I was hopeful that this visit would begin to change my opinion about this establishment. But it did not. It was a long time after pulling up that someone even greeted me. And it was not at all busy. Loud music playing in the shop. Pretty unprofessional. Worst of all, I looked at the receipt after driving away and realized that they had mis-identified the vehicle and thus, installed the wrong amount of oil and possibly the wrong filter. I had to return and spend more time discussing the situation (had to talk to three people). None of the seemed to understand the problem. Last of all, there was a note that it was not possible to clean up the oil spilled during the work due to vehicle design. This, of course, is BS. In all, This was a bad experience which included lots of mistakes and unprofessional behavior. read more

I had an excellent experience here. Since it's CoVid times, I've been neglecting my car so I haven't been driving it much..... my battery was definitely dying on me and giving me red flags while I've let my oil change go for months beyond the recommended times. I was taking some friends out to a long hike so I wanted to make sure my car would make it there and back without a problem. I had already bought a battery from Costco (best value) and thought I could change it myself.....come to find that I definitely did not have the tools to do it. All the other places I looked were closed (this was a Sunday morning, plus during CoVid) but luckily, this place was open early and still functioning! I called to get a quote and the man said no problem, he'll take care of it. I was a little doubtful about it but once I got there, there was no wait, I rolled up, they changed my oil, got my battery changed, and topped off my windshield fluid and boom, done in like 20 mins. Amazingly, I looked at the receipt and they didn't even charge me for the battery replacement!!! What?? That's unheard of. They were all so nice - I used a $13 off coupon for the oil change and everything. I hate dealing with car stuff because I don't know what anything else and I usually feel like the mechanics and shops try to fool me (been fooled many times before) so I'm always suspicious and cautious. I always go here for my oil change because I can rely on how quickly they can get it done. The staff is knowledgeable, welcoming, and efficient. I also greatly appreciate their transparency and honestly. For example, they checked out my air filter, took the time to take it out and show me what it looks like. They said based on a scale of red, yellow, and green, that my air filter was at a yellow and didn't need to be immediately replaced but would recommend in the near future. In addition, they didn't carry the air filter for my vehicle but gave me clear, concise instructions on how to easily get one. Really great group of people working here that seem to genuinely enjoy their work. I enjoyed not having to leave my car while they worked on it. Gotta give this place props! read more

Very friendly and hard working team at this Jiffy Lube location. I came in for an oil change on a Thursday around 11:30am and I only waited 5-10 minutes. I was also offered free tire rotation since that was the special they had going on. They let me know that their new structure is similar to a drive through service, which makes things more efficient for both parties, but they also have the option for you to wait in their lobby if you don't want to be in your car during the service. I believe I spent about 20- 25 minutes total. The assistant GM was very friendly and informative. He provided me with receipt/ paperwork with the names of those who worked on my car and went over important details relating to my oil change. Overall very happy and will be coming back. read more

I went in on Monday before a long trip down the Oregon coast, and VERY grateful I did. I didn't catch the fellow's name who helped me, but a wire had been chewed through and I had no idea! He repaired it for me for free, and also replaced all of my sparkplugs and took the time to show me how burnt out my old ones were. Great experience today for a quick oil change. The two mechanics today Ruiz and Michael were super efficient and communicated each step clearly. The whole team worked together very well even just observing them for a few minutes. Someone was in the bay below the car to change the oil while the other checked tire pressure and checked the filters and other oil levels. Everyone was in constant motion. Due to Covid, you do stay in your car during the entire process. I only had to crack my windows the tiniest bit to answer questions and to hand over payment at the end. Definitely was one of the smoothest and quickest oil changes I've had in a long time. read more

Tried to get my oil changed today and my fluids checked. But they were more focused on talking to each other, sweeping and being rude to customers so when they told me to pull forward, I did but because of their rudeness, I just pulled straight through and did not stop because I did not want to get talked down to or treated like crap like they were with the other customers. I said never mind don't want to get treated like the other and I was told well that's on you. Great customer service NOT. This has been my neighborhood location for the past several years. I haven't had too many issues with them. I usually try and come in right when they open as they do not take reservations, it is first-come-first-serve. Usually services are somewhat speedy and they let you know what they recommend or what things need to be replaced coming up. I like how it is a one-stop-shop for so many things. Only one time did they forget to tie up the bottom of my car (not really sure what happened?) and a large piece of plastic was dragging/scrapping on the street it was very scary and I took my car in right away and they fixed it. read more

Please note that I am a decades long Jiffy Lube customer and with only the exception at the Northgate location on one occasion, I have been consistently impressed by the above and beyond customer service and efficiency in Seattle and in the surrounding areas, and in other states while traveling. However, I went to the Northgate location in mid June to get one of my tail lights replaced. The technician who 'helped' me was VERY distracted by his dog, by another customer whose car he was possibly wanting to buy. He took a very long time to change my tail light, then forgot to finish and collect payment. I overheard him saying that he was going to 'call out sick' the next day to go out of town. Another gentleman--very professional--completed the transaction and apologized for the terrible service (i wonder if the other guy had untreated ADHD!). I am not one to complain, however. Until....i learned while on a road trip a couple of weeks later, that my tail light was NOT fixed!!!!! I went to the Lake City Way location and the very competent team there figured out that the wrong build had been installed at the Northgate location. They apologized and did not charge for that part of their service. Jiffy Lube as a whole is a GREAT organization. The NG location must be looked into, however. I can only guess that I'm it the only one who has a bad experience there. read more

The mechanics here are always very nice to me and it never feels like they are talking down to me. They always explain what they are wanting to do, then let me know the price. I also like how they explain things that I don't know to me in a way that doesn't belittle me (which tends to happen at other mechanics). Everybody is always so friendly! read more

There is nothing jiffy about this lubrication. I was in a line of two cars that were ahead of me and it took them an hour and 15 minutes to get through two oil changes. Right before I was about to pull in, they had finally decided to let me know that they would likely not be able to complete an oil change for me as they have run out of stock. Mind you, they saw me sitting there for the last hour and 15 minutes and could've easily walked over and said that German vehicles have had a hard time getting oil changes because of a shortage So that I wouldn't need to waste my time sitting there. Definitely won't be coming back to this location again. read more

Impressed with the chain store. I usually go to the Jiffy Lube in Ballard but took a chance with the guys here. I was very glad I did. They were fast, good, and very friendly. And they had a great deal going on too. So I was pretty happy about that too. The waiting room is still depressing, but the other people waiting too were just as nice as the staff. And it's right next to the QFC so it's easy to blow 10-15 minutes there. This is probably my new place to go since it' s closer to home. read more

I should have had my oil changed as soon as I made my 2200 mile journey here this fall, but got caught up in school. I didn't really know where to go, but back home jiffy lube was pretty good. I researched a few places, and Northwest Automotive gets a lot of good reviews but I had to make an appointment there a few days out. Since I wanted my oil changed as soon as possible and was making my way out to Target anyway I decided to stop here. They told me it would be about 35 minutes overall but they seemed to get to my car in about 10-15 mins and the oil change seemed like it was only 10 minutes. Anyway, it went by pretty fast. The service was very nice the whole time and while they explained extra services that would be beneficial for my car, did not try to pressure me at all. Not that its a big deal, but there are a couple of cute ladies working there too, so guys can get something out of the "lube job" as well! The price was $40 and that included filling various fluids, vacuuming, and airing my tires up. I had a short stint on the highway to test it out and so far everything's running fine. I have to admit that I like that they don't make me drive the car over the pit myself like they do back home. Target/Jiffy Lube combo runs might become a 3 month tradition! read more

I'm a loyal jiffy lube customer, but I won't return to this location. There's a balance between selling extra services/products to the customer and simply not caring to offer any suggestions at all. These guys just don't care. My oil change was probably done in about 10 minutes. They went through basically nothing when I was done. Only after getting home and reading through my receipt did I learn that my brake fluid was low. Is this not included in one of the free top-offs? I went to another location 4 months ago and there was a lot of suggestions that they made that this location didn't even look at. Also, the girl who rang me up was nice, but didn't seem to be very knowledgable. She couldn't answer any questions with any confidence. If you don't know the answer to a customers question, you should ask your coworker. My advice... Drive down to University Village if you can. Also... Always use a coupon!! They always seem to charge me up the butt every time I come for an oil change. Whenever I expect just a simple oil change, that never seems to be the only thing I get, but I guess I don't feel too bad because my car hasn't broken down on me yet... *knocks on wood* I'm usually pretty consistent about frequenting Jiffy Lube at Northgate every time since it's close to home. They've always been friendly and yes, they try to sell you extra services but they will back down if you insist on your original decision. I prefer Jiffy Lube because I know they'll vacuum my carpets and though this may be a service that should be free anyway, I'm lazy and like it when others do it for me so it works out here. Oil changes are usually 20-30 min and one time, I even had it done in like 15 minutes, I was uber impressed. There's a bunch of stores you can check out if you're the impatient type, QFC, Costume Store, Walgreens, etc... not a bad location, if you ask me. read more

I usually go to the JL in Downtown, but decided to try this location for the first time. Drove up, no appointment needed, stayed in the car the entire time. Entire process took no more than 15 minutes. The guys here all work together as a team and communicated everything well amongst each other and to myself. The lead guy took out my air filter and pointed out that it needed to be changed. He said they'd install it free of charge if I went out and brought a new one back. Stopped by O'Reilly Auto Parts and came back and they installed it. That was a nice addition to the already great service I got from the oil change. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! these people are not experts, they will literally steal your money and blow smoke up your ass about refunding you. they stole $250+ from me by performing the wrong service on my car (replaced spark plugs for a grinding noise i kept hearing while accelerating). i ended up going to another jiffy lube out of town, who luckily had a honda expert on staff and got the grinding noise fixed. honda expert also sent me home with a list of codes that my dash showed, which indicate the exact problems that initially needed fixing. honda expert said i should go back to the northgate jiffy lube, show them the codes so they have the reference for the future & can educate their techs, and get a refund because i paid $250+ at northgate to get jack shit fixed. so i went back to the northgate location to request a refund. at the time their phones were out (for months on end) so i physically had to drive to the northgate shop (about 10 times), wait in line and ask someone about a refund. the guys would tell me the same thing every time - apologize, say they understand my frustration, take my information, promised me they'd call their cash department, one time the guy even said he knows where the cash department lead lives and would personally go visit her after they closed shop to initiate a refund. every time they assured me they'd get my refund to me, no one got back to me, and i had to drive back to ask about it again. i then emailed jiffy lube customer service 5 separate times, and each time got a generic robo-response with a claim number. the emails were all identical. i couldn't get through to a human via the email (the general customer service one listed on the JL site). i was fed up at this point & looked up the franchise company which is based out of texas, contacted the owner (john allison) + his assistant (scott rodriguez) via phone and email multiple times, who both promised to escalate the issue and email me a tracking number for a check. at this point i was completely ghosted. the craziest part was that every single time i spoke to anyone tied to the northgate shop, they all were kind, acknowledged my issue and sympathized with me. i even disputed the charge with my credit card (discover) who ended up rejecting it because no one from jiffy lube would respond to discover's investigation attempts!! they have severely inconvenienced me over the course of several months (now years, since this happened in 2021 and i'm STILL chasing my refund) having to do all the aforementioned legwork. they have no integrity from the shop staff right up to the franchise owner. they completely took advantage of me and lied to my face for months. i'm currently in the process of taking this wack ass shop to small claims court. seriously unbelievable, seriously shitty business model & morals here. my attached photo speaks for itself read more
