I will always get my oil changes at Jiffy Lube La Cañada Flintridge from now on. Their customer service is top notch! A week ago, I was returning home from Little Tokyo on a hot day after meeting with our funeral planner for the second time about Mom's service. While I was driving, something told me to look at the oil change sticker in the top left corner of my windshield. I realized that I was 1,000 miles due for an oil change. At that very moment, the lights on my dash started flashing, and the red oil can light came on. My speed immediately slowed from 65 MPH to 5O MPH. I knew I had to get off the freeway and stop my car in order to not wreck my engine. Luckily, the traffic lights were in my favor, and I was able to get off the freeway and park safely. I called AAA, and they gave me three places they could tow my car to for an oil change. None of them could accommodate me. But luckily, one shop recommended that I call Jiffy Lube. I did, and it turned out that they were only two blocks up the street. Jacob answered the phone, and when he found out that I was only two blocks away, he asked his supervisor if an employee could just drive over and put enough oil in my engine so I could drive the short distance to the shop. His boss said yes, I was able to cancel the tow truck, and I was in a comfortable and cool lounge for only 15 minutes before heading home with a fixed car. We've taken our cars here for several years to get regular oil changes since it's convenient but a couple of incidents ended the relationship recently - - They cracked the oil pan in our car and wouldn't take responsibility - They gave us an inflated quote with duplicate labor charges - they wanted to charge a full labor fee for the oil pan and one for the gasket . As you can probably imagine, they go together and there's no separate labor fee. :( Can't be trusted with your car or your wallet. read more

I like that there's always some discount online you can add to your oil change (usually $10 / $15 off) and prices are reasonable compared to dealerships. Update - still no response from Jiffy Lube. It's now been 5 weeks since my disastrous oil change.

Cost me a $400 repair. They wrenched the oil assembly so hard it tore the metal. The mechanic said he'd never seen anything like it. It's impossible they wouldn't have seen the leak. The next day, it filled a tray under my car with oil in 24 hours. They just f***ed up and sent me on my way. Thanks a lot. Considering it's over $120 for a change now, might as well take it to a real mechanic. read more
