I was charged $100 anyway --- with no solution nor clue what was wrong. The car cooled enough for me to drive it to Burk's the following day. Mystery air conditioner issue was solved and repaired. Also got my rear brakes replaced (overdue but because of hurricanes I had not taken care of it.) Burks's completed both jobs in one day at a fair price. Also saved me money by offering to let me return the next day to pay by check rather than absorbing an added credit card percentage. Friendly, punctual & clean. Thanks for great service! I will be back!

Saw FB ad advertising a rebuild for a 68RFE with a 2 - 3 days using your core for $1800. Messages…read moreSarkis and he said he could get it done and to send the transmission over. When I said the transmission was obviously still in the truck there was an added $1200 removal and installation fee. Including $800 for a billet torque converter. That was fine. I found the shop two hours away from where I live in Orlando because I was in a hurry to get my truck which I use for work daily. All the shops are around my area had a 2 to 3 week turnaround time. I explained the urgency, and I wanted to make sure the truck would be done quickly and correctly. I dropped it off April 23. April 23 - truck towed to shop. April 28 - tells me truck will be ready the next day, it isn't. Sep 2 - truck was ready 11 days later. Picked up RAM. Drove it 4 miles down the road transmission overheated. Check transmission fluid. It was not reading on the dipstick called both Brian and Sarkis after stopping at the auto parts store and filling over 6 1/2 quarts of transmission fluid before it registered on the dipstick. Leave truck to make sure transmission didn't cook itself when it over heated to 275° September 11 - I was told the transmission was fixed. picked up RAM. Made a few miles down I-75 before the same TCC code popped up that I sent the truck in for. Oct 23 - Drove the truck back off after it sitting at home while I was out of town work renting a vehicle this entire time. Nov 10 - Brian said the truck was ready so I picked it up at night. Drove it to exit 220 on I-75 and the TCC stopped locking up. This is the exact same issue I dropped it off with. I have now spent over $4k to have a rental car the entire time the truck wasn't able to be driven or while at Burks. I've paid 3 months of commercial insurance on my truck at $562 a month for a total of $1686 and not driven it. Paying for an Uber from Orlando to Sarasota. I've lost contracts due to not being able to haul equipment needed for jobs. There is absolutely nothing they are willing to do to fix this. Ive never dealt with adult as unprofessional and disrespectful as Sarkis. Brian has tried to do what he can in his power I guess but I'm still left out of almost 10k in this whole ordeal and still have the truck exactly the same way as when I took it to them. The pictures are of the ad, the issue when I picked it up September 2 of the transmission overheating. And the communication between Sarkus and myself, and how he responded to me being frustrated which I had all right to be. Save yourself the aggravation and save yourself the money do not use this shop if Sarkis is involved. He made sure to ask me to Zelle him payment, so I have no recourse at getting my money back. I did have them also work on my jeep and they left the four bolts to the shifter, completely loose and it leaked transmission fluid when I picked it up from them because I had taken both my vehicles to them.

I used my diagnostic tester to try to determine what the problem was. The tester indicated that there was a misfire in one of the cylinders. I finally reached Cruz Auto Repair in the late afternoon. Corey replied back that he could come to the house between 6 & 8 that evening (Sunday). Corey came at about 6:45 and immediately began to diagnose the issue and found that the cylinder had a bad spark plug. We talked about a price and I decided to have Corey change all the plugs. which he did. running a test again, he found that one of the coils was also bad. Since it was late at night, after 8 PM and the auto parts store was closed, we discussed a price and agreed that Corey would come back the next morning with a new replacement coil. Corey came back the next morning and replaced the coil and now the car is working just fine. From the start, Corey showed knowledge of auto repairs, did exactly what he said he would do for the price that he quoted each time. I would highly recommend Cruz Auto Repair for all repairs. Thank you Corey.

Want a true long ADHD non bot non fiction story? I bought a foreign vehicle in late 2019 that does…read morerequire a professional especially if you're not 100% sure you can tackle it yourself. It was really hard to find a place that I didn't know even where to look to address this car. So I found Swanson and man named John ran it, always had solid service, good quality without hurting my wallet. Now here comes the story so bear with me. John was class and did great work and if you took your vehicle to Swanson before 2022 you most certainly had great service too. Unfortunately he had to tend to family back in England, I believe it was his dad that was sick and sold the place to guy named Steve AKA piece of shit. That MFer, took over and ran it into the ground in less than 3 or so years, while having my car for 8 months as he totally screwed people and thank god not he's the owner anymore. A new owner bought the place and replaced Steve who was stealing tools and buying stuff on store credit which he didn't own anymore and was immediately fired and replaced by Chris. He is the new management and we had some interesting conversations in the time we have known each other. Never had arguments and honestly if he didn't inherited a shitstorm there would have been only positive talk and has done everything he can to a degree to help me all because of the 2nd owner Steve messed up big time. I've brought 3 vehicles up there including the one I'm talking about now and besides the fluid change of diff, trans, and oil he's not charging me for removing and correctly reinstalling front end by securing the underside from the front splitter, which has seems to have been a problem even though I got the car like that and had no issues till Steve. So Chris will secure the plastic under trays as I bought the hardware and he's changing both TPS sensors as well as doing an other alignment which I did pay for and one sensor but will redo it and pay for the second sensor and do it free of charge like he originally told me months back concerning this car and guarantee his work. He originally said he would help reinstall my car and not charge me labor if I supplied the materials which I honestly wasn't extremely happy about as I was upset with Steve the previous owner as he charged me and left my car worse than when I dropped it off so it took time with Chris and I. I wasn't mad at him I was just mad and pissed off and he was the only one I could present this to. Btw this car has a long story but that's another story.... So I brought one vehicle and another and slowly started moving in a positive direction. I can attest that he is honest and does guarantee his work as we unfortunately had a mishap on top end repair and it wasn't even his fault but since the vehicle was in his possession he replaced the whole motor and redid everything for no cost. Now don't look to get a free ride or try and take advantage because first that's wrong and second if he refuses something then he has a very, very good reason. I have brought him domestic and non domestic vehicles and they have done superb work plus he's really easy going and not gimmicky. He's got a good tech in the back which unfortunately I always forget his name for some stupid reason but he's really thorough. So he has held his word as I'm patiently waiting on my car now and it will be done even sooner than I thought, will give updates on how the car looks and drives. Oh and Swanson has a phenomenal deals on batteries so don't go to discount or auto zone. Chris saved me over $100 when I mentioned in conversation that I needed a battery for my truck at the house. So Swanson is whole again!!! Look for conclusion to my car very soon.
