I returned a few months later for an oil change! I felt so positive about coming here. When I left I didn't have a care in the world. Until I started noticing all the oil puddles on the ground whenever I parked. I return tell them I'm leaking oil all over the place. A person goes downstairs I assume all he did was wipe all excess up and make sure the filter was snug. You're good to go! Says one of the employee's. Long story short my car was still leaking oil. So now I take it to Firestone the Automotive Tech. Told me that when the new filter was placed on, it did not include the rubber seal!!! Which when done correctly keeps oil from leaking at the filter! Not very happy with this Jiffy Lube location! That was a rookie mistake! The last 4 times I've gone here I felt ripped off-they didn't wash any windows, vacuum, nor give that talk when they list everything they did. I only drive a few hundred miles a year and the last time I came here was because my car was showing the oil light (after maybe 250 miles)- I'm pretty sure they didn't even change my oil last time. I just checked my air filters and they were filthy and the interior filter smelled like a dead rat- which means they never checked the air filters. I came here with our cars for the first time a couple of months ago and Jeff who was in charge at that moment, took his job very seriously by providing us with TOP-NOTCH Customer service. He literally went beyond our expectations. First of all, he welcome us with a smile and ready to offer his services. He shared the long list of inspections and we were very surprising of all the items they service on the package of inspections, because it explains the importance of safetyness of having your car to drive in very good conditions and that is what this shop provides. One employee, tried to close the hood with the brace still in position, he bent the hood. I heard a crack, but didn't think anything of it until I saw him paying closer attention to the hood. He went to go do something else without owning up to it. I looked at the hood and sure enough the hood was messed up. I spoke with the manager, and he was accepting of the situation and said he will reach out to the regional manager. A week later I was told they are not going to do anything about it because it is minor. I said if it is minor why not cover the cost at your body shop of choosing? Went here for an Uber Inspection, which should be free... but that isn't the issue. They were charging $40 for the inspection. So we thought, okay maybe we'll see if we can find another place... but it is pouring out. My husband goes back in and they say $50, 10 mins later. I reviewed this company about a decade ago and gave them 1 Star. Now, I am back 11 years later to say nothing has changed. I needed an oil change and they were close to me. They changed the oil and filter and gave me my car back with the Check Engine light on. They denied they did something to cause the issue. How is it that I brought in a car with no issues and now I leave with an issue. They said it's probably the spark plug but they are not responsible for changing it. You broke it and now you refuse to even attempt to fix it. Now I have to go somewhere else to figure out and pay to fix what they broke. I am so upset right now. I gotta give it up to Jiffy Lube, they do a lot more than just change oil!! As someone who worked on my own cars for years, I was always wary about taking my cars anywhere for maintenance, especially a quick change oil place. So when I'm in places like this, I tend to pay attention to everything. First of all, they use the highest quality oil, they use Pennzoil. They look up what oil your car takes, but you can tell them what you've been using also. They have a checklist that they use to make sure they don't forget anything, and you can hear them repeating it to each other out loud. I knew they checked fluids and the air filter and refilled or replaced your air filter at your request for additional cost. What I didn't know was that they diid things like rotate tires, flush and change brake fluid (I overheard someone having this done) and other maintenance type work. I bring both my cars here for service, and once your cars are in their system, everything just flows. The longest I've had to wait was about 40 minutes, but I try to come when they're not too busy. I don't know if all Jiffy Lubes run like this. Like all good businesses, it starts and ends with good people, and they have some really good people working here!!! read more

I visited the Jiffy Lube at 15018 Hesperian Blvd in San Leandro, CA on 11/4/24. I arrived at around 11:30 a.m. and the wait time was reasonable. It has been a while since I had visited a JL so the $112.99 charge for a synthetic oil change came as a bit of a surprise, but costs go up, and I understand. In addition to the oil service I had them replace my windshield wipers. Total bill came out to $164 (before tax) My issue came when I arrived home and reviewed the invoice. According to the invoice they had completed the service checklist for all the services that come with their Signature Service. According to the invoice the Quality Inspection was completed by N CHHEUN, and they vacuumed my floors, washed my exterior windows and checked/filled my windshield washer fluid. Needless to say, none of these services were performed. Based on these lies I have to wonder what other checks (transmission fluid, brakes, radiator etc.) they also skipped. And to top it all off when I called them to bring this to their attention the person who answered the phone (and did not identify himself) only had to say "I'm sorry we missed these". I'm just wondering how many others customers were "missed". Needless to say I will not be back. read more

Just drove out of there with my mom's Honda that's been neglected for some time. I was told by the dealership that it needed new cabin filters and I noticed that the AC was no longer blowing cold air but instead warm air. Went to Jiffy Lube on a whim and was SO GLAD that I did! I asked the gentleman who changed the cabin filter if he could also check why the AC's not working and after a quick diagnosis, he told me what needed to be done. They don't let you sit in your car anymore, they take a lot longer now and their prices have gone up. The trade off is you get a little more: they clean your windows and vacuum the front of your car, but still not worth it to me. Make sure you use at least a $10 Coupon from their website. They wouldn't honor my other coupon even though it said it was good in California until the end of the month. Prices are $50 for standard and $75 for high mileage blend, $95 for full synthetic. My regular Jiffy Lube shop oil changes for my Acura is in San Francisco. It's been overdue for service and since I haven't been to take the car into the City, I decided to take it to the San Leandro Jiffy Lube for the oil change on Saturday. After driving up, I was greeted by a guy, who then walked me to the waiting room and to enjoy some coffee or tea. A little later, a woman confirmed my customer information and asked which oil change service I wanted and I signed my estimate. It was rarity to see that the service techs at this shop were women. When the oil change service was completed, the cashier went over the service checklist with me and I paid and went to my car. I looked at my carpets and it did not appear to be vacuumed, even though the receipt said it was "completed". Then I looked at my receipt and it said that I declined to have my exterior windows cleaned. Really? I would decline that? When I got home, I popped open the hood just to check the fluid levels. The windshield wiper fluid was not filled though the receipt said it was "added". I pulled the dipstick and was relieved that the crankcase was filled. The reason I take my car to Jiffy Lube is for the extra services, such as vacuuming, cleaning the windows and topping off the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. Well, with this service, I didn't receive any of these services. Very disappointed with the service provided. You would think you would receive the same service you get at another Jiffy Lube.
