Jiffy Lube is known for ONE THING...OIL CHANGES! How can they screw that up by putting TOO MUCH IN!!!! Then they don't back up the quality of their service after they completely screw up and now I am out approximately $700!!! I took my car in to this Jiffy Lube for a quick oil change. 5 days later on Mother's Day my car completely shut down on the way to dinner. Thankfully we were right near a gas station with a tow company attached. We had it set up to tow to the Ford dealer 10 mins away the next morning. After the Ford technician examined my vehicle he concluded that the oil was over the fill line and that was what caused the problem. I called Jiffy Lube to inform them of what had happened and that they need to reimburse me for the charges. They claimed that I should have brought it back to them as soon as there was a problem with the car. 1. How was I supposed to know that the reason that engine completely stopped working was due to the oil change 5 days earlier? 2. Why would I take my car to Jiffy Lube for engine work anyway? 3. Was I supposed to ask Ford to put the oil back in the car and then have it towed to Jiffy Lube next? I have reported them to the BBB and they never responded to that complaint. Next, I will be sending a demand letter and threatening taking them to small claims court. read more

i had thought the cabin filter i was shown could not be mine, as it was so dirty it looked like a charcoal infused filter and not the one i put in. so i passed on the replacement, but boy was i wrong. when i got home i pulled it. it was my filter and they were correct in saying i needed a new one. so these guys were above board and i was the one who was mistaken. i will definitely be back fro their great service. read more

I've been coming to this location for 4 years and have always had a great experience with my two vehicles. The employees are honest, and have always notified me when something didn't need to be done, even after the car dealership told me work should be done on my two year old vehicle. Pretty sure they do a better job vacuuming out my car and wiping down the exterior windows than the actual dealership does. My only complaint is that they seem to either over inflate my tires, or completely forget to check them. Other than that, quick and friendly service worth driving out of my way for. read more

Usually I would say the ability to get an oil change in under 20 minutes with no wait is a godsend... but the cost of a synthetic oil change here is more than my dealership charges, and they've always got some excuse about why you can't use one of their coupons. Also, make sure you tell them you want to check under the hood before leaving, they're notorious for not topping off fluids or doing the work they say they've done and charged you for! With all the reputable dealerships and great service centers in the area, steer clear. read more

Best service for Jiffy Lube so far. This is my second time in this location and it's 5 miles farther than the other 2 that I usually go. Customer service here is great. They explain everything just like others and also show you what they are going to work on. They are military friendly and have military discount. I was there again last week and had to take the time to once again review them for their excellent service. They're fast, there are no concerns about Covid because you stay in your car, and they check the air in your tires, etc., as well as changing the oil. Very honest, too because I've gone in the past and they actually told me I didn't need an oil change at that time. I highly recommend them - they're reliable, quick, and won't rip you off. Not a busy shop, went in for a oil change, used the 10$ off coupon. While paying I asked why they didn't top off all the fluids like my windshield wiper fluid, the owner said they did. Really? I was in the car watching. I checked when I got home, nope, he lied. I read the Service checklist and there were other things they didn't do. I won't go back. read more

This place is okay. I thought it was kind of funny when when I pulled up they asked: "Would you like signature service today?". Me: "Uh, no...I just want an oil change. What's signature service?" Them: "That's an oil change". Someone's brilliant marketing idea...wow. Anyway, decently fast service, but not cheap if you need synthetic oil...Ouch! I had a terrible experience with this jiffy lube, I called corporate, they did nothing, the owner did nothing, they left medical gauze in my air filter and almost damaged my car permanently, they did not fill any of the fluids as they stated, I would NEVER GO BACK THERE EVER, The worker in charge was shady, rude and unprofessional. read more

I've brought my cars here occasionally for the past 8 years or so. They've never wronged me like some of the other oil change places. We also started bringing our work vehicles here since it's much faster than our regular mechanic. My only issue with this place is coupons. I've been denied coupon usage a couple times. Today, I brought a coupon from an email that specifically listed their address, but he said "that coupon isn't for this corporation". I'm looking right at the email now. Save $17 on a jiffy lube oil change. 1470 a butterfield road mundelein. Yup that's them! It's good thing I brought the other coupon with me for $9.25 off. Overall, the service is good, but need to work on the coupon issue. *update* We bring our work vehicles here every oil change, and one of our guys forgot the coupon, but the guy gave us the discount anyway. That was really cool of him and it more than makes up for the coupon issue I had. So I upped it to 4 stars. *update* I noticed my car was leaking oil and had it inspected. The oil pan lug wasn't tight and I've been slowly leaking oil. (If it leaked since the last change here, it's been a month) I understand nobody is perfect and MAYBE it rattled loose, but I doubt it. Excellent service! I normally frequent another Jiffy Lube location that is currently closed for Covid. I was delighted to discover this location. It's clean and well kept inside and out. You can tell there is pride of ownership/management. Israel was excellent and offered great customer service. Covid procedures were slick and easy (I stayed in the car). I have been getting my oil changed here for years. Last time I went in before taking a road trip. Once I had arrived at my destination I opened the hood and saw all my fluid were almost empty and when I checked my oil it was filthy. I was completely ripped off. Never again. read more

Went to this location because I found a coupon for 8 dollars off online. The place was clean and organized. I didn't have any wait they took my car right in. The manager came outside and greeted us, held the door open and invited us to coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to see them not only change my oil, but check all tire pressures, clean all the windows including side mirrors, and even vacuum out the interior!! I was turned away after getting my car checked. Didn't really get told why, but was told they couldn't do an oil change. I took it to the dealership later that day and they did an oil change no problem so not to sure what the issue here was. Definitely will never be coming here ever again.
