I just had James take a look at what I though was a huge problem on my truck. He took a look, fixed what turned out to be a really simple problem, and it didn't hardly cost me anything at all. He didn't give me a special rate. He just gave me good service (it only took him less than 30 minutes to complete). The price was much less than I would have paid at most other shops, and he came to my work and did it. I didn't have to leave work and leave my vehicle at a shop to get it fixed. So convenient. I've actually referred James to my friends and other family over the years, and have nothing but good reports back. So I thought I would give this guy a shout out with an online review so others know about a convenient, price effective option when they need work on their own cars.

And said they wouldn't be able to do any repairs until at least Tuesday. Then I called James. What a difference. He was professional on the phone and came out that day. He found I needed battery, went out to pick up the battery, then worked by flashlight to finish the repair. His labor charge was reasonable and he showed me the bill from for the battery, so I could see he wasn't padding charges. And I avoided towing fees. James was truly wonderful. He ensured the new battery had a good warrantee and took steps to maximize the life of battery. Will definitely call James again if needed!

Tony is completely unhinged. Tony became furious and said he wouldn't service my car and said I had to pick it up immediately or it would be towed. When I arrived he continued to yell at me despite requests that he let me pay so I could leave. He charged almost 200 dollars for the scans and blamed me on his not having lunch that day (he suggested the appointment time!). He told me that I would have to fix it myself (knowing I couldn't) and telling me that the engine would probably fail on the way home. Do not come alone if you're a woman.

I'm glad I had someone else with me, because his behavior would probably have been worse and gone on longer had I been alone. He sent me a text message outlining the issues and then called me back and we had a discussion. I asked for an invoice which you would expect from any legitimate professional business.. He said "sorry this text message is what all I send my customers"; that kind of response tells me you're rolling the dice with Joe, not having an invoicing system? Really? In this day and age of mobile apps? Some of the things that he said were wrong with the car ended up being different than what he reported. I cannot recommend Joe unless you're in a tough situation, but make sure you grind him on the price,,, I'm sure his work is fine, because of his years of experience.
