell you inferior brands that you might never have heard of. Please do your homework. Research tire brands.

Around 3 PM, I saw there were a couple of cars in the bay, and another in line. Within about 5 minutes, an employee came out to confirm my Groupon was for the right address, since there is one for another Valvoline down the road. It only took the technician around 25 minutes to help the previous customers. This is my second time at a Valvoline, and I decided to go with them, since they are quick and let you stay in your vehicle the whole time. My info was already in the system, and they offered $15 more to switch to full synthetic blend. According to the employee, synthetic blend would only cover up to 3-4k, and the full synthetic would be around 5k. $78.98 ended up being the new estimate. $3.99 disposal fee, $4.99 oil filter, $12.99 for the oil, and $74.99 for the oil change. The technician also confirmed the oil level at the end. The card reader had some issues with charging, but other than that, they were done in half an hour. There is a small office on the lefthand side and a restroom. I thought it was funny the tire guy next door came by to advertise repairs.

It seems like the quality of care varies from location to location, but this location nails it. For my first visit, my Honda's AC was blowing warm air. Their A/C assessment was cheaper than the lower end of quotes I got from nearby reputable indie shops by more than 1/3rd. A few days later, I had fluid, and all 4 pads & rotors for the brakes replaced. I appreciate their lifetime replacement guarantee on certain wear and tear items (brake pads in my case), which adds up. Having some knowledge of cars and sitting in their waiting room and being able to listen in on the service advisor Marco's conversations with other customers, this particular Midas doesn't seem to be trying to pull tricks or needlessly upselling customers. Moreover, their pricing for oil changes for blends and synthetics seems incredibly low compared to competitors. Will definitely return at regular maintenance intervals.
