Alan was really helpful, gave me the number of a tow company and even said he would wait for my car to get up even though they were almost closed. He got me a new battery straight away the next morning and registered it for warranty so I wouldn't be stuck again! Love this place! Seriously wish I could find a general mechanic who is half as nice and trust worthy as these guys. I always get my oil changed here, but recently have had to get check ups in between because of a crack in my overflow tank causing my coolant to leak a bit. Unfortunately my vehicle is a JDM and requires specific parts, so while I hunt around for a good mechanic and a decent priced tank, I just have to keep an eye on my fluid. The guys at this place have checked all my fluids numerous times free of charge, did a battery test for me when my meter was shorting out, always get me in within 5 minutes of rolling up (at like 4:30 pm, it seriously blows me away) and are always super helpful with any questions I might have. I showed a $10 coupon I screentshot to the guy in charge but he was not aware of the promo (insisting it must be a USA promo) so I had to search where I got it so I got a bit anxious. I almost wrote a positive review for this place... until I drove out of the garage. I don't know what was wrong with my brain the moment I decided to drive in here for service. There are constant warnings all over different review sites for all the big chain drive-up oil change places. Instead of heeding the countless warnings I opted for convenience. My mistake. The environment is not very welcoming or clean. The guys working there were nice enough, just nice enough to upsell the hell out of you. I ended up opting for a transmission fluid change, and could not believe the price they quoted me. Not only that, but they performed a flush of the system (not recommended for my vehicle). Now my engine is noticeably louder. Who knows what else is wrong with it after the 30 minutes they had with it. Who do I have to thank? The wonderful staff at Jiffy Lube. I live in a small town outside of Vancouver, but when I've needed an oil change I make sure to stop in to Jiffy Lube when I'm in Vancouver. The service is reliable and extremely efficient. My vehicle leaves vacuumed, windows washed and they make recommendations based on what they find as they perform my oil change. These places are usually franchises, so the quality of service may vary from location to location. Of course they try to sell you extra fluids that you likely don't require, (aside from oil & filter if that's all you want). That's their business model. They'll hold up your various dipsticks to a piece of clean white cloth and show you that the fluid is dirty or say, a rusty color (transmission or coolant for example). Of course it is, that's normal wear for almost every component. But you can say no, I want just an oil change & filter; don't fuss with the other stuff on top of, or underneath the engine. After all, it is your vehicle, not theirs. But they may not install the correct oil filter, or the correct substitute oil filter, for your engine, as the one specified in your owner's manual. Instead, they'll install whatever filter fits, that they have in stock. For some engines, this can result in damage, further down the road, depending on how long your interval is between regular oil changes. This is why I stopped going to Jiffy Lube. They installed the wrong filter twice in a row. I would sooner trust my own shop, where I know the people who are doing the repairs. Once upon a time, these quickie shops had their place. But today, excessive pressure from the manager to buy more than you need, is ruining any goodwill they might have generated years ago. Minute oil change shops are operating today, in an already oversaturated market. read more

I don't know why I never went here before. The prices are amazing and the customer service is a 10 out of ten. You sincerely feel that they are genuine when it comes to cross sell or up sells. I took a chance coming to this location after MR LUBE almost ruined my engine when they did a coolant service flush on it. After fighting with MR LUBE about the damage they did to my vehicle ( mechanically), they finally paid for the damage. After that, I tried out Jiffy Lube, right away I was greeted, by Alan ( the manager) and have had my whole fleet of vehicles serviced there for years now. NEVER one hick up, always prompt, dedicated honest service. I read the reviews here on the upsell stuff, but this location will "suggest" a product you could possibly benefit from, YOU as the consumer have the power to decline additional services, and I'm dissapointed that people would write a poor review based on that. Also, its a shop! NOT MACY's! So yes it will be a little dirty and the guys are working there all day on dirty car's, they will get dirty too, CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER SUFFERS HERE!!!!! I'm a genuine client of Jiffy Lube, I've seen them in action over the years, I speak with merit and honesty, THESE ARE THE GUYS YOU WANT to service your vehicle. Long term employees work here, that type of experience is important! Notice the price of services for OIL related items have gone up over the years? Because the OIL prices have gone up, not because the labour rate goes up. Also, think about this, a $150 transmission service will buy reliability, and a happy transmission for years to come. Don't spend the money to service that transmission or engine, it will cost you thousands to fix. Remember folks, and engine, transmission , differential are all machinery. Machinery requires oil , oil gets dirty and breaks down over time, you MUST service it! This is a location that provides PREMIUM service, excellent customer service, and always back their work up. My friend went in to have his squeaky brakes checked at this location. I knew the pads needed to be checked. They told him he also needed to replace his brake rotors. they wanted $400 so my friend called and I ask to talk to the guy and I asked him what is wrong with the rotors. He said they look worn out. I asked did the pads go metal to metal, have they been overheated and are they warped. He said no. So I kept asking what is wrong with the rotors then. He kept saying they looked worn out and should be replaced. I then told him I'm a Red Seal Auto Technician. I told my friend to just have the pads replaced. After I hung up they wouldn't do any work on his car. My friend went to another brake place and they told him he only needs brake pads. This shows Jiffy Lube at that location would have taken him for more money that he needed to spend. NOTE I have used this Jiffy Lube location for oil changes on my car with no issues except they kept leaving greasy boot prints on my carpet. This issue happened next door in the Jiffy Lube Brake bays. read more

Avoid this place at all costs,over 100 dollars for oil change ,didn't drain sump just filter and top up and damaged my exaust after i questioned it,aggressive up selling had to say 3 times just oil drained and filter before having to to stop the guy from cleaning my my car and then still charged for it ,oil was who knows what poured from filthy jar in short paid over 100 left with 200 dollars of damage and a top up to my oil if you care about your car go elsewhere read more

My experience with Alan at Jiffy Lube was terrific. I had a less than positive experience at a competitor shop and brought it here for follow up maintenance. They didn't try to up-sell me and made sure I was fully informed about everything my car needed (and didn't need) at the time. Alan even gave me a deal because I was getting a few services done at once. When I came back an hour later, the car was ready for me and they had cleaned it as well! I made the mistake of bringing in my almost new car here and it hasn't ran the same since. they upselled me to buy their synthetic fluid even tho my mechanic says I should not be using it. The one guy Alan made me feel like an idiot as he tried to upsell me a bunch of services that I don't need. And then they started my car and tried to pull it out of the garage with NO OIL OR FILTER installed. I suppose I'm partially to blame for not taking anyone elses warnings buy seriously tho, these guys lack knowledge skills and are way too pushy. I would never go here again. Took over an hour to replace two light bulbs and change the oil. They replaced one fog light then told me that the other one was out and needed to be replaced. I said that it was working when I came in...then it was magically working a few minutes later without needing to be replace.
