DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I was in an accident and took my 2014 Terrain to the collision center for repairs for a rebuilt left side bumper and some passenger door damage. For one, it took almost 6 weeks to fix just bumper damage and a door panel. For two, not ONCE did they call me with an update. I had to call every single time and they continued to make excuses with me telling me the car would be ready the next day or the end of the week and time just kept going with ZERO UPDATES. Finally when I did get the car back, the work looked RUSHED and was VERY BADLY DONE. Just look at the pictures. Inside above tire was ruffled all the way around. Purchased a 2024 Yukon Denali over Mother's Day weekend 2024. Great sales transaction in and out. Ordered all weather mats for the Yukon a few weeks later. The rear cargo liner was on back order so not exactly sure when I got my hands on that. However, it's been longer than the hardman 15 day return policy maybe 45 days. (I learned of that when I tried to return the rear cargo liner). The rear cargo liner is a poor design doesn't stay put. Moved around even when installed with velco attachments. I've got 3k miles on my yukon and the cargo liner was basically new. Through this transaction it's clear this business only cares about the bottom dollar and NOT the customer! I will never step foot on that property again even when it comes to my first service that's free. I'll pay if needed and take it somewhere else. Worked with Bob Sierra on an order for a 2025 GMC Yukon XL. He mentioned that they had one in my configuration already on order with GMC so I put down my deposit on it. After doing some research with GMs help, turns out that the one that they had on order was not the XL model. Reached out to Bob to confirm, never once did he apologize or acknowledge the screw up. I asked him to check when they would have another build slot available and let me know. In the mean time, let me know when the non-XL model comes in so we can look at it and see if it would fit our needs. After finding out that the vehicle had been delivered to the Jim Hardman, I reached out to Bob again to verify this and to come see it and he informed me that it was already sold. They sold the vehicle that I had a deposit on to another customer. Once again no acknowledgement or apologies, no concern whatsoever over the screwup. No attempts to make it right. Additional update - I got several calls from Jim Hardman based upon my review (see below) and they were very willing to do what it takes to make me happy, so they will be writing up a check to me for all of the expense of the sir filter and diagnostic check. Bought a Cadillac SRX luxury used vehicle last Saturday. After one day, the navigation stopped working. Called another dealership in my area to have it serviced. I contacted Jim Hardman about the navigation system not working. They haven't contacted me back. I believe they are seeing me as a customer who will not be a repeat buyer since I do not live in the Update: also got a check engine light after first week of purchasing the car. According to Richard Kay Chevrolet in Anderson, SC, the air filter needs to be changed and that is triggering the check engine light. They also said that this is unusual for a dealership not changing dirty air filters when selling used vehicles. read more

False advertisement. They DO NOT check your break pads during an oil change. Horrible customer service. Jeff was not helpful what's so ever. I've been going there for 7 years and no one had ever mentioned anything to me about my break pads. On a Saturday I had an appointment for an oil change. Upon arriving I ask Jeff to let me know how my break pads are. After they complete the oil change they tell me I'm at 3mm. I go ahead and make an appointment to get them changed that same week (Wednesday). The day of that appointment we dropped off my vehicle and Jeff calls to tell me I will need rotos as well. Now my balance would be double making it $500+ taxes. I was not happy. I asked Jeff why no one ever informed me when my break pads were at 5mm or even 4mm. Now I'm having to come out of pocket even more money because they never did they're job in informing me that I would be needing break pads soon. He could not give me a solid answer. He never apologized nor did he attempt or even try to do anything for us despite the huge inconvenience due to people not doing their job. We canceled the service and decided to take our business somewhere else. When we went back to pick up my car, Jeff informed my husband that the break pads were actually at 5mm. That supposedly Saturday when we got the oil change, the tech was new and didn't measure correctly. This was baloney. The next day we took it to get break pads and rotors elsewhere and we asked how are break pads were and they were at 2-3mm. After being loyal customers for 7 years with 2 vehicles, we will no longer be taking our business to a place that lies to its customers and falsely advertises that they check your breaks along with an oil change. Brought my truck in for an oil change , tire rotation, replace broken rear light lens and a brake job. Tommy found that there was a recall they could do while they had the truck. They gave me a ride back to our house and picked me up when it was done. I found out that there were leaking seals they found and the dealer replaced them under warranty. I bought a Terrain Denali form Jim Ellis in 2013. I had regular service at Hardman GMC in Gainesville, with the last oil change at 96,369 miles. The check engine oil light came on at 100, 342 miles, just after driving 3973 miles after the last oil change. Service at Hardman GMC changed oil, added a restorer, ordered sensors, replaced them, delaying diagnosis for over a month, all the while telling me it was ok to drive if I checked the oil. Now it needs a new engine. Jim Ellis is trying to get GM to honor the warranty. I haven't had any response from Jim Ellis service, except for an offer to pay 10% of an engine. I will continue to post, hopefully with GMC doing the right thing. A car engine should last longer than 100,342 miles. read more

Very disappointed with the service after the sale. Terrible communication and very little help regarding getting the title and tag after we purchased our new car. If you say you are going to call somebody back then please do it. Due to Mark Bradley's poor communication skills I have now been to the tag office 7 times in the past 45 days and my tag is still not ready even after he told me it should only take 2 weeks. I made an appointment to have them do some warranty work on my wife's car that they said would take "4, maybe 5 days" and they've had it for over 3 weeks now! In that time they've told me they'd call right back with an update 10 times and have never once called me back, ever. They refuse to give me a loaner car because "they are all in use right now" and we have been getting by with one car for 2 weeks longer than expected thus far. I've spoken to 5 different people there, and left a message for the service manager who has also not called me back and they still have my car! They are the most unprofessional business I've ever dealt with and I've run across some doozies before! I would highly NOT recommend ever using them for anything! read more

Worst experience ever. I feel that I was ripped off. The issue I had when I took my vehicle in, when I picked it up still had the problem. Talk to service manager and supervisor, both agreed that I still had the same original problem. I had to pay a deductible as well as the warranty paid them for work that wasn't needed. In the end I was told that my warranty would not cover the ACTUAL work that was needed. I wAs totally unhappy would not recommend my worst enemy to this dealership for service! read more

Since there is no separate post for the service department, I'll post my review here. I have zero trust for their service. My parents have purchased several cars from here so I'd expect good service when I take my car in. I took in my 2002 GMC Yukon for squeaking sound while breaking, and was told nothing was wrong. 3 months later I returned with a grinding sound... Had to replace all 4 break pads and rotors (a proper diagnosis could have spared the rotor work). Took it back in a few months later for check engine light. Spent $1200 on new fuel pump, and said everything else looked good.... 2 weeks later found out I needed new catalytic converter, new hoses and new radiator. Did the service group even check out the rest of the car. Needless to say, I stopped going here. This place is going downhill. read more

I would give this place less than a star if I could. The salesman I was working with was very just sly about everything he did. I had asked him to run the numbers on two different trucks I was interested in and he decided he was just gonna start my paper work and financing on the truck they had on the lot for the longest time. Tried to do their financing through three different places without asking me and each place dinged my credit. I felt like they were dishonest and what the trucks were listed as mileage wise online and what they actually were on the truck was a huge difference. Very poor service, bought a $60,000 truck from these people, my wife was unloading our old truck with a box she brought with us and the finance lady accused my wife of stealing box out of her office while we were in there signing the paperwork. She brought this attention to salesman as we were fixing to pull away. Very distasteful of the woman and humiliating for my wife, if paperwork had no just been completed I would have walked away from the truck I came to buy. I found a truck online and handled many of the details over the phone before driving to Georgia as I'm from of state. When I went to drive it the next day three attention lights came on- when I called I was told that this was because they had changed the battery and since no codes came up It seemed legit - key word seemed - after correcting a transmission problem, speed sensor and EGR valve not to mention six hundred dollars later - I can only hope that it is finally fixed. My car is STILL currently in the shop...3 weeks later. The body shop personnel have been amazing. Great customer service and communication. The service department however, is EXTREMELY lacking in all areas. Poor customer service, condescending, poor communication, no sense of urgency, etc, etc, etc. I went by this morning to communicate directly with the service manager to see what is taking so long. The needed parts were sitting over in the body shop, and the manager informed me (multiple times and as though he were speaking to a mentally impaired person) that as soon as they moved the parts from 'here to here' (indicated from the body shop to the service department...approx. 50 feet), that they would get started on my car. When I informed him that my car had already been there for 3 WEEKS, he said it was 'definitely at the top of the list'. This was said as 3 other vehicles were lifted up and being worked on while mine was still firmly on the ground. (Perhaps these cars have been here longer than mine?!?!?). UNACCEPTABLE....hopefully will get my car back before 2014. BEWARE!!! read more
