I will always come back because they make sure that I'm set and have what I need. I have been coming here for almost two years, and this has been the only optometrist that I actually trust. I'm always super skeptical when it comes to healthcare professionals since I've had so many horrible experiences. But this place is awesome! It MIGHT be because of Debbie (she helps at the front), but she never fails to make me feel appreciated as a customer. If I ever need anything or something has happened to my contacts, she is so fast in helping me out. I had my glasses done here as well and it's hard for me to have glasses because I have astigmatism as well. I let them know I couldn't see very well with my new glasses, and they were very quick to address it. It wasn't their fault (one second I see well, the next I don't) but it was nice to have an optometrist be receptive to my concerns.

I had first visited this office two years ago and was seen by Dr. Weiss.  The entire process, from…read moreexam to fitting of my new glasses was flawless.  Times have changed drastically. It started with my new exam, but a different doctor.  The exam, itself, seemed alright.  When my new glasses came in a week later, things went downhill quickly.  I was handed them, asked to look around and then dismissed.  As the afternoon went on, I struggled to focus.  I also discovered several scratches on both lenses.  I called the next day to request to be re-examined, along with having the lenses replaced.  The doctor admitted to bumping up my prescription because of my elevated astigmatism.  A completely new setup was ordered. I was called two weeks later and, again, handed the glasses, asked to look around and dismissed.  I didn't take the time to look at the lenses carefully.  When I got home and went to clean them correctly, I noticed the left lense looked as though it had been cleaned with sand paper.  I've owned my previous pair for two years and they have not a scratch on them. I took them back in, with an attitude.  They said they would address the issue promptly.  Two weeks later, I'm told they are back.  I asked them to inspect the lenses before I wasted time coming back in.  Three hours later, I get a call to inform me that the lab applied the earlier prescription.  I was told I would receive some form of reimbursement.  It never happened. It took another three weeks to get them back, and they were wrapped in foam.  The office assistant informed me that the lab supervisor inspected and wrapped them personally.  As she was the only person in sight, I was handed a set of ill-fitting glasses that drove me crazy. Costco was amazing with the little time it took to fit and adjust them. I cannot recommend Main Street Optometry at all.  As so many reviews have stated, the level of quality and customer service has gone downhilll dramatically.  Warranty withstanding, I will not be returning.

First off we weren't told the Dr Weiss wasn't going to be the Dr. We should have been notified and given the option of the other Dr, after all this is a medical visit. This is Covid and I saw the tech Sara in the room behind the reception area with her mask pulled down. I should have left right then and there. When it came to my turn, I asked her to keep it pulled up tight. The eye exam was uneventful the Dr seemed very disinterested. The optician was fine though. But picking up the glasses was horrible. The receptionist handed them to us. We had to ask for them to be fitted. We both said the glasses are wrong. The receptionist said try it but my husbands RX is so wrong he can't see well from one eye and the lenses are size of hideous coke bottles. They are remaking them. As for me every thing is fuzzy. The receptionist said try it. Well today I'm dizzy I can't wear them, I've tried. I've worn glasses for 51 years this is ridiculous. I have no faith or even want to go back to this place but I have to. I'd rather 100% my money back. I've called my insurance company. OBTW they slip in the return policy into the the paperwork after you pay without saying what the return policy is.

He is incredibly professional and caring with his patients…read more He's very knowledgeable and provides a great diagnosis and care plan if you aren't sure what the issue is, which was my case. For my visit I came in with my eyelid already swollen like a cherry tomato (I'll just let you use your imagination). Dr. Alborzian took one look at me and immediately knew I needed something called a chalazion removal (actually, I dare you to look it up). He provided me with instructions to massage the chalazion to reduce the swelling before he would drain it (disgusting, I know), because at its current state draining would be excruciatingly painful. However, since Thanksgiving was just around the corner, I didn't want to wait and have a cherry tomato for an eye when visiting my family, so I asked Dr. Alborizan to move forward with the procedure. I scheduled a follow up appointment, and he was right, it was incredibly painful - but I was in and out in about 45 minutes and grateful to have my eyelid back. Overall I had a great experience! Everything was very quick and efficient, and reasonably priced for the quality of work you receive! Dr. Alborizan is upfront and provides the best options for you.

On the positive side, the surgeon performed a good job. However, I encountered significant issues during the pre-operative process. The staff member responsible for my IV insertion lacked the necessary proficiency, which resulted in a painful injury to my hand; a different staff member eventually had to step in to complete the procedure. Additionally, I found the administrative process to be quite disorganized and inefficient. Having received excellent care from surgeons back home in the past, I felt the quality of support and administrative coordination here did not quite meet that same standard. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it will help the center improve their patient care and internal processes.

She is so nice, gentle, and reassuring. She talks you through everything she's doing and really takes the time that you need as her patient. Dr. McIntyre isn't the only great thing about Accent on Eyes. Her staff is also super nice. I had to go back a few times - exam, pick up glasses, pick up sunglasses, and then I had a mystery "issue" with my sunglasses. I felt like they were "off." Like my depth perception was off and they gave me headaches and threw off my balance. It was weird. The ophthalmologist didn't see anything "wrong" with my sunglasses, but he ordered new lenses for them anyway. They never once said anything like "give it some time and you'll get used to it." They really listened to everything I said, and never made me feel stupid or annoying. Once the lenses were replaced, the sunglasses were great! I was completely impressed with everything. Even though my experience wasn't "perfect," the people at Accent on Eyes made the experience as good as it could possibly be. They were so nice and patient the whole time. They made sure I walked away completely satisfied and able to see! :-)

But I'm not an eye doctor, so perhaps they need all that stuff. It just seemed like there was too much and that it would serve the Dr and her clients to reduce and consolidate. Things also seemed a bit disorganized and the Dr a little scattered. And though I can relate, being a middle-aged woman myself, it didn't engender confidence. Perhaps this is a new location and they hadn't yet fully settled. In the end, I let myself be talked out of a pair of glasses that I still (weeks later) feel would have looked better on me. The pair the Dr and her receptionist (optician was out due to injury) talked me into are not my style. I suspect they thought my choice was too "hipster". Two main issues remain. 1. The cost: Even though we've had VSP insurance with various employers for years, this is the first time I used it and went with a VSP provider. These glasses without the insurance, Dr. McIntyre told me, would have been over $800! That's double my cost at non-VSP providers, which makes me think this, and perhaps other providers, pad the cost because there's insurance. After insurance, it was the same as I pay without. 2. The prescription: With these new specs my vision is not sharp; I feel like I'm always squinting to see clearly, which encourages wrinkles I was hoping to ease with a new Rx. There's just a general dullness or blurriness to my world that I didn't expect with new glasses. Usually, a new pair of glasses makes everything super sharp, but not with these. Dr. McIntyre said my vision had improved after comparing my old (a pair that was 2 Rx's ago). That should have set off some bells, I guess; my vision has NEVER improved -- nothing on the human body does. If I could afford it, I'd go back to Lenscrafters to see if they could "clear" things up for me. Summary: At Accent on Eyes, using VSP insurance I got insufficient vision correction & frames I don't like for around $400. (Without insurance last year, I got frames I like & clear vision for around $400.) Sorry, Dr. McIntyre.
