Jimi's gets 5 stars from me for always selling fresh produce and not ripping customers off.

Friends, and lots of chefs I know in the area, avoid bc of this specific reason. Diner had my original review taken down when I mentioned this? I usually repost and substract a star when this happens, but Diner does remain close to my heart. It does need to work on the consistency end of things, as with entrees in the $48 range (for real) everyone should know what they're doing. For the most part, they do. Remains a neighborhood fav.

The servers come directly to your table and they write down the menu for the day. The menu generally run American classics, but a bit more "chefy" than a run of the mill diner. Unfortunately, I think I came on an off day, as there were some miscues. The clam dish had a ton of potential, but was noticeably overseasoned, and I'm a self-proclaimed salt lover. It was mentioned that the pork chop was going to be medium to medium-rare, but what we received was in the edge of well done (and even burned on some ends). The burger and fries, though, were fantastic. A bit hit or miss, but I do want to come back as the menu is creative and I'm sure it would have been great on a better day.

The combinations of spices, sauces, and textures feel intentional and unique, especially with the South Asian influence throughout the menu. Portions are big, flavors are bold, and this is definitely the type of place you go when you want something indulgent and packed with flavor. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Tikkaville Sandwich One of the more interesting chicken sandwiches I've had. The tikka sauce, mint chutney, pickled onions, and coleslaw all come together in a way that really works. Flavorful, layered, and memorable. The Clucking Waffle Sandwich was spicy with more of a buffalo-style flavor than I expected. Definitely a lot to handle in sandwich form. Personally, I'd rather eat the chicken and waffle separately than together, but the flavor still hits. The Pataka Fries were another standout, saucy, flavorful, and loaded enough to almost be a meal on their own. Service: Quick and efficient, fits the fast-casual energy. Plates From My Visit: Clucking Waffle Sandwich Tikkaville Sandwich Pataka Fries In Conclusion: A bold and flavorful chicken spot with distinctive spices and creative combinations that stand out from the usual fast-casual lineup. Come hungry because the portions are no joke. Stamped by Elajas

Food: My Chicken Tikka was probably not the best choice, as I wasnt a fan with the abundance of sauce all over the burger, making it hard to taste and enjoy the actual chicken. While the fried were good and hot when served which I liked! Ambiance: seats are available and the space was pretty clean during my visit. Service: You can either order with a cashier or through the tablet available at the counter. After that you have 10 minutes or so of wait time before you get your food. I will definitely give this place another shot, but with a different order, like the smash burger or regular chicken burger. Then I will update my review

I also consider myself a pizza connoisseur, next to ribeyes, barbecue and key lime pie, I'm probably saying my fourth is pizza. It's totally different than Chicago pizza, and I think it's because of the water I really do!!! What separates pizza places are either the ingredients, or in this place, what separates them is their crust. They make everything fresh right in front of you, pictures are below. Jennie took our order and she walked us through the menu. We ended up getting a big margherita pizza. My son got the 2 tomato slices, he isn't a big cheese fan. My wife got pepperoni, they have beef pepperoni or pork pepperoni. Mikey Love was really cool he came out and greeted me. My kids got a drink, and then guess what, their gelato was actually top tier. I went for pizza and found out the Geloto was was awesome. You go to a pizza place and then get gelato. They had vanilla and watermelon, it was so good. I got some for my daughter, I tasted it, and one of my self them one of my sons wanted some as well. Bernadette was making them and having a great time. Great Vibe here If you come to Brooklyn and you want great pizza, you need to try this place. This place is absolutely awesome.

For food, I ordered the smoked salmon rillettes with crispy potatoes, and my friend got the roasted chicken moulade. Everything tasted good, though the portion sizes were on the smaller side which I kind of expected for a New American style spot. Honestly, the highlight for me were the desserts. My friend and I shared an apple dessert with ice cream and a blueberry crumble, and both were so delicious, definitely the standout of the meal. The location is also super convenient if you're heading to a nearby music venue or bar which is exactly how we ended up here, making it a perfect pre-event dinner spot. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food, but especially for the ambiance and aesthetic. It is a bit pricey for the portion sizes, but it's perfect for a cute dinner with a friend or a date when you're in the mood to treat yourself.

Rat seen while eating here!…read more I went to dine at this restaurant for dinner with three others friends. The food was okay, nothing worth raving about. What was the most unsettling part of the whole experience was that towards the end of the meal as we were enjoying our last sips, and had already paid the bill, a rat came running across the restaurant floor! Note we were sitting inside near the kitchen, not outside. The wait staff and management noticed the rat because it had a startled a waiter who had run away from it. Nobody came over from the management staff to apologize or even acknowledge the rat we had all seen inside the restaurant. I would expect more from a place with Michelin recognization. Even an Applebees would have comped a dessert or at least sent someone to apologize. We were not given anything, paid the full bill (more than $500) , and never spoken too. It was not the waiters fault who alerted us when they screamed but management. And It's almost as if they didn't want to alert the rest of the restaurant and instead acted like nothing happened. We sat maybe another 15 minutes while the rat was under the booth seating that runs against the wall, maybe 8 or 10ft away from us, and they most likely left it there the rest of the night to not alert others. Very disappointing.
