My mother and I decided to take my car in for an oil change and were quickly greeted by an employee named Brady. He was extremely nice, professional, and respectful. He walked us through the different things we could purchase while also explaining each option in a calm manner. We really appreciate that he wasn't super pushy in trying to sell the other things, it made the experience more chill. Another employee by the name of Juan stood out to us too. He helped do the oil change as well as a couple other things with my car. We noticed how thorough he was in re-checking everything that needed to be done AND he even fixed an entirely seperate issue with my seat belt in a matter of seconds! Couldn't be happier! Friendly staff, but the experience didn't match the "instant" promise. I waited about 35 minutes before my car was even taken in, and the oil change itself took another 40 minutes--75 minutes total. They advertise 15-minute service, so this was pretty disappointing. What made it more frustrating was seeing cars that arrived after me get serviced and leave before I did. It didn't feel like a first-come, first-served system. Nice people, but the long and disorganized wait makes me hesitant to return. read more

I have been very blessed to go 37 years without having to do my own oil change. With that said, I was dreading getting one today. Then comes Nayeli, this really young adult tech who walked me through the process so patiently and thoroughly. I remember just thinking how awesome it is that she not only is so young and knowledgeable, but her customer service skills are so wholesome. It was until the end of the service that I realized she is still in training, not because of her skills, but because of the other techs checking in on her. I've been coming here for years and my list visit seriously was the worst experience ever. I got there before opening and was the 2nd car. Throughout the whole time while I was there waiting, around 15 minutes, the employee kept suggesting and explaining different upgrades. I of course said no because I'm just here for an oil change and had work soon, but it just kept going and going. Then everything was all out of order. He forgot to read my battery so the manager Oscar 25 minutes later came and did it, then they said my battery was reading low because of the fact that he forgot to tell me to turn off my headlights so my car might have to be jump started. Then of course at the end the oil change was rushed, I wasn't told to reset it or anything just to get out the door and then my car doesn't start. They even looked at the battery and was like oh actually we don't work on this kind of battery or have one here to replace it, so it seemed very purposeful that my working battery just died all of a sudden, they were looking to add on something extra. They jump started my car and now I had to figure out a way to get to work and afford a new battery since I am a college student and can't just afford a $300 battery. What's worse is that the manager Oscar gives me a call and says oh we can't refund you just because we did the oil change correctly and the battery is on you. I sat there for so long, being badgered into buying things, you guys caused my battery to die, and you can't refund me back my money? The customer service was terrible as well as management and the actual service. Skip the trouble and go somewhere that they are more experienced and don't pressure you into extras the whole time. read more

Wow, very disappointed. I've always brought all my vehicles here for full synthetic oil changes and tire rotations, and I've even gotten other recommended services done in the past. I know this shop is on the pricier side compared to other service centers, but I've stuck with them because it's been convenient and reliable until today. This morning, my tire pressure light came on while I was driving to work, so I stopped by to get some air in my tires. It was the closest place, so I figured it'd be a quick stop. To my surprise, one of the service lady who checks you in told me they now charge $9.99 just to add air called it a "quick check" repeatedly. I was honestly shocked. There were plenty of employees standing around and not a single car being serviced or waiting for an oil change when I arrived either. She didn't even offer me to option to be able to add air myself, even as I continued to display fear of having the tire pressure light on and mentioning I was down 7+ psi all around. Where have we come to these days where adding air can be a cost when you've spent so much money at this go to place. And don't believe the "it's a cost adding air" as I drove a bit further down Carson St. and stopped at Allen Tire, where they gladly added air to my tires for free. Really disappointing service from what used to be my go-to oil change spot. I won't be returning here or giving them any more of my business. Had a great experience yesterday, despite choosing the lunch rush window to get my oil + headlight changed out. These places are always pretty efficient, but this location in particular handled a the line of us professionally and in the blazing heat. I like their approach to upselling services-it's not pushy ever. They just tell you what they recommend and you choose what you want done/want to prioritize. They were really nice and very quick. I chose to come on my lunch hour and I didn't have to wait at all. There were no cars today and I was able to pull right in. They changed my oil and addressed all my concerns right away. The manager also came out to say hello and helped add air to my tires. Everyone was super friendly. I went for an oil change yesterday and let the guy know I'm driving to Vegas in a few days. I wanted to see where my vitals were at, just to be safe. He couldn't tell me but instead kept trying to sell his $200+ radiator flush. I got home and decided to pop the hood to check myself and found coolant sprayed everywhere. Not sure when or where but now I'm stuck trying to figure out if it's a leak or if I need a new radiator. They could have at least mentioned, hey you got coolant sprayed everywhere through out your engine bay. Last time I trust this spot. read more

I had taken my car 2 weeks ago, upon leaving things were fine, the next day after my car sat the whole night it started making a funny noise but paid no attention to it. Until this week it started taking longer to turn on, so I took it to a mechanic. Come to find out, "whoever did my oil," also added coolant. Slowest valvoline ever... took almost 40 minutes. Workes are nice but super slow...i wouldn't come back if im in a rush.

The staff was super nice here. I was the last vehicle to pull in and it took about an hour to get through the long line but the staff was just as smiley and friendly to me as I pulled up for my turn, even after working on numerous cars before me. They also thanked me for my patience and offered me a 20% off coupon for my wait. They stripped the transmission fluid plug, then lied, saying it needed a specialty tool they didn't have. I was told I would have to travel far because local locations wouldn't have the special tool needed. I asked for a picture of the head to see what specialty tool was needed. I then found they stripped the head and lied, thinking I didn't know anything about standard parts and fittings. They're good if they don't break your stuff. When they do break it, they lie about it to get you off the lot. The manager made it right the next day, though, after I would not leave the lot until I got their error in writing. read more

I have been going here for many years. The last two times took almost 2 hours to get a basic oil change. No extras just oil change. Today was no exception to the ridiculous wait. 1:45 just to get oil changed at a place that advertises as being quick and convenient. I thought that is why you pay more at Valvoline, because it's supposed to be quick and convenient. Terrible service!! I would strongly recommend you go somewhere else so you don't waste your time thinking you will get a quick oil change. I will definitely not be going back again. The staff is awesome and friendly, and they take the time to explain things to you if you don't understand them. As a woman, this is super important to me. During my last oil change, the plate wasn't screwed back on correctly so as I was driving home I heard this loud scraping noise. I immediately called Valvoline and the manager drove out to my house to check my car out. I thought the service was amazing and he did not need to take time out of his day to do this! The manager offered me a free oil change for the next time I returned. I went back today for my free visit and they did not have the voucher on file. They called over a manager ( I believe his name was Alan) and I was given the best service. He took his time to care for my concerns and made sure I did not have to pay for the oil change like I was previously promised. It's very rare to see people go above and beyond for customers like this! I will continuing coming to this location even if it's a far drive from my house. read more
