I stopped in to Jiffy Lube on Route 1 in Norwood yesterday for a quick oil change. I chose Jiffy Lube because I get a partner discount through Uber and wanted to be in and out quickly on my way to Boston. When the technician, Fred, handed me the tablet to fill out my information, I looked at the bill and there were several services I didn't ask for in the total amount of nearly $350, including a coolant flush, which the manufacturer recommends every 150,000 mi. This engine was replaced in October and only has 30,000 miles on it, so I know I don't need a coolant flush. Even if I did, the service was already on the bill before the tech even mentioned it to me. When I called this out, he tried to tell me that he was about to ask me about it. I countered by asking why a service was already on the bill and authorized before he did so. He had no answer. Looks like they are trying to jack up the bill and charge unsuspecting customers for services that they may not need. I'm really unhappy about this and certainly will not be returning to this location. read more

I don't know why Yelp says that I'm in CA, but... Jiffy Lube wanted to know the store, my invoice number, and date and time of service. It doesn't matter because even if I got free oil changes for life, I would NEVER go back. What happens when they decide to not fill the oil? When they just leave the old filter on. I went there for a second visit to have them fix their bad work. Surprisingly, it was a much worse experience than I've ever thought!! to my car!! After 6 hours of waiting and phone calls and endless contradiction talks, they simply denied the mistakes that they have admitted at first. And now I have to wait with no car for at least 10 days while I'm getting my car fixed at my own cost!! Even the complaint they said will be filed, they called me later to ask for a picture of the car that they "forgot" to take!!! Please never use jiffy lube for your car's sake, for your financial sake, for the sake of your time and for your health sake. Driving the car after doing "regular" service at jiffy lube is a huge risk for safety concerns especially if you have kids. Please just change your oil anywhere else. I don't like for anyone to pass through what I'm suffering with right now. For anyone who suffered with jiffy lube, my next steps are: 1. I'm working with my lawyer to sue jiffy lube. I brought my 2007 Honda odyssey in for a synthetic oil change and I was greeted by the Jiffy Lube manager who was very helpful and informative and got the job done for me quickly as I was on a break from work. He also pointed out that my windshield wipers were at the end of their life and offered me new quality wipers at a slight discount to make it more palatable. I need a referral to a windshield replacement company and he was very generous and told me about a company right down the street who are able to fit me in and get everything I need to done from my vehicle that day resolved all within two hours. read more

Went for an oil change in late July, after driving to and from NH. Everything worked great. Drove out, and ten minutes into the drive, about a quarter mile from my house, black smoke started coming out of the back, and I started hearing a grinding noise coming from the engine, getting louder. When I looked under the hood there was oil spattered EVERYWHERE. I had the car towed to my mechanic, who informed that the Jiffy Lube tech had installed the oil filter incorrectly! There was NO oil left in the car, and I was probably a minute away from blowing out a $10,000 turbo engine. After new oil and filter the car was OK, but the AC compressor was seized; it had worked perfectly the day I drove it in to Jiffy Lube. District manager refused to reimburse me for the cost to repair ($1,100), only offered a free oil change (are you kidding me??) and now I'm considering asking one of my staff attorneys to look into it. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR, they will not take responsibility for their employee's incompetence and damage. read more

Went on Monday for oil change and I DON'T KNOW if they changed anything ! under 3 minutes I was done.. usually takes about 10 minutes for oil change.. so I asked the cashier Donte s. What happened you guys changed the oil, his reply was yes .. I told him I didn't see them use the oil pump machine.. Donte told me it's broken and I was like all 3 oil pumps broken no response.. got home that day and next day my drive way was full oil leaks.. ok... went back today told him about leaks and the manager Chris told me I hit something I told him no way.. I asked Chris was it damaged the other day and he said we don't go under the car to do oil change.. and I told him they change the oil from downstairs and kept yelling at me that we change oil on top and then told me no more service for you get out.. so something is very fishy with this oil pan cover cause mine was very dirty about a month and the one on my car looks very clean so I think they swaped it with another cover.. Just got an oil change at jiffy lube in Norwood, MA. I was dealing with a gentleman name Chris. I called before I went and from the moment we talked to the end of the service he was super professional and attentive to not just me but the other customers in the building. This business hasn't been far from work so I went many times, and put up with occasional rude customer service because of price. However now the local places from home are charging similar prices and I don't get yelled at. I have anxiety issues so I would rather not drive my car over an open section. Twice I got yelled at to steer my car different directions as if I was an idiot. I don't know if it was the same guy, but both instances were at least 6 months apart. Jiffy Lube asks you to review your experience each time you go. Those 2 times, plus another bad experience I requested someone to follow up but they never did. What's the point of asking for a review if no one apologizes or follows up? read more

Jiffy Lube. What do you immediately think of when we talk about a quick lube job? Now get your mind out of the gutter and focus! Just that, a quick lube job. You can bring in your car for an oil change under 20, 30mins if a line. Not bad and you can even grab a quick lunch. I like this particular Jiffy Lube for the following reason: - location - distance off the freeway I-95 - close to home and work - often out in less than 30mins The price is right considering it's an oil change. They try to sell you the synthetic which is good for 6-8,000 miles and 6 months. But they still ask you to come back within 3k/3mths. I'm sure this Jiffy Lube is the same as the others, but I give them a 4 b/c they haven't given me a reason not to. They are better than average and I really dislike dealers b/c they take much too long and always try to sell you other services thru non-covered "warranty" items. ~ read more

This is an awesome place to get your oil changed. I think others are catching on, because now they're always busy. It's a simple process: drive up, tell them you want an oil change, and then wait in the lobby. The lobby is average; has a TV, magazines, and a Wi Fi password that doesn't work. While I'm waiting, they looked up my car information, and then they called me into the shop. They made all of Jiffy Lube's recommendations, but I stood firm in just wanting an oil change. They weren't pushy and were friendly. All in all, they won't rip you off and do an oil change pretty quick. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this location in particular. Professional, thorough, friendly, and polite. I was met by Aidan and I told him I needed an oil change. He explained the process to me and led me to the waiting room where he opened the door. The oil change was done as well as the items on the service checklist. He told me they did not have my air filter in stock, but he would be happy to check it. He showed it to me and it clearly needed replacement. I wanted to take care of it the same day and Aidan told me they would be happy to install the air filter if I could buy one and bring it back. I went to a nearby auto parts store which had the air filter in stock and I brought it back. Aidan served me right away and in a couple of minutes the air filter was installed and I was on my way. I've been going to various Jiffy Lube's for years, but this one was by far the best one I've ever been to. I was greeted with a smile from all the guys in the shop. They opened my door for me, and asked me what I would like done today. When I explained that my oil would be pretty low, they understood and didn't give me any guff about it. When they brought out my air filter and offered me a new one, I declined and that was that. They didn't try to sell me anything unnecessary, and got my car done in about 10 minutes.
