I have been here several times this year and many more times since my last review six years ago, so it is definitely time for a revision and upgrade to five stars. As a self-proclaimed old Forge style pizza expert from Scranton, I can say this place has found its stride and I would put them up against just about any place in Northeast Pennsylvania. Really fantastic red and double crust white pizzas and the wings have been among the best in the Harrisburg area. Let me say that again: awesome wings!!! In recent years, many places who I didn't think of so highly have upped their wing game and have impressed me. This is one of those places and the owners have been taking much pride in their food offerings and the restaurant itself. They are in the midst of a remodel of the basement bar in anticipation of football season. I can't wait for that to open and I will be making this one of my regular stops, especially because it's so close to home. Also, the brews are really good for a microbrewery. Went here for dinner with my gf, had reservations but when we walked in the server told us to just sit anywhere it didn't matter we didn't need them. The server did come right over to the table to get our drink order but when we took a minute to look over the extensive mixed drink menu, she didn't come back for a long while. Service in general was poor. Took FOREVER to get one pizza at our table, and not a huge pizza either. While the pizza was good, both of us commented on how the grease laid in our stomachs later. Trying to order take away food, to bring home to our husbands was next to impossible and took 20 minutes to get. The garlic Parmesan wings my husband didn't have enough sauce and really had no flavor. When a man won't eat a chicken wings you know it's bad. The mixed drinks were weak and the one I had tasted like nasty coffee medicine. I wanted to love this place, but couldn't. We've returned! The wife ordered a cup of chicken corn chili! She said it wasn't spicy but tasted good! We ordered a 6 piece single crust Rustico Pizza. Cheese, Pepperoni, Sausage, Green Peppers, Mushrooms & Onions! Our server was very pleasant and informative especially about the tap beers! Our Food came out hot and delicious! Jigsys prides themselves on Old Forge Style Pizza. This kind of Pizza is a square pie, slightly thicker, crunchier crust. I am more of a thin crust circular style personally, but this was still good. We got two styles, Pierogi Pizza and Hot Oil Pepperoni. The Pierogi Pizza was delciious, onions, cheese, Pierogis and crust in old forge style. Would definitely recommend this pie on a Friday during Lent! The Hot Oil Pepperoni pizza was good, but I don't think I would order it again. Very hot, the pepper oil sneaks up on you. We also tried the homemade meatballs (spectacular). Service was great. Unfortunately there was one waitress working bar and restaurant. Tough ask of an employee, she did awesome though! First time here. Heard a lot of good things, wanted to check it out. Plus, Wing Tour stop. They offer a special in wings for Wing Tour participants. First impressions: Small parking lot. Very tight. Small dining area, though another small area downstairs as well. Average noise level. Seat yourself. Food: Wings were very good. Cooked well, sauce was great. However, did charge me extra for the sauce I ordered...not sure why...never mentioned it when I ordered. Got the chicken bacon ranch sauce. Pizza was delicious. Really like the fact that they offer multiple sizes of pizza from a personal (3 cuts) to a medium (6 cuts) and a large (12 cuts). Square pizza with thick crust...awesome. Wife also had cheese bread which she really enjoyed. Service: our waitress was very nice, but quite slow. She wasn't bad just not very quick. Tonight, we checked out Jigsy's BrewPub for their wing night and gave the hot, spicy bleu cheese and honey BBQ flavors a try. Overall, the wings were solid--crispy with a generous amount of sauce. A few were slightly overcooked, but still a good value for the price. We'd definitely recommend their wing night. We didn't try much else from the menu, but the dishes we saw on nearby tables looked tasty and well-prepared. The restaurant itself was clean, and even the water tasted fresh (no hint of chlorine, thankfully). Our server was friendly, though clearly juggling a lot of tables at once. read more

Jigsy's offers a different twist on pizza and Italian food. The old forge style pizza is quite different then the traditional neapolitan and sicilian styles. The pizza and strombolis are ok, but a bit too much crust/dough for my style. They can be tasty, but not something I'd crave. I did enjoy the chicken cheese steak sub, which was very good-cooked perfectly and loaded with meat and cheese. They serve Hidden Still spirits which is a plus, but their house craft beers are a hard pass for me as they tasted very basic and little depth. read more

Traveling this weekend, stopped into Jigsy's brewpub for dinner. Not knowing the area, I turned to Yelp in hopes of finding a good dinner. It's a pretty casual atmosphere, small interior with big back patio. There only seemed to be two waitstaff on duty, they did the best they could for being short handed. I won't complain about that. They had a big mixed drinks list, but only 6 or 7 beer options, at least that the waitress could list from memory. I got a Buffalo chicken stromboli, which was ok, large, but kind of basic for fillings, just Buffalo chicken, and cheese...didn't seem to be any other fillings. So I decided to stretch my legs and walked around the neighborhood where we are staying at an airbnb in Enola. It looked nondescript but I saw two guys walking out holding a pizza box so I figured why not? First thing I noticed was there was a sitting area outside, a bar on the deck and as you enter the foyer, one of the young ladies said to sit anywhere I like. Very casual place. I noticed that there's been like about 5 patrons who already walked in to pick up their order in the last 15 minutes I've been there. Seems like it's a popular place among locals for pizza. There's also a couple of old folks sitting by the bar and they seem to have a good time. Music is typical in a pub, loud enough but not too loud to interrupt conversation or phone calls. Pretty clean place, interior and furniture is consistent with the exterior color scheme which is dark. Dana who was my server gave good information and was helpful in helping me decide what to have. I finally settled for a flat bread meatlovers with mushrooms thrown in as an extra request. Pizza came out fast, fresh and loaded. They didn't scrimp with the toppings so it has value for your money. Very friendly and attentive so service is on point. Wasn't able to use their toilet but I'll update everything when I do get the chance. Jigsy's is the absolute best for EVERYTHING! Basic dinner, birthday parties, and the catering is absolutely marvelous. If you've ever been you know, but they offer a Chick Fil J pizza that is always a crowd pleaser, the Stromboli ROCKS, and my personal favorite is their antipasto salad. I like to eat/drink at local establishments when traveling if possible. Reviews mostly very good for Jigsy's so I gave it ago the other night for dinner. Ordered the small portion of pirogies for a starter. Best I ever had outside the house. They properly sauté instead of deep frying and service them with plenty of sautéed onions and butter. Ordered the "3 cut" of the red Old Style pizza with mushrooms. That means 3 rectangular pieces from a square pizza. It was good but didn't bowl me over. Tried 2 of their house draft beers. Both fine. I sat at the bar to eat as I was solo. The female bartender was very friendly and seemed happy to be there. It was clear from the beginning that our server was a little overwhelmed. The table next to us got up and walked out because they were waiting too long. That being said, the pizza was worth the wait. This is a great example of Old Forge style pizza you simply don't find anywhere else in this part of the state. Don't sleep on the wings, which are also very good. The house brewed beers are just ok. I came here with my son on a day his school was closed. He had never tried old forge-style pizza, so I thought this would be a neat place to go for lunch. Our server was very friendly and super cool with my son asking for different things to drink. They have drink concoctions for children and he tried the cotton candy drink first. It was an impressive beverage and tasty! We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer and they were good, but the breading was a little spicy. We got three cuts of red with pepperoni for my son and three of double white for me. The red was very good and the pepperoni was plentiful. The double white was very filling, but didn't have as much flavor as pizza I've had in the old forge area. Some places in Scranton add onion on top and a little more herbs/spices and I like that better than plain. They have a nice draft beer list and plenty of seating. We went to Jigsy's last night with some other family members for dinner. We ordered the Buffalo chicken bread as an appetizer which was very good. Myself and my brother-in-law got the special which was a slow roasted beef sandwich. The roll was toasted and it was delicious. My brother-in-law agreed. My wife got the Greek salad with the parmigiana ranch. The salad and dressing were great. My son got wings which I tried one. He loved them! They were crispy, meaty, and cooked perfectly. The rest of my party were all very happy with their cheesesteak, meatball sub, and old forge pizza. I saw someone had a rustic pizza on the way out and it looked fantastic. That will definitely be on the list for the next visit, The service was quick and very good. We will definitely be back. read more

Looking for Old Forge pizza locally I was super pumped to find they sold it. I was hoping to reminisce of my childhood years when we would visit the Poconos and stop at a local Italian shop to pick it up. I was beyond thrilled when Jigsy's pulled through. This is the best pizza in the Harrisburg area. The crust is light and crunchy, not like most of the limp pizza around here. 'Sure wish they'd open a shop in Mechanicsburg or Camp Hill. We stopped by tonight to get take-out after calling every five minutes from the tournament were leaving only to get a "please tray again" phone message--and my husband tried and my teenage son who would have all loved to prove me wrong. Got the old forge pizza so that may be the problem but it was an hour wait. Person taking orders seemed upset when we mentioned that we didn't think the phones were working so to prove their point, took two phone calls and orders prior to ours. I know you think we probably unkind about letting them now but as we are extremely conscious of staff storage--it truly was trying to help since, as a business owner myself, I would want to know. Food was okay. Solid but wouldn't go out of way for an hour wait again. Edited to add: If you read the response by the owners to my review that was exactly our experience. This place used to have really good food and a nice relaxed ambiance. However it really has seemed to suffer post Covid with erratic hours and food not up to par with how it used to be. I was willing to give it another try but going back to the erratic hours, the last three times my family attempted to eat there, the place was randomly closed while listed online they were open. This used to be quite the destination place for people who wanted to try famous old forge style pizza but I can't recommend somewhere that cannot keep consistent hours. read more

Best Pizza and Brewpub bar none! This little treasure nestled in Enola has no competition in the world of Old Forge style pizza and Italian dishes homemade by the owners. The brewpub has delicious flavors of thirst quenching beer and even cocktails with a creative flair and great taste. Better than the inside ambiance with upgrades upstairs and down is the outdoor deck with live entertainment on weekends. Oh! Did I mention the excellent service? No? Well, that's unparalleled. I've never waited long for a drink, my apps, my main dish or any of the homemade luscious desserts including peanut butter pie which is to die for!! Love this place! And they cater... This past weekend I helped plan a Birthday Party for a few friends who had birthdays in January. We picked Jigsy's BrewPub and Restaurant for the location because they have recently added a new lounge downstairs. Their lounge is such a great addition to the restaurant! It was the perfect spot for our party! We had some friends who wanted to watch basketball and some friends who like games of chance so it was great entertainment for everyone invited. There was plenty of space for mingling and there were plenty of tables to sit, relax and enjoy the food. Speaking of food, the menu they handpicked for our group was fantastic! We had a variety of pizza, wings, Stromboli and their epic Antipasto salad. Our server Serenity did an amazing job keeping up with all our craft beer lovers and the owners are always super friendly and attentive. Pizza is good if you like the style. Wings were decent. The beer is trash - Double IPA tasted like bud light. Don't bother with the "Happy Hour" - it's restricted to the ghastly lounge located in the basement, and is severely understaffed. Ambience can best be described as "Grandpa's basement rec room meets bus station." Service was so bad, we were there for over two hours and managed to place exactly one drink order with our server. Eventually we had to go upstairs to the bar to get drinks, for which we were charged full price. We won't be back. read more

First tried Jigsys during lent for the Pagash pizza...oh my heavens was it amazing!! I wish they had this all year around but maybe its best they don't so I don't order it weekly! My Husband and I stopped by again to try some other menu items. Service was fast and friendly! I ordered a mixed cocktail flight, the berry flavor was my favorite (waitress said they were martinis but they reminded me more of margaritas). We ordered the antipasta salad and the Chick Fil J pizza. Jigsys has a full bar and their own brews to boot. The salad was absolutely delicious. Fresh greens,meats and cheese with just the right amount of peppers and dressing. It was balanced perfectly. The pizzas here are unlike any other. They are served on cafeteria style trays and come in "cuts" or pieces. The crust is crispy on the outside and chewy, almost deep dish but not quite. Its not greasy, perfectly airy but stands up to the toppings. Our pizza had garlic sauce, chicken, pickles and cheese. Again no ingredient overpowered any of the others, it was absolutely delicious! Not sure west cheese they use but its so melty and smooth and velvety! We cant wait to return and try more of their fantastic food and drinks. Definitely a great pizza spot! read more

Anybody who has known me a "really long time," knows... one of the first Pennsylvania-things I fell in love with way back in 1980 when I went off to Penn State (from NJ), was pizza from (Revello's, Salerno's etc) Old Forge, PA. We used to drive hours to get it because it was so... different. Cuts, not slices. Racks, not pies. ... and a flavor that is so distinct, it should actually be called something else. Well, it's been more than 33-years since I've tasted it. Now... Old Forge style pizza has come to Harrisburg's west shore - Enola, PA. On an old colleague's recommendation, I tried it today. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a catering order from this establishment. It was an informal party for 25 guests. The owners personally delivered the selections, which were superb. Our favorites were the antipasto salad, fresh fruit tray, meatballs, porketta, chicken piccata and, of course, Jigsy's Old Forge style pizza. Prices were reasonable, including for the chafing dishes that kept the entrees warm for four hours. You can't go wrong with this place! Awesome experience for our first time at Jigsy's! Having spent a majority of my life a few miles from Old Forge before relocating to the mid-state, I have had my fair share of Old Forge style pizza. Jigsy's pizza is LEGIT! My wife and I also ordered spicy blue cheese wings and an antipasto salad. I think these wings are some of my favorite in the area and the antipasto was excellent! There is a solid drink menu however my only knock on the place is that they only had two wines available. Our server was excellent! The place is small but very modern inside.
