DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE to this Jiffy Lube, they are liars and do not perform the work they say they do. Back in August, I went in for an oil change, and the mechanic said I needed to change my brake fluid because it was dirty, which was a $129.00 service, so I had it done. Fast forward to April 2025, I went into the same Jiffy Lube in Lakewood for an oil change, and they told me I needed to change my brake fluid, and I declined because I had it done in August. When I called them out on it, they denied it, but I have the proof in the receipts (see attached photos). After all this, I took my truck to a Certified Honda Mechanic and asked if they would check my brake fluid to see if it was dirty, and sure enough, it was. I will ever go to a Jiffy Lube. read more

Upsells were typical the main concern was one of the recs was cabin filter which is pretty standard for any service location but grease marks left on glovebox and lid didn't align when they put it back. 1 Star Absolutely Do Not Recommend - Unprofessional and Dishonest I brought my car in to Jiffy Lube Lakewood, CA for brake service, dropping it off at 9:00 AM, which was the scheduled time. I was told it would be done by noon. That was a lie. They didn't finish until 9:00 PM, a full 12 hours later--one hour after the store had already closed at 8:00 PM. I was not kept informed during the day, and I had to keep calling for updates. It turns out they broke a part off my car during service, then had to order a new one and have someone go pick it up--without ever giving me a heads-up. I found out later, when I asked what the delay was. That level of disorganization is unacceptable. Worse, they took my tire lock key, and I had to go back the next day just to get it. If I hadn't followed up, I honestly don't think I would've gotten it back. They even promised me a discounted rate because of all the issues, but then overcharged me anyway. I had to dispute the price at checkout, and it was clear no one there was taking responsibility. Bottom line: This place is completely unprofessional, careless with your time and property, and dishonest when it comes to pricing. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. read more

So after going in with my sister for an oil change they recommended an air filler and cabin filter so she agreed then they come back with a leak in the valve cover. We were out of time but the told me that they had the part in stock and they open at eight am so knowing my sister that meant I get to wake up early on a Sunday. I get there and they say oh no we didn't say we have the part but we can get it I'm so can I. Then they tell me a half hour on getting the part and an hour on labor. Get the part here and I'm out under an hour as it should not take any technician an hour for that job. Now we are an hour in and the guy comes out and tells me the parts place sent the wrong part. so another hour later the part shows up but by now everyone is swamped. So after sitting there from five after eight and getting home a three I was a little bit tired. So for an oil change here get ready for all the up sales just make sure to make sure you ask if the have the part although they will tell you they do and then make you wait well they order it. I used to go to Jiffy for my oil changes and had good experiences in the past. Recently, my car started stuttering when starting the engine, so I took it to Jiffy since I was also overdue for an oil change. They diagnosed the problem as faulty spark plugs and recommended a spark plug replacement and a radiator flush, which I agreed to out of concern for my car's performance. After waiting nearly 6 hours on a Saturday, I noticed the stuttering persisted and even worsened. A few days later, I returned to Jiffy, and they suggested it might be a belt issue. They checked it for free, but that wasn't the problem. My car continued to struggle, so I went ahead and contacted AAA when I got home. It turned out the battery was the issue. After replacing it, the car started smoothly without any hesitation. I shared my experience with the AAA technician, who was surprised by how much I paid for the spark plugs and services that didn't address the actual problem. I feel Jiffy should have considered the battery issue from the start to see if that was the problem. As a woman taking my car in, I feel that I was somewhat taken advantage of. Then they asked her oh you need this done then you need this done three different things but yet never told her the price of these items And at the end of the service the total came out to almost $300. She was a woman they took advantage of. She assumed because they never told her the price that it was included and the $178 bill. I go in and say I need a tune up. Jorge decided to question me and ask why I think I need one/what does a tune up consistent of for me. I said change my spark plugs bare minimum. He then back tracks and tells me people say they need tune up but really mean oil change. The way he questioned me was unnecessary. Look under the hood and then let me know otherwise. Told him I needed oil change as well because service B is due. He said he had to look something up. What? What service b is for my car? Later I tell him I'll handle the air filter replacement myself. He wants to know if I'm sure I can do it and if I want him to show me how. Then when I'm leaving, my driver's door handle is now dirty, my driver's side window is still rolled down, and they've decided to mark me as "decline" for vacuum and exterior window wash services. When did I decline? No mention of that when I'm getting my car back. Only one other car being serviced at the same time as mine, yet that car leaves looking as though it got a full car wash with water dripping off it still. Recently that got a new crew of staff and these guys are A+ plus techs. They get the job done pretty quickly but also are very thorough with looking through that car also very honest. I had just bought a used car and they made sure everything was good and told me. That it's a pretty good condition without trying up sale me on anything other than an issue I knew that car had. If you want honest quick service I would swing by this Jiffy lube in particular. my sister took her BMW to have the brake fluid flushed and replaced. What should have been a simple "just do it job" was told without inspection that she needed new rotors. Now she had been to BMW a week prior for a recall and they did an inspection and everything was good just needed brake fluid flushed. He then took his phone and put it near the tire and said yeah you need rotors. I told him "No" just the brake fluid as requested. I told him BMW service center checked the vehicle and all is good just need the service requested. He acted like she was a dumb female when her dad was a mechanic for many years and now her son is a mechanic in the military and could have done it if he was here so we have knowledge of our cars and repairs needed. Well after all that she left and the service was not performed. Just because we are females doesn't mean the wool can pulled over our eyes and we are stupid. Will never go here again after this. Worst oil change experience , after leaving I notice my undercarriage cover dragging bc it was making noise. So I looked under my car and they removed my undercarriage cover screws and replaced it with zip ties , I went back and the manager George said it came in like that , when I know for a fact it didn't bc I just recent changed the screws. I'm making this review on behalf of my girlfriend who took her car into them for a basic oil change! Unfortunately they up sold her to a synthetic oil which was not necessary for her 2016 optima Kia! $130 oil change? Then they up sold her to the max with a cabin air filter for $50.99. Now folks if I can buy an air filter from AutoZone for $13.99 I assure you they can buy one cheaper being a wholesale account I'm guessing $8? Charging her $50.99 for an in cabin air filter is highway robbery and they should be reported to the bureau of automotive repair! $180 oil change and cabin air filter. I called them and I asked them to come clean on this situation into at least credit her a minimum of $30 off this crazy $180 bill but they neglected to call me back! I'll be contacting the bar tomorrow. I always ask when they're bringing me some air filter supposedly from my car to go back and show me in my car that it came out of my car. Because a lot of times these unscrupulous service repair places will bring in a really dirty cabin or air filter that they have in the back that's been coming out of another person's car and they claim it to be yours. Worst oil change experience that cost me 2K. Took my Honda to get an oil change, paid and went home as regular. Next couple days my husband notices that our car is leaking oil which never happened before we got our oil change. Took our car to Honda and they advised whoever did the oil change cracked something on the car and that needs to be replaced. Which cost us $2000 to fix, an $100 oil change to paying thousands for their mess up. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! It's not trustworthy or safe. Came in around noon on a Friday with several cars ahead of me and my service (oil/filter change) was done in just about 30 minutes. They overcharge for some services, you can get them at a local repair for cheaper if you "have a guy." But all in all I respect their work and service and if I didn't have a trusted mechanic, I'd trust this location to take care of everything I need. read more

Man, where to start. I have an old 04 Grand Cherokee. Initially, they over torqued my bolt in my oil pan and it was hard to take off for the next oil change since it just spun in place. I took it back to them and Gabriel was all over it. They replaced my oil pan with a new gasket and of course added the new oil change all free of charge on the same day I called in about it. They were very attentive and genuine. I would highly recommend them. Jump to an oil change at the local dealer, they asked if I had used an oversized bolt on my pan. I said no, and they had no record of that on my last oil change. The guys working at this location we're very friendly. And the service was very fast so those are the only two things that were good about the visit. I asked how much for an oil change and he told me 54.99 for basic 89.99 for high mileage signature service and then some other service, I chose the 89.99 service. When I got the bill they didn't tell me that they charge another $30 on top of that for their labor. Also, on the receipt I saw that they said they did a bunch of things but they didn't, like they put washed exterior windows. They didn't touch them. Needed to get my brake rotors replaced, I arrived with the parts already in hand at about 11:30. They didn't end up even touching my car until almost 2:30, which wouldn't have bothered me as much if there hadn't been 5-7 people that came in and out in front of me while I was waiting and got their work done no problem. I was also not told the wait time would be so long, otherwise I would have just left. I specifically came early because I needed to go to work, and ended up having to call out because I was still there at 4:30 and had no other way of getting to work. If I'd known the wait time would be so long, I wouldn't have bothered, but that was not communicated with me at all. I ended up missing a really important job in which people were relying on me and will not be coming back here. The guys that work here are very nice as people, but I can't risk losing an entire day and a day of work for something I was told should be 1-2 hours.
