Took my vehicle in for an oil change before leaving for a trip to the Appalachian Mountains. As I'm driving north on I-95 my vehicle's check engine light goes on and oil change light and it was making some worrisome noises. I stopped at another Jiffy Lube in Daytona Beach to see what was wrong. At first they thought it was a bigger issue that would cost hundreds. But then one guy thought to check something that he said he highly doubted was the issue. He thought, MAYBE there's a chance they didn't put back on the oil pan which keeps the oil in and prevents it from all coming out. BINGO! That was it. This place failed to put the oil pan back and all the new oil I had JUST paid for all was lost and I was left with 0 oil. They said it was good thing I came in and stopped driving it or my vehicle engine would have been damaged. This place is a big NO GO. How could such incompetence happen?!? read more

A service writer explained some additional repairs that should be addressed. No pressure or high end sales pressure just making me aware of items that should be looked into. I paid it because the work was completed before I knew the price and maintaining my car is important to me, as I am a senior citizen. I am always apprehensive when I get any automotive repairs/maintenance at the larger business chains for the typical stereotypes that they are more expensive (i.e. a Rip Off) and not as knowledgeable. Well this was definitely not the case at this Jiffy Lube. From the moment I entered the business the staff was courteous and accommodating. I needed an oil change, new battery, and rear brakes. Pedro delivered quality service by tediously explaining what my vehicle needed in its entirety. I do have a regular mechanic that we use but needed the convenience of Jiffy Lube on this occasion. Also might I add, my regular mechanic would have been more expensive in comparison to their quote. The facility was clean. The staff was efficient and completed the tasks at hand in a timely manner. All I can say upon bringing my son's car here this morning is A++++. The service I received was outstanding. Being a single woman and having to do these types of services always makes me apprehensive and quite frankly, nervous. Not here. I've been coming here for years because I know I'll always be treated great but this morning these terrific men worked on my car, 3 at a time, as if I was one of their own family members. They checked everything thoroughly, fairly, gave me their recommendations and weren't pushy and I felt completely comfortable the whole time from intake to leaving. TA'VON, STEVEN, TERRY, TAFT were all first class, respectful and I felt like I was given their undivided attention. They even threw in a special perk for me with a free car wash coupon to use and reimbursed me for a coupon a had forgotten to hand to them upon checking out but remembered I had I my purse. I took my vehicle to get an oil change for a trip from west palm to Orlando, I went in the afternoon after work, the service didn't take too long at all. after the service was done I drover off and immediately felt my vehicle wasn't accelerating the way it normally does but I thought maybe it was the car adjusting to new oil. The following day was my trip and I barely made it! the vehicle was over heating and I was left stranded in the middle of A highway with my 6 year old daughter on a day the temperatures were felt to be 105 degrees. I TRULY REGRET getting an oil change at this location. I went back and they simply told me it's just coincidence while not acknowledging how my vehicle wasn't the same the second I drove away, now it's leaking coolant all over the engine. please do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake! find yourself an honest mechanic! Whenever you go there they find something they can do so they can get more money out of you even though you don't need it before you have them, do any work on your vehicle check with a mechanic. Later Found was other issues but, after bringing it to my mechanic he told me that none of the work they charged me for was done. besides adding oil. The manager told me that it was from me not getting my oil changed regularly. But I change my oil before I'm scheduled to and as long as I've had my car have never had issues more than suspension. Then continues to say that "most females just know to put gas". They didn't know what they were talking about. 1000% would not recommend, even for changing Wiper fluids. Gone for a oil change for my grandmother. Brought a high mileage car 200k+. The techs told me they wont work on my car because of a noise they heard. With little to no skill they told me that my motor was gonna blow. It was quite embracing to be frank. I had no energy to argue with someone with pure laziness, so i gone to another shop and requested that i see the old oil and to no surprise nothing was wrong and in fact it was just tick lift from Low oil pressure, hence my point. I understand it was an hour near closing time and you had another car when i gone. DO NOT Get service done here just a warning. Went in for an oil change only that's all I asked for "tech said coolant level was low asked if I would like it topped off" I said yes just wanted to see what was gonna happen. The day before I drained the coolant and added radiator flush with water to flush the system. Water was also added to the coolant overflow reservoir I planned on flushing the system after the oil change got charged $6.99 for a quart of coolant they never added anything. I questioned the tech he says it was added but yet the overflow bottle still looked like clear water. It's not about the money it's the PRINCIPLE. read more

This place is a downright scam. I've spoke to Corporate numerous times on this location and I've now filed with the Attorney Generals' Office of Florida and the Better Business Bureau, along with a full investigation with Jiffy Lube Corporate is now being opened. Back in February, I had an oil change done. The manager later told me that his entire "dependable" staff had quit and he had new staff being trained, unbeknownst to me, when they performed an oil change on my car. I let the technician know I had a massive trip from Florida to New York the following day and driving nonetheless so this oil change was important. When we were driving the next day, it became apparent something was wrong. My "check engine" light randomly appeared and a "oil change urgent" light began flashing. Thankfully we made it home to New York safe but with these indicators still going. I don't drive a hobo car either, a fresh 2019 Ford Fusion. I brought my car into the dealership to their service department and they let me know the person who performed the oil change forgot to click the indicator to turn off that light AND they didn't properly put in the new filter unit which was ajar the entire drive up. Thank goodness there wasn't any further damage to my engine. I quickly called the store to let them know, especially since I paid over $100 for the oil change. The manager I spoke to was kind, wanted to offer me a refund and was apologetic. He told me the store once had a really dependable group of workers but they all recently quit and they'd been struggling to find guys who can work correctly. None of this was my problem and he agreed he'd speak to the store manager to push a refund through for their disastrous performance. The next day, the "manager" called me and was downright condescending, rude and offputting. He contradicted everything the manager had said the day prior and threw backhanded insults my way. He refused the refund and has never returned my call since. I have now reached out to corporate for assistance as well as filed with the Attorney General's Office of Florida and Better Business Bureau. It's one thing to make an error and apologize, do the right thing, etc., but it's another to then point the finger at the consumer when all I did was reach out to let you guys know the service I paid for was incomplete and caused distress, panic and possible damage to my vehicle had it not been caught earlier. A simple refund is what I was promised and now that the store manager wants to bully a customer, I feel the need to protect future consumers of Jiffy Lube and this specific location and will do so to the highest extent. read more

There is a hidden $10 oil disposal fee that you don't learn about until after they complete the service (it's not on the website when I priced the service). Other than that the disposal fee, the service was fine. Jiffy Lube is changing their model from a low cost oil change shop to a full service, one stop mechanic shop. I had my oil changed in my 2013 Ford E-350 van today. Several of the crew such as Austin C are new but you couldn't tell it by how polite they were and how well they did their work. I know that several customers have written negative things about this service facility but I think I know why. It isn't the product or the employees. It is a combination of two things. First, the wait outside to get into a bay can take quite a while, and second, the prices have nearly doubled since the pandemic. Neither of those issues are the fault of the crew so please stop being angry and rude with these guys. They work in the heat, grease, dirt, and oil to service our vehicles. I value their service because at 72-years-old I don't want to change my oil any more like I did for the first 60 years of my life. " And seemed a little annoyed - i had no problem with that so I said I'll come back tomorrow. Next day , same guy (and only two cars there )says the same thing as if it was there script . This guy rants so fast about the type of oils and explains how the groupon applies but I have to ask him three times because he goes so fast ( again seems annoyed!) They refused to accept my Christmas coupon. Coupon states 5 quarts of oil, filter change, inspection, window cleaning, vacuum, tire pressure, windshield washer fill-up all for a total price of $19.99 ($22 savings). They claim that the coupon only gives $22 off and the price would be $40 to $50 total. I pointed at the fact that the coupon explicitly states its $19.99 total, but their excuse was that my car oil was not 'Florida standard' so it doubles the price. As I stated to leave, another employee approached and changed the reason to 'its a high mileage oil'. FYI- I am a mechanic, it's neither reason. It's just an oil for colder temps. The only way the price changes so drastically is if you request to use an 'all synthetic oil.' Lies and scams.
