Never again will I take my business to this Jiffy Lube. I called to see what time they closed, the guy said 6:30, it was 5:50 at the time of my call. I asked him If I came right now if they would have to change my oil. He said yes. Great! Said I'd be there in 10 minutes max, I was right down the street. I pull up to the jiffy lube 5 minutes later. I wait 5 minutes then a man comes out to my car. I tell him I'm here to get my oil changed and that I had called. He looks at me and says " well right now it's about a 45 min wait to an hour" I said okay that's fine. Then he goes on to tell me that they close at 6:30 and he can't guarantee that they'll get to my car. I let him know that they didn't say that on the phone and he implied to me that the three cars there had just pulled up. I said oh really all of them pulled up in the last five minutes because that's how long ago I called? He said yeah. No apology. Nothing. If it wasn't for this place constantly sending out coupons I don't think anyone would go there. Shame shame. Customer service is everything!!! read more

I drove to another jiffy lube close by and was quoted over an hour wait. I drove 10 short minutes to this location and was blown away by the customer service and efficiency. Gabriel was kind, informative and had a great sense of humor which made my experience delightful. Thank you Gabriel and team for the fast oil change. Very aggressive bait and switch operation. I brought my 2017 Chrysler 300 in for an annual oil change. For various reasons, I asked for conventional oil. The tech, Anthony Cruz, stated that Chrysler requires synthetic oil in this vehicle, so if I wanted conventional oil I'd have to sign a waiver. I stated that I didn't think Chrysler did require synthetic oil, and that I'd verify this and return. It turned out that the User Guide, which I had with me, has this information, and only requires "SAE 5W-20, API Certified" oil--no mention of synthetic oil. When I asked the tech to bring me the oil so I could verify for myself that it had the API Certified seal, he brought the synthetic oil. When I pointed out that it was the conventional oil I wanted to verify, he stated that of course this wouldn't be API Certified. When I insisted that I be allowed to verify this for myself, he reluctant brought a container of conventional oil. It did, of course, have the "API Certified" seal. After the oil change was performed with conventional oil, I was asked to sign a waiver stating the following: "NO WARRANTY DUE TO INCORRECT OIL. MANUFACTURER CALLS FOR SYNTHETIC BASE OIL. CUSTOMER REQUESTED CONVENTIONAL OIL. JIFFY LUBE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INTERNAL OIL DAMAGE." It is a blatant lie that "manufacturer calls for synthetic base oil", so of course I refused to sign this. But nonetheless I am left with an invoice stating that I have no warranty, which I have addressed with the Jiffy Lube Legal Department. The work itself was fine; but the aggressive effort to up-sell me to a very expensive synthetic oil change--for a car that's on a two year lease and hardly drives 5,000 miles a year--which included blatant lies about what the manufacturer requires, is completely unacceptable. Addendum: After I posted my review, the Jiffy Lube District Manager (John) left contact information and urged me to contact him. After some discussion, John emailed me a revised invoice which removes the false claim that Chrysler requires synthetic oil in my vehicle. He also stated that he'd retrain staff at this location not to make false claims about manufacturer recommendations. He offered to comp the cost of the oil change I did receive; but since the work I eventually got was performed correctly, I saw no need for that. Under the circumstanced, I feel that he did all he could to resolve the situation created by the staff at this store. I still urge customers to be sure they understand what type of oil their manufacturer requires, and be prepared in case of an effort to up-sell to very expensive and mostly unnecessary synthetic oil. read more

Took my work vehicle for an oil change and I go over the bill and realized that they changed the air filter. Mind you I didn't authorized that. I questioned the tech and his response was that since I have a $200 limit on my card I have no say so. I have say so, ass face! Worst customer service ever, so you mean to tell that if I have a $3000 limit on my credit card, it gives you a right to charge whatever you want? I don't think so, won't ever go back to that dump. I went into Jiffy Lube because it was close to my house and specialized in oil changes. When I got there, they told me that I needed synthetic oil and gave me some story about how the warranty wouldn't be good anymore if they didn't use synthetic oil. I told the guy up front to just use regular oil but then the mechanic came up and insisted that synthetic was the only way to go. I reluctantly agreed, so my $40 oil change now became a $70 oil change. Called Ford, my car doesn't require synthetic oil. I hate being taken advantage of and if I was I am assuming other women going in there alone are as well. read more

Then when they were finally "done" there were parts sitting on the passenger seat. Apparently when they checked the cabin filter in an atempt to up-Sell me on parts and services they "forgot" to put everything back together. Probably not going to return to this location. read more

I won't be coming to this place again. EVER!!. It's all about UPSELL with JiffyLube. Everytime I come in, they always recommend I get something done because something's wrong. Not long ago, I came in for a simple oil change. As it turns out, I needed a complete engine flush. After some careful investigation, I've learned that ENGINE FLUSHES ARE NOT RECOMMENDED, ESPECIALLY BY CAR MANUFACTURES! In fact, they'll ruin your engine and VOID your warranty. A few years back a news agency did an undercover investigation on unnecessary engine flushes at Jiffylube. As you would imagine, they found that engine flushes are contraindicated. People who had their engine flushed experienced many costly issues thereafter. Jiffylube never took accountability- go figure. Sad to see this practice is still going on. As far as the staff here, its a hit or miss. The mechanic I had was stone cold. I greeted him and thanked him at the end, and he totally ignored me- like I didn't even exist. Way to go for customer service. To Jiffylube Management: clearly there's issues with your staff and service based on the numerous complaints I've read below. Instead of asking me to contact you and discuss my experiences, why don't you actually implement a change?? Your replies to other reviewer's complaints have all been the same, so clearly nothing has been done. Do yourself and business a favor by earning back the integrity of auto mechanics. read more

I've had 2 oil changes done at this location. Good service and the wait was about 15-20min. Only issue I had was with the last oil change--the oil change went well but someone forgot to tell the car it had an oil change, so my 'maintenance needed' light came back on and would not go off. A quick fix and all was well again. I will return to this location for my next oil change. read more

I have oil change anxiety. I have no knowledge of how my car works and I have no desire to learn. In the past, oil change/car repair places have been able to smell the stench of ignorance all over me and have taken advantage. Because of this, I usually let 7,000-10,000 miles go between oil changes. Today I HAD to get one because the light finally came on in my car. I went on Jiffy Lube's website, printed out a coupon for $15 off and went in, expecting them to tell me that my tires were too loud and that I should upgrade (that actually happened somewhere else). They set me up, asked me what I wanted, showed me my options and never put one ounce of pressure on me to add on stuff I didn't need. It turned out that one of my filters was damaged (I know it's true because I saw it). The mechanic told me straight up that it was optional and told me the price up front...it was super cheap. With my coupon and adding on the filter change, it was cheaper that most places that would just change the oil. Jiffy Lube tops off fluids, checks your tire pressure and a bunch of other crap that I am sure is important. They also vacuum out your car. I will return, this time at the recommended mileage. read more

I gave it one star, if I could I would give it zero stars. I called first to see if I could get an oil change with bringing my oil. Jason who I spoke to on the phone said yes and they would honor the $24.99 deal. So I drove down there, They were prepping my car do go get done, then the Manager, Michael stated that I would have to pay the full price, even though I had the online 24.99 deal and it states on the window too the same deal. He said I would have to pay 34.00 dollars. Because they do not honor other product. But yet they would do it for still.......Did not make sense. I think they need to communicate instead of making a unhappy customer who drove out there to get the job done!!! If it was a policy, then I should of been told on the phone, not when I got there........It was about lack of communication with your staff. And not honoring a online promotion. read more

This experience was a complete 180 from my last visit. After my last horrible experience I received a certificate in the mail for a free oil change (this was back in Sept 2015) I don't need the oil change until now and the certificate had just expired on March 31, 2016. I went in hopeful that they would honor it (and they did) since it would have been to soon for me to redeem it. The new general manager Anthony was exceptional. He apologized for my past experience and reassured me that this experience would be better. It took all of 20 minutes to get everything complete. Laura was also very helpful in explaining the other minor charges that I would need to pay due to my filters needing to be replaced. I will be returning and I think everyone that had a bad experiences before should returen to since they are now under new and improved management. They tried all types of upsells including more expensive oil, other services, wipers, battery, air cleaner, etc. They told me that my battery needed replacement. I called out AAA an hour later who had sold me the battery since it was under warranty and they said the battery tested fine. They claim that these guys were not being truthful to sell the battery. It bothers me that they advertise the oil change at a price and then charge an extra can of oil each time at $5.99 a can. Also, I was a quart low on antifreeze and they charged me $3.99 for that also. Be wary of the upsells. read more

They are always fast - 15 minutes in and out; consistently polite, and they don't pressure me about purchasing extra items, although they do make suggestions. The only drawback is that the waiting room is a little gross but I'm out of there so fast, it doesn't really matter. read more

The absolute worst experience. Took my car in and spent $400 in maintenance. They could not start my car after they serviced it. They sent me home and they had it towed to a real mechanic to diagnose. I had to rent a car for 4 days which they were going to reimburse me. My fuel pump failed and they said it was my problem. They refused to reimburse me and I was stuck paying $600 for a new pump and $75 for a new battery that they drained trying to start my car numerous times. You've been warned, I am a business owner and I will never leave my customers hanging the way they did. WORST COMPANY OUT THERE BY FAR. read more

On 7/14/14 at a seattle jiffy lube i had all 3 belts changed on my Honda crv before my road trip from seattle to la mesa, ca. during the trip I began to hear noises coming from the engine. I pulled over and found that the middle belt was loose. while in la mesa I called a local jiffy lube and chris answered the phone. I explained the problem and chris said bring it in and we'll fix it, we don't want you driving to Utah then seattle without it fixed. he fixed it quickly and I was on my way. I was able to drive home with no problem at no charge. he turned a negative into a positive. read more

UPDATE! Well, I had a couple of awesome visits to this Jiffy Lube, but I should have known that all good things must come to an end. The reason I loved them was largely because they didn't try to sell me a bunch of junk that I didn't need. That has definitely changed... EVERY time I go in now, they have a new "gimmick." They tried to tell me that my one year old battery was testing "just okay," and that I should replace it because that meant it was probably going to die soon. Mind you, they never SHOW you these "tests," they just TELL you. They then went into the spiel of, "we happen to sell batteries here for only 3 million dollars, if you'd like to replace that today." Um, no thanks. IMMEDIATELY after I declined the world's most expensive battery, I heard them give the EXACT SAME SPIEL to the lady that had come in after me. It was clear to me that they were just trying to sell batteries that day, because they were pushing them on people HARD. On my next visit, it was a few weeks into the super hot summer weather here, and they decided to try to sell me an air conditioning service to "keep my air conditioner running great, by cleaning out the buildup." When I didn't respond immediately, she said, "we recommend this service every 3 years to keep your air conditioner running." Interesting, considering the fact that I have been taking my car to Jiffy Lube for 12 years, and they have NEVER EVER EVER tried to sell me this service before. Coincidence that this is the service they are trying to sell me at the beginning of summer? I think not. Also, she said to me, "your battery is still testing great, though." Oh, reeeeaaaaallllllyyyy???? My battery that you told me was about to die the last time is STILL testing great? I smell a scam. DO NOT GO HERE. I regret ever giving them a positive review. First time yelper here. and I don't know what all these other people are talking about but I had such a great experience here that I had to create a yelp account! I was greeted promptly by a short fellow named Anthony. Anthony asked how I was doing and welcomed me to jiffylube. I told him I wanted an oil change and he said "we'd be happy to take care of that." he told me to step over to their advisor Jason. Jason also greeted me, asking how my day was going. they seem like rather warm people at this location. He pointed my attention to the computer asking me what kind of oil I would like to use. I had no idea so I asked him what he recommended. Now mind you my car is pretty old and has about 125k miles on there. He said "based on your mileage, the high mileage oil would be the best." Jason had me interested and gave me all of the pros of the oil. I inquired about the price and he told me 67.99. I was taken aback a little bit and I believe he noticed so kindly offered 10 dollars of. I accepted and they began the work on my vehicle. I believe I was there for maybe 15-20 mins max. Extremely pleased with the speed of service. They were accommodating; opening doors for me, offering coffee, and pointing out that they had a restroom if needed, and that they had magazines and tv if I would like to use it. I preferred to watch so I stepped outside and it was like ALL HANDS ON DECK. I had one person vacuuming my floors, another washing the windows, one checking my tires, one working under the hood, one under my car, and they all seemed in tune because they were calling things out to each other in a very professional manner. After about maybe 10 mins or less I was approached by a nice young fellow named Austin. He said "Kyle(I thought it was really cool that we hadn't talked before that point and he called me by name BIG POINTS) I just want to go over the report on conditions of your car." Austin then proceeded to show me my air filters, let me know what fluids were added to and which were full, filled me in on the tire pressure on my car(the light had been on when I went in but turned off shortly after I left), and concluded with services that were recommended by the manufacturer at certain mileages on my car. After I kindly declined they walked me back to the lounge and opened the door AGAIN for me. Austin shortly called me up to the counter after that to be "cashed out" as they call it lol. the asked me what I usually go in between oil changes and I told them 3,000 they then informed me that with the high mileage oil you can go up to 5k based on my driving habits. I told them I would stick with my usual 3k. they accepted that fact, printed the sticker, placed it in my windshield, opened the door for me yet again as I left, and that was it. I will definitely come back here. Great experience, there was just one issue and its not even big at all there was just a slight smudge on the window from them washing but hey my windows were pretty caked up with dirt.
