Took my name, make, model of my car and told me that it was 99 for a synthetic blend. He reiterated that it would be an hour from then and I said I would be there at 4 and I was okay to wait if I needed to (I understood it wasn't an appointment) I arrived at 4:05 and was greeted by a man who told me they had no idea who I was and didn't take appointments. They were at an hour wait. if I had known I would have gone to another location or literally anything else. As I was leaving they shouted the address for the one down the street. I get it they had a lot going on but I would not have come if they did not say "Come in an hour". I went for a oil change. My mechanic charges $55. Jiffy lube does to but I has a $20 off coupon. Well they do charge $55 plus extra for another quart of oil they said I needed but in 20 years I've never been told that. Plus tax and shop supplies. So now total is over $67. That's ridiculous for a conventional oil change. So with the $20 off it was $47.22. I gave $60 they said they usually don't have people pay with cash. So he searched got me $12 and told me if I wanted my 78 cents it would be in pennies. Told him forget it. I'm only giving 3 stars due to nice man changing my oil. Friendly customer service, but you had one job change the oil and make sure filter is tightened. Luckily I have the mechanical knowledge to check and caught the loose filter in time, but if I hadnt known to check this would have ruined my engine or could have started an oil fire at some point. read more

I got the fastest oil change ever on 6/19/22 and on 7/16/22 my engine light came on, my car had resistance when I pressed on the accelerator, and then the car died as soon as I parked before I even put it in park. I was lucky I was on the side streets going slow, barely out of town when this happened since I was on my way to drive out of state, because if I had been going even 65mph and stalled on the freeway, that would have been so dangerous. Towed my car to the mechanic and they said my engine needed to be replaced. Something to do with the oil change I got. Left my car there since I already had an out-of-state trip planned. Missed my cousin's high school grad party with family because of this and had to get take a Lyft to get a rental car from the PHX airport since local places closed early afternoon. 8/2 update: Worst customer service ever. My car is still at the mechanic's, it's been weeks. Been in touch with Jiffy Lube's Area Manager who transferred my case to their insurance, Traveler's Insurance, and their adjuster tried to find a reason for them NOT to reimburse me for anything and then hung up on me when I told her I AM going to get reimbursed for all my expenses - the engine & labor, car storage, rentals, Lyfts, and any additional costs I incur from this. Jiffy Lube is a shady corporation who has the money to make things right for the mistake they don't want to be accountable for. I've read a number of complaints from people who have had their engines die because of a bad Jiffy Lube oil change. Just go on Reddit and Twitter. I have taken excellent care of my car since I've had it because I take care of my stuff in general. I am NOT the one at fault here. I do not recommend anyone get ANY service whatsoever done at any Jiffy Lube unless they want major issues. 8/24 update: the Travelers Insurance adjuster was a bit hard to get a hold of after the first call, so I Tweeted Travelers and got in touch with someone in a higher position who was able to provide some helpful info and expedite things. Later, the adjuster was very helpful and responsive and I did enjoy talking to her. We're all under stress, me from dealing with this for over a month not knowing if I'll have to pay, and her team I believe from a staff shortage (from what I've heard). But good news! They are covering all my expenses related to this incident including the engine replacement, rental cars, and Lyfts to/from the rental car shop, which is almost $9K total. I'll get my car back by the end of the week . This has been a long 6 weeks... Moral of the story: find an AWESOME local mechanic, preferably a long-standing, trustworthy family-run business who has experience with claims like this. And never get serviced at Jiffy Lube. read more

Went here to get an oil change, which was fine. As far as I'm aware, they performed the oil change adequately. However, a couple of weeks after leaving there my AC stopped blowing cold air. Fine, probably just needs a flush and coolant recharge, right? Well I check the coolant and it's almost full. So I know this isn't the issue. I bring the vehicle in and a different repair shop tells me that the issue with the AC is that the compressor wire is as pinched under the brackets and wrapped around it. I asked if this was something that could've happened by driving and hitting a bump. No. I was assured it had to have been deliberate and jiffy lube is the only place that had touched my car in the last 8 months. Found out at this point that bc of the wire being pinched for as long as it was that it not only damaged the wire but also the compressor. Now both need replacing, which is nearly $1000. The reason I'm quick to jump on them is not only bc they're the only ones who touched my car any time before this occurred is because when I showed up, I was the only car there who pulled in and one of the mechanics had his gf there sitting on his lap, making out with her. The 2 other mechanics were goofing off and tossing stuff around having fun. The only professional employee was the manager, or who I presumed was the manager (they were all very young) but after taking down my info and what I wanted performed on the vehicle, rather than reprimanded his employees he was laughing and having fun right along with them. I've never seen something so unprofessional without even a small attempt to hide these things from their customers. The amount of care they gave to their image, it would only make sense that this was the amount of care they gave to my vehicle. read more

Showed up to get an oil change and told the employee that I wanted to get the standard oil change for $58.00. A few hours later I called the shop because I never received a call that my car was ready to be picked up and the worker told me they are not allowed to call customers (seems unlikely but okay). I showed up to pick it up and my $58 oil change turned into $98.00. I told the worker there must be a mistake but he claims my car cannot take standard oil and he claims they tried to call me several times to confirm the switch to synthetic oil was acceptable (I never received a single call and he claims they are allowed to call customers which is the opposite of what I was told by the first employee). DO NOT GO HERE. THEY ARE SNAKES AND WILL RIP YOU OFF AND LIE STRAIGHT TO YOUR FACE ANY CHANCE THEY GET read more

I will never return to this Jiffy Lube. My experience here was unpleasant. I won't recount the whole story of my experience moment by moment, but what I will say about this place is that I left there feeling as though I'd been bamboozled and that they'd try to take advantage of me. I will say that I felt as if they were trying to sell me ANYthing and everything. Their gimmick? They pull out your air filter and show you how dirty it is and try to sell you a new air filter. they try to sell you all kinds of services. Despite my stating - I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING ABOVE A STANDARD OIL CHANGE. Every time I was asked would I like this or that, I repeated that statement. After the oil change was complete, I was told my oil change would be $74 dollars. $74 dollars for a standard oil change? really? I spoke with the manger, i wanted them to put my old filter back in and put my old oil back in my car. I wasn't going to pay for that. They tried to slip in a charge for some kinda super duper oil despite my repeated requests for nothing extra and just the standard oil change. The manager did reduce the price back to whatever teh standard oil change cost would be. I will NEVER go back here. I quite possibly will NEVER go to another Jiffy Lube. I can't stand the way they try to push any and everything on you. read more

I walked in and asked for service and the person there (manager?) said they were getting ready to close and couldn't. I said I thought they closed at 6:00. He said they do so they don't take any after 5:30. I said it was 5:20. Then I got the new, typical response: "we're short staffed" as I looked around him to note there were 4 employees there and no cars in the bay. Absolutely blown away. read more

I'm writing this as I wait for my car to get done. I was the 3rd person here at 8am when they opened. Just wanted a quick oil change and to replace a headlight and break light as the dealership usually takes half a day, I was budgeting 30-45 minutes coming to a place like this. With two bays open it would seem as if I'd be the second car in one of the bays. Understanding someone was in front of me, I knew it would be a little longer than normal. It took 1 hour and 10 minutes before they even opened my hood and 10 additional minutes before they came inside to talk to me about options I had. The employees were friendly and appeared to be working hard, however, there does not seem to be any sense of urgency. My recommendation would be to create a service level agreement with your employees and customers. Have them inform your customers of approximate wait times from the moment they are greeted so they aren't left wondering why it's taking longer than normal. Set the expectation up front. Perhaps over estimate the wait time so you can pleasantly surprise your customers when the service is completed faster than normal. As I have waited here, two other patrons have expressed their concerns as well with the wait time. It is now nearly 9:45 and I have been informed my car will be done in "just a couple of minutes" as an employee used the restroom. I hope that is right. read more

I would think they wouldn't want a waiting room full of people and would want their customers to feel more comfortable and safe while waiting. I guess I was wrong. I would give zero stars if I could! I walked in with a coupon (not expired!) and they told me I needed a specific type of oil change to use the coupon. Ok, I said. Sounds good. My coupon was for a $19 oil change, with the specific type of oil listed on the coupon. They quickly did my oil change, but at the end attempted to charge me over $100!!!!! Saying the "coupon wouldn't work in the computer." This is why i gave my coupon up front!!! I told them the coupon says $19. They told me there was nothing they could do because they couldn't get the computer to give me the discount. I NEVER EVER would have even come here without the coupon!!
