Went to get an oil change knowing my tires were bald (going to change them out the next day) and my front light not working. They changed the oil and the according to the inspection my tires and lights were "good". Granted I believe the tire check was only for pressure but wasn't given a heads up, and I know for sure my front light doesn't work. Came in for oil change and told service rep that I smelled coolant and to please check it out. Paid the premium price of $35 to have them add what is needed. Rep explained there was a hairline crack near top of radiator and when he showed me I noticed that cap was loose like they had just inspected it. So paid the bill and off I went to the house and when I got there water was all over engine and hood and radiator cap was nCo where to be found. Very unprofessional place. They took no responsibility when I called on this and said pressure was to blame and they did not touch cap. Jiffy Lube just got the last penny of mine. Worst customer service ever. read more

I took my 2010 Corolla in for an oil change and was advised that I needed a 60K mile service. Ended up with a $400 invoice. I was upset and spoke with the manager and then the regional manager. Both were very polite and professional and the regional manager even took $40 off the tab (10% as he put it). Given this level of support, one might feel good about the customer care they displayed. I am not. Let's keep in mind this is an oil change facility. Apparently over the years their business model shifted to include high priced easy to accomplish tasks that many people (especially woman, since I am the 2nd female in my family to have an over priced experience here) are unaware they don't need and that they are overly expensive. My recommendation after learning more about this stuff: Get your oil changed at these facilities, and nothing else. Have them print out what service they feel needs to be done and get it accomplished elsewhere for less. Replace the cabin filter yourself. It probably wouldn't realistically have to be replaced ever, or just vacuum it clean. read more

Awesome service! Everyone is very nice and customer service oriented. They check all of your fluids and put air in your tires as a courtesy. Even open the car door for you when you leave. Wait time is nil. Unlike the car dealership where wait times can be an hour or more. Guess thats why they are called Jiffy! Second time using them and will be back next time around for sure. They didn't do a lot of upselling, just advised me of the recommended service for my truck's mileage. I just got finished draining a quart of oil from my wife's Jeep Liberty. I took it to get an oil change a few days ago and they told me that it had an oil leak. It was news to me since our garage floor was spotless. This morning, after my wife pulled out of the garage, I noticed some oil spots. I had to come to this location because the one down the street did not have a temporary something oil pan seal they said I needed and manager was telling me to go my mechanics on a Sunday , as they were out of this item - I asked them to call another location , push back but finally manager did- I got to next location and was helped by Steven he was friendly , solution orientated and he explained what happened as I do not look under the hood and I immediately trusted him. I've never brought my car here, I do all my maintenance on my own(I work on vehicles as a living) but I came here with a friend and waited while they get a new tire. First off the ctruck magically wouldn't turn on. They claimed the vehicle needed all sorts of things, first they said it was the battery, then the starter, then the alternator. Been going to Jiffy Lube for years never liked the customer service but this was my first time at this location and I had a great experience. They have great customer service and even have a fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy. I was all for donating because I have a family member with MS. You also get a Jiffy Lube coupon book just for donating. The employees here are so funny and one of them looked like Ryan Gosling. I had to tell him he did and he said I was the second person who said that today and no ones has ever said it before. LoL He looks exactly like him. Lol. Not only can you trust them, you can stop in any time in between oil changes to top off your fluids and have your tires filled. Brought in a brand new car for its first service was told it was a quart low and developing sludge in the pan in an a attempt to up sell. They have a banner out front advertising a low price but everyone I watched check out payed three times that, I paid double with out any up sales so total bait and switch. Got home and car leaked oil all over my drive way. Took it back they spilled oil all over the plastic cover that covers the bottom of the engine compartment, wich they also lost half of the screws to. This place sucks go anywhere else. read more

I had gone in for an oil change. Seems simple enough. On my way home after the oil change, going up College Blvd, my SUV loses power and starts smoking from the back. I pull to the side of the road and luckily for me, there was an Oceanside police officer. He said he thought I had got into a bad accident. My SUV was smoking so bad, the police officer said he couldn't see me. Long story short, I got towed to Meineke and they said not only was my SUV over filled with oil, it appeared the old oil was never removed. It took almost a week for my SUV to stop smoking. They said it may take 50 to 100 miles for the smoke to go away and the smell...ugh. To Jiffy Lube's credit, they reimbursed me for the oil change they did but are refusing to reimburse me for my Meineke invoice. They have offered me a couple of free oil changes. I will never go there again. Just be careful if you go there when they are busy, I wouldn't want this to happen to you. read more

Everyone here is always wonderful. I come here frequently, bringing both of my vehicles. Because of the staff and the service here I won't go anywhere else. When you go ask for either of the two Mike's or Jori. As a single women it can be tough to find an auto shop that won't take advantage of you. I have found a place where they not only take care of my oil, etc. but will also advise me of maintenance service I need. If they don't offer the service they have a local referral ready for you. Went to Jiffy Lube (4106 Oceanside Blvd.) for an oil change on Sunday, they checked my air filter said it needed replacement-I politely decline. I bought an air filter and opened my hood to the surprise sitting on my manifold... After disposing of the toasted mouse, I went to remove the old filter and found only 1 of the four clips were secured. Total untrustworthy kids running this shop... Walked into the front office, guy was on his computer (don't know his name because he never even looked at me) waited around for 20 minutes. Still no one even talked to me. So I called the Carlsbad Jiffy Lube while I was standing right next to this guy, they said they could help me and to come on down. Went to Carlsbad Jiffy Lube, and wow!! what a difference. My husband took my car in the service was fast however the oil wasn't property changed. When I took it to Mazda they advised me the oil needs to be changed and it's been less then the week. When we called they said synthetic oil gets dirty fast after change, however this would be true if it's my first time using synthetic oil, but I've used it every oil change. They cheated of my service the first time I came in. We did return and they changed it while watching them. They have terrible service, they suppose to vacuum the car, however that was done super poorly. I would not recommend others to go here and in fact it is actually cheaper to go to a dealership when it comes to replace with synthetic oil then here. They charged $89 while at the dealership I get charged $59, they inspect everything for free, top off everything for free, tire pressure check, they also vacuum the entire car and wash it. Much better service at dealership, with more things they do for cheaper. read more

I thought these guys did a great job, and no pressure for any extras. I went in for an oil change, and they had a coupon for $10 off, so it was $32 with tax for conventional oil. They also put air in the tires, checked all the fluids and the battery. The mechanic went through everything with me and didn't try to sell me anything. The previous no-name place I had gone to kept telling me I needed to change the power steering fluid. On my visit to Jiffy Lube they said it was fine. I guess it magically improved since I went to the other place. They also offered to vacuum the interior, and clean to outside glass. The mechanic also took the time to answer all my questions about the difference in oil qualities, that synthetic lasts longer, etc. Great staff, very professional. read more

The tech said I needed a air filter replaced (didn't show me) on my 2011 fusion, a sealed type system, I said no. On my drive home the car stopped and had to be towed. This is my go to jiffy lube, as I live right down the street. I come here for my oil changes, and always get helped quickly, regardless if they have a lot of customers. Justin was very nice and friendly and helped me out yesterday. And not once has he ever pressured me into getting anything other than an oil change. Justin got me in and out in about 20 minutes. I visit them regularly for oil changes for my Civic - they always do a great job and are really quick, even when busy. Location is handy - I can do my grocery shopping while my car is taken care of. They of course try to offer additional services, but that's their job, just go in knowing what you want and stick to it and you won't have any problems. The guys showed me the filters and I could see first hand they needed to be replaced in my opinion that was not up selling just a good mechanic doing there job.
