Usually I don't have any issues, I always get conventional oil since I only drive about 2000 miles a year and my car is just a standard 2.0L 4 cylinder Kia Forte. Today I went in and the upselling was beyond unacceptable. When I politely declined the synthetic oil I was told I had to get it so I just said thank you but I'll take my car and leave. Drove over a parking lot stall 'curb'. I thought I could drive out rather than backing up because the car nose to nose with mine had left. But I was wrong. Made a horrible scrape noise over it forward and back-! Weeks later the 'oil can' symbol light came on in my dash. Saw oil slick on the ground where I park. Jiffy Lube guys checked my oil, partially refilled it, and checked under the car. Told me damage is not as bad as suspected. Told me it appears the leak is coming from a gauge or sensor not a gash in the oil pan. All the guys were friendly and helpful. Went two days ago to get my oil changed, which took 40 minutes even though no one was in the bay ahead of me. They showed me my cabin filter and suggested they replace it, which I declined since I can do it much more cheaply myself. When I went to replace it, I saw they had shoved the old filter in sideways, smashing it in so that it was folded in on itself and completely ineffective. These young men clearly have no idea how to respect customers or understand their value. I went in this morning for an oil change, and three boys were just standing there chatting. When I drove in and asked for service, they yelled at me and acted disrespectfully. One of them even told me to go find another place to get my oil changed. Poor kids don't seem to realize how much competition is out there. They think it would take me more than a minute to go somewhere else. The lesson here is simple: Teach your staffs to speak to customers respectfully. Customers come to your business to support you. They did not have my oil filter either but sent a worker out to go get me one. They also got me in and out within 30 minutes. The 3 employees I dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful. I bought a 2013 Ford Escape in Dec 2024 from Cars R Us, do not buy from these criminals. I wanted to use it for Uber driving so brought to Jiffy Lube on 181st & Glisan because they do Uber inspections and were close to my house. Ryan & Jordan (Josh) helped me and turns out I needed new tires which exposed bad rotors and rims needing replacement as they would not align with tires so spent 3 thousand to fix. As time would go on more and more issues would come to light and after paying 8 thousand for car I have now put in over 5 thousand in repairs. The latest was changing spark plugs because growling noise, misfires and engine light were happening every 5 days or so. Today, Feb 5, 2025 I had Ryan do work and somehow radio wouldn't work after. Ryan dug in and after about 15 minutes he was able to re-sync the radio and now it appears everything is ok. I would put Ryan ahead of any other mechanic out there. He is kind, caring and very professional and handled fixing the radio even though I was visibly upset but he never wavered in helping me. If you live in the area of 181st & Glisan you will get great service from Ryan, Jordan (also great) and the entire jiffy Lube team. These guys are more than just service oil changers, they are mechanics I would argue as good or better than Ford (where I had issues with some of my repairs). Here's my The next day I drove 5 hours south to Medford as I start hearing this scraping sound - so I pull over to look. And I notice a big piece of the plastic on the under body is hanging off - they had forgot to put the clips on and I had to go and do it myself. I have never been so happy with the care and service given to my car. I went in looking to have my oil changed. While looking over my FJ the technician noticed my brakes were really bad. I thought maybe this was just an up sale but before I knew it Mack took me to my vehicle to show me what was wrong. We agreed the repair was needed. After a bit we discovered that since the car came from Canada where road salt is used heavily, the components had a lot of corrosion. It was a real struggle. He offered to work late on it and finish the next morning. He apologized he could not finish that day but wanted to make sure he did a quality job. I agreed and picked it up the next morning. I must say that Mack did an outstanding job! I have never in all my 40 years of cars owned have had my brakes work so good after a repair. Never. Thank you Mack and Jiffy Lube. Yes, they do oil changes. It appears they also splash oil all over and then tell you that you have leaks. I was told that I had a "valve cover gasket" leak and that they could fix it. No thank you. Instead I took it to my mechanic who said no just oil spilled on it. But then the mechanic said there was oil underneath as well but without washing it off he could not tell if it was from the oil pan or the crankshaft. Ok so I approve him to do that. Turns out there was no leak there either, just more splashed oil. I would not recommend going to the Jiffy Lube at 181sr and Glisan. They lie and make a mess. read more

Called to see if they could change out the headlight bulbs on my Mazda 3. They said yes, it's 29.99. I asked if that was the installed price and the man agreed. Upon taking my vehicle in, we were told that they would not be able to change the bulbs as they are not a body shop. Apparently my bumper needs to be removed to get the bulbs and Jiffy does not cover this. Would have been nice to know there was a "but"..... Like when you ask for windshield quotes and they KNOW to ask you about the sensor first, as that changes the quote and product availability. Tired of wasting my time with what should be, professional mechanics. I just need working headlights! read more

I narrowly escaped having the engine on Chevy Silverado blow up thanks to this Jiffy Lube. Luckily I began to notice the rainbow sheen in my parking spots and it became apparent that my truck had been severely leaking oil all over Portland. After this discovery when I checked the oil level, it was empty. I immediately took it back to this Jiffy Lube to have them address the issue. They said that the oil filter was not tightened all the way and had 4 more turns to get it fully tightened. I asked them to refund me with a gift card or some compensation for the $30 I had to spend to have enough oil in my engine to make it to their location without my engine exploding and their response was "Sorry there is nothing we can do as these things happen from time to time." I will now be avoiding this Jiffy Lube as well as all others if this is the quality control they have. I will also be reading the reviews of other Oil Change locations to prevent this from happening again. read more

Awful experience. Very disrespectful to women! A week after getting my oil changed I noticed (on Christmas Eve) that my moms driveway was covered in oil. The following day (Christmas Day) I notice my dads driveway was covered in oil. Jiffy lube failed to tighten the oil pan bolt. My dad spent hours on Christmas Day helping me fix their mistake so that I can get home. This I didn't have an issue with. Mistakes happen. However the way I was treated when I went back in was ridiculous. He told me he had a hard time believing my story because my oil was 3 qts overfull. After getting my dad on the phone he changed his story to 1/2 qt overfull. Also, I checked my oil prior to going in and it was not over. He was extremely rude to my sister and I but when he was on the phone with my dad he was very polite. He did not talk with me the rest of the time there. When he was finished he had someone else come get me. I have pictures and videos of the issues around my car and he did not even want to look at them. After asking for his managers information 4 times I have attempted to contact his boss and corporate and they have not called me back either. I will never come to this or any jiffy lube location again. read more

Really disappointed with the lack of transparency here. Pulled up, asked for an oil change, was given options for which kind of oil I wanted put in, it's a new to me car, so of course I call my dad & ask. I figured that I drive an awful lot for work, and my car's getting up there in miles so I went with the high mileage, as I've done quite a few times before on other vehicles. I was NOT told about how huge the price discrepancy would be between conventional and high mileage. I usually change my own, but I've been too busy and just got this car, so yes, I understand that different oil has different cost. I was also not informed that they'll up charge you for having to put more than 5 qt in??? Went back to ask about my bill and was basically told that I was the one who was incorrect and stupid, purely for asking questions. Oh, and the guy with that tats on his forearms was a d***. Was in jiffy lube just today 7/3/2021 first off asked guy there about cleaning my headlight and he said they dont do that there. Which 145th and division does. He also walked away from me when talking to him. (Should be fired) Secondly needed air in my tires left there and tire light was still on so came right back and gut said cant get light off right now too busy. Which I paid 122$ for my services. Shit should be done right. So went to les shwab and they said jiffy lube never put air in tire that was so low thats why light stayed on still. So guess what???? I recently had my oil changed at this Jiffy Lube. I have a Chevy Cruz 2014 and Chevrolet requires that it be half synthetic. Jiffy Lube jacking up the prices charged me $75 for this service. The tech also advised me that I had only 2 mm left on my front brake pads, so I went out and looked to see how much that would cost and I found a really good offer on Groupon. I ended up going to precision tune auto care in Vancouver this morning and told them if my experience and before starting they preform a brake inspection. Turns out that the pads were not as bad as they thought they were, the tech simply didn't know what he was doing. In the future if you should stick to changing oil and overcharging your customers I will be going to precision auto tune care in Vancouver since I found a better offer on Groupon that was 1/3 the price on a half synthetic oil change. read more

I recommend everyone NOT to go to this Jiffy Lube place. The guy that handles the charges and cashier is a specialized CON ARTIST. Never let your guard down when talking to him. He hides information from you. And trick me to pay the large amount. For example, I wanted an oil change for $115 for my bmw this include a $15 coupon for a synthetic oil change. However, he told me that i need to change the air filter and the cabin filter which will cost up to $200. I was fcking suprised.... But the air filter looks very dirty. He told me that he would change the airfilter w/ no additional cost. I asked him if my $15 coupon will be applied. and HE SAID YES. So from my math, the total should be 200-25 (filter)-15(coupon)= $160 ish. BUT HE CHARGES me $180. He told me that the coupon was removed because he added the free air filter. Early, he mentioned that the $15 is included!!!! He apoligize and mentioned the total price many times. but i told him that hiding the information that the coupon would not be included is a MAJOR TRUST ISSUE. The grin in his face is disgusting.
