My regular Jiffy Lube shop oil changes for my Acura is in San Francisco. It's been overdue for service and since I haven't been to take the car into the City, I decided to take it to the San Leandro Jiffy Lube for the oil change on Saturday. After driving up, I was greeted by a guy, who then walked me to the waiting room and to enjoy some coffee or tea. A little later, a woman confirmed my customer information and asked which oil change service I wanted and I signed my estimate. It was rarity to see that the service techs at this shop were women. When the oil change service was completed, the cashier went over the service checklist with me and I paid and went to my car. I looked at my carpets and it did not appear to be vacuumed, even though the receipt said it was "completed". Then I looked at my receipt and it said that I declined to have my exterior windows cleaned. Really? I would decline that? When I got home, I popped open the hood just to check the fluid levels. The windshield wiper fluid was not filled though the receipt said it was "added". I pulled the dipstick and was relieved that the crankcase was filled. The reason I take my car to Jiffy Lube is for the extra services, such as vacuuming, cleaning the windows and topping off the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. Well, with this service, I didn't receive any of these services. Very disappointed with the service provided. You would think you would receive the same service you get at another Jiffy Lube. Obviously not at this location. read more

Don't know what happened but I paid $100 for a fully synthetic oil change. My oil life meter never changed. It still says oil life is at 0% and I can't feel the change in power and ride that you get when you change the oil. I don't know if dirty oil got mixed in with the clean oil or what but it ain't the way it's supposed to be for sure read more

This is my first time coming to Jiffy Lube and I have the pleasure of coming across Mila. She was super sweet and very patient. Super knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable being that this is my first time there and didn't pressure me into unnecessary purchases. Overall, the service was great and the wait wasn't too bad. Poor customer service. First, one attendant asked me what type of oil I wanted. "Conventional," I replied. The second attendant then tried to insist that my car had the 'gold' synthetic blend oil in it. It definitely doesn't. I buy the cheapest, always. There's a reason I take my car to Jiffy Lube. He then told me that they'd put the synthetic blend in the car, and he tried to get me to pay for it, to the tune of $75.00. After I disputed the cost and the service, he said "Well, how about $40.00?," like he'd pulled a number from out of nowhere. I stated that normally, with the Jiffy Lube coupon, it comes out to less than that. He had the audacity to insist that he was giving me a discount already, and that they'd accidentally put in the wrong blend, so that should be good enough. Unprofessional teenagers or early 20-somethings. Poor service. read more

Honestly I used to work for jiffy lube in Lafeytte CA and we were I believe number 4 in all of CA, WE had great customer relations and solid timing for cars in and out. THIS specific jiffy lube, I went in on 1/6/2023 at 4:00pm and NO ONE talked to us or let us know how long the wait would be or even made eye contact with us. Then they continued to help 2 other people that got there AFTER us. I could also see every single one of them was working slower then a snail and just not handling the situation with customer satisfaction. We left after 35 minutes. read more

Took my car to a garage for a second opinion and found out that nothing was wrong with my car except the oil was low....go figure. This has to be the worst oil change experience I've ever encountered. They told us that our oil pan nut is stripped and is leaking. Telling us our washer is damaged, but isn't it a service to change the washer each time? Then telling us to go somewhere else makes it a whole lot better. Thanks a lot. I bring my vehicle to this location to change my oil all the time, it's close to my home, fast service.... However today, I am kind of disappointed, because the cashier rejected my $16 off oil change coupon, reason he gave me is unacceptable... he said that coupon is for synthetic oil only, but nothing in the coupon said that... and I downloaded from Jiffy Lube site specific. He even said they do not have any promotion even... THAT'S AFTER THEY CHANGED MY OIL...Good thing was another employee stepped in and told that guy to give me the discount.... I came home and rechecked the website... this location has 5 promotions, including $16 off oil change coupon. Never happened before, I have been doing oil change here for more than 10 years... I always come to this location for all of my cars needs. The guys here are young but professional and super knowledgeable and helpful. The waiting area is small but theres refreshments and TV plus the wait time isn't long at all. Just had the greatest experience at Jiffy Lube. I didn't have to wait at all. I had 3 guys working on my car. They changed my oil & filter, vacuumed my car, cleaned my windows, called me ma'am, opened and closed my door for me. Really treated me with 100% respect. When i came into for a change, they recommended - in fact, insisted - that I wait another 1000 miles. Went here to do a lyft California vehicle inspection seems ok until I summited the paperwork to Lyft and got rejected because the inspector forget to fill out the mileage which I paid 39.99 for inspection, if these people can't fill out a simple paperwork ,and I have no confidence in them working on cars. read more

Worst jiffy lube that I have ever been too. I thought it was just a one time thing but I went a second time for an oil change and it was still crap service. I'm from Sacramento and jiffy lube there is night and day better than this crappy place. There is no customer service, there is no people skills, there is no standards at all. $45 to do an oil change when my son brought his own oil and own filter. On a regular invoice they charge $20+ for parts, but when you bring in your own parts, they only give a $2 discount. wow...where do i start, i suppose i should mention that my experiance is a little old, maybe a year. I wasn't really using yelp at that time, otherwise I probably would've reviewed it then. However what happened is really so bad that I've got to post it now that I am on here and happened to find some reviews for this Jiffy Lube. So anyways, a while back I took in my Saturn for an oil change. I used to take it to a place on Washington, until they did something stupid that probably deserves another review, but they seem to be owned by someone else now anyways...Anyways, I came here as a new place to get the oil changed. I got the oil changed, no problems. I don't remember if they vacuumed or did the windows or whatever, I wasn't really worried about it. The next oil change comes around and I take it back to the dealership. This is where that 1 star (I wish i could give 0 stars) comes in. I get asked into the garage area where I'm showed the most mangled oil filter that I"ve ever seen. It seems that this Jiffy Lube forced the wrong filter into my car. Better yet, the dealership found metal shavings in the oil which could have caused knocking to occur (if you don't know what that is, its when the pistons start hitting metal on metal, and this can cause you to throw a rod. That is when your piston - a metal rod - shoots straight through the engine, you can imagine how well the car would work after that), so I had to get the engine flushed. After getting this wonderful news I went back to the Jiffy Lube and got my paperwork from it and explained what happened. One guy told me it wasn't possible due to the type of car/filter i had. It uses a canister so it wasn't possible to put the wrong one in. They didn't believe me and had me go all the way back down to Fremont to get the oil filter. Once I got back and showed them the filter the same moron who told me it wasn't possible saw the mangled thing and suddenly remembered my car and how he had forced in the filter and it had given him a scar (serves him right). Now not long ago he had said it wasn't possible, and I understand why he said that. With computers everything is shaped so that only the correct plug can go into it, kinda like the old square pegs and round holes, it only fits one way. These are called idiot plugs because only an idiot can plug it in wrong. Now once faced with the proof of their stupidity they refunded the amount I paid for the oil change, and what I had to pay for the work at the dealership. I suppose that might earn the 1 star. I have never, ever, returnee to this place, and never will. Theres an oil changing place just down hesperian across from the new WalMart. Go there, it's way better. read more

The manager told me my AC needed a recharge, so I approved it. A moment later, an employee poked his head in and told me that I didn't need it, and "I wouldn't let him do it if I were you." I went out and told them I'd have it done later that week, and to just complete the oil change, as they hadn't started on the AC recharge yet. On my way out, the watchdog employee informed me that his manager frequently pressures people for service they don't need, and that I should probably report it to Jiffy Lube Corporate (I did). I've now discovered that, in addition to trying to rip me off, they poured oil all over my passenger headlight, bumper, and engine compartment in a horrifying attempt to get oil into the car (car's black, so I didn't notice right away). They didn't complete most of the points in their service package (as you'd think you'd notice a headlight out), which I discovered right after I left. I'd been there a few times before, and while there a few really nice people working there, they're surrounded and terrified by incompetent management and co-workers. They told me I needed transmission fluid flush, coolant flush, that my coolant hose was broken, a new air filter. That's false! I just had my coolant hose replaced not even a month ago. They stated I declined vacuum and window wash on my vehicle. I never did, they were just too lazy to do it. Oil change was $28 after $10 coupon found online. Standard, but not a deal. UPDATE: I went to another auto shop, as I was feeling paranoid that maybe my car needed a tune up. He stated that my transmission fluid is "okay", that I didn't really need a coolant flush. The staff at this location are helpful and they explain everything in an easy understandable way! I never have to ask them to reset my gas light or put a new sticker in my car and that's always something I've had problems with at other locations. The guys that work here are great. They are very personable and recognize me every time I come in - I come in often because I have 5 cars to maintain. Mohammad is the manager there. He goes above and beyond to make sure I leave happy. Last visit he had to go to another location to get a special filter for my car. **Oil change prices at JL are a bit higher than other places but you get more than other places, like topping off all fluids under the hood and tire checks. I feel safer knowing that all the fluids are checked instead of just the oil. The other bonus is you can come back in between oil changes for a top-off if needed. read more

Be very care of this place! First off. I take my personal cars and business cars here for oil services. I came in today for an oil change but was almost scam in changing the air filter. The girl at the front show me a really dirty one and said it was mine. (Air filter was replaced 30 days ago). They broke the cap of resevior for the coolant and didnt even tell me. I only knew about it when the cashier told me i was low on brake fuild. I called to tell the technical about it and told he that was unacceptable. This is probably the best jiffy lube I've ever seen! The team and their customer service is top notch! I have issues with my A/C and they took care of me that moment I made the bell ring. The manager Mohammed is on a different level of customer service! He approaches you with a smile even though he's packed! The team has super energy and greets you with a smile. Normally I do all oil changes on my 1999 4x4 Ranger since maintenace ended and I only owner. Time constraints had me bring this to Jiffy Lube for a change. I have the oil pan bolt clearly marked with nail polish to ensure proper line up and avoid over tightening. Next oil chang I did myself... Im pissed off...they 1. over tightend bolt so now when I unscrew it, it starts leaking oil immediately, which is a friggin annoyance as before it came out clean and didnt leak til pulled out entirely. 2. they did not put the oil cap on only one turn so it was very loose thus causing oil splatters. lazy ass Jiffy Lube ... dont go here period! read more

Times are hard right now, and I need every dollar I can get. I have a Honda Civic, but even she needs maintenance. I didn't have a whole lot of money to spend and I needed my oil changed using high mileage oil and my fuel system cleaned out, but I couldn't afford the full price for both services. I figured I would only really be able to afford the oil change, because that was what I needed the most. It started to rain, and I hopped in the Civic to head over to the Jiffy Lube not very far from where I live. I highly recommend going early in the morning because there was literally no wait. These guys were courteous and were able to offer me both services at a player's price. Pray to Him and He will show!! I work near by this location my first visit was out of convenience however I continue to come to the same location because of their great service! The young woman was able to answer all my questions which made me feel like she knew exactly what she was doing. The men working were also very professional and polite.
