Pulled pork, Okra and potato salad A++++. Mac n cheese - no flavor, strike out.

OMG - random yelp find! Yessss. Perfect lunch. First off, the bad, yup starting there. Mac n Cheese. Runny, no flavor, Velvetta knock off. Really? Come on, do better. Now for the yummmmmines. Brisket - order fatty cut. Very flavorful with a great bark. Excellent. Fried Ribs tossed in their Asian sauce. Holy crap, next level. I guess the ribs are flash fried. Meat fall of the bone. Asian sauce was hot and tangy, we ordered another serving. Pulled Pork - excellent flavor and very savory. Onion Rings - to die for, seriously some of the best onion rings I have ever had. Okra - excellent, way above average. Potato Salad - on point, to die for homemade southern style goodness Ranch is to die for.... Service was great, lots of locals. Great vibe.

While traveling we stopped here for dinner. We had been wanting a steak dinner and they had steak. Mine was a little tough but still tasted good. My husband got the rib eye and it was a better cut of meat. We both enjoyed our dinner and would recommend maybe trying their BBQ they offer

With limited options coming from watching the sunset at Black Canyon of the Gunnison this wasn't too far from there. The parking lot was pretty full so I was excited, however I was disappointed. Let's start with the burnt ends, they did not have any flavor and no smoke taste to it. They tasted as though they were boiled, then baked. No smoke bbq flavor to the them. The bratwurst was pretty dry. They're ribs were decent same as the burnt end and you can can see they did not bbq them. Overall decent spot to visit coming from a day of hiking, but checkout other spots in the neighborhood.

Pulled pork and homemade sausage. Add a squirter of sauce and this is a smile maker.

If it is a roafhouse/smokehouse BBQ joint you want this the place. As you approach the hostess you have a choice to make. The choice is do you sit in the PG side or the R side of the house. Based on the colorful language on the bar side I would say Jimmers is a popular place with the locals. The service was cheerful and helpful. It was a packed house and she had her hands full. My pulled pork and homemade sausage was tasty. Unfortunately it would have welcomed some heat. Kind of like an indoor picnic. But wait no meal is complete with one or all three BBQ sauces. But based of ours and diners around us I am sure we all left with full bellies.

Do the employees wear masks? Unfortunate if they don't; they will lose business AND will be fined by the stare. I sure hope they do, love their good.

We were there the first week of June. Masks weren't mandatory, but all of the employees were wearing them and the tables were far apart.

Got chicken quesadilla appetizer for the kids, 1/2 rack of ribs, and street tacos (one pulled pork, one grilled chicken, and one beer battered cod) with beans and cilantro rice. The service was kind and I picked it up on time. The orders were hand-written on the boxes. Inside the store was pretty standard for a Southwestern style casual dining restaurant. Dark walls, decent lighting. So as far as affordability...here's where it fell flat. I'll say, the food was all flavorful. If it was taste alone, it would be a 5 star. BUT... The street tacos were comparable in size to Del Taco's street tacos... so...not much. For the price point, not worth it. The "1/2 rack" of St. Louis Style Ribs had a total of 4 ribs. Like...would their 1/4 rack only have 2 ribs?? The best value item was the chicken quesadilla, but we paid extra to sub sour cream for the salsa (my kids can't handle "spice"), and it came in a SMALL condiment cup. Ultimately, we polished off our dinner and had to supplement everything with other foods. Which we'd be fine with except at the price we paid, anywhere else would have easily left us satisfied. Ultimately, it was good and people were kind, so it just amounts to a big sigh.

This review reflects our experience with them as a caterer. The food itself was decent--definitely not Texas-level barbecue, but for Montrose, it's what you'd expect. We ordered 90 plates with the intention of having leftovers (74 mouths fed), but there were none. When our coordinator reached out, Tyler (the owner) explained that he always brings extra food so guests can have seconds. That didn't quite add up--why would a caterer bring extra food beyond what was paid for? It left us wondering whether the portions were simply miscalculated. Another issue was the food temperature. The small burners used during setup weren't effective at all. We were among the first to eat, and our food was already cold. I can only imagine how it was for guests at the later tables. One of the biggest disappointments was the trailer. We had a lot of family traveling in from Texas and were thrilled about the idea of Tyler's trailer, which has a big Texas graphic on the side. We mentioned this during our initial meeting and were quoted for 80 plates. Later, when we increased to 90 and asked about the trailer again, Tyler told us he doesn't bring it for larger catering events. That was a real letdown--not just aesthetically, but practically. We suspect the food would've stayed much warmer had the trailer been used instead of the burner setup. Overall, while the barbecue was okay, the experience didn't meet expectations--especially given the excitement and planning that went into it.

I do love a cold meatball sandwich! Yuck! The turkey sandwich didn't have bacon (which I paid extra for!) and the lettuce was wilted! Gross! On top of all that I got food poisoning from this lovely meal. Do these people not wash their hands? I usually like Subway but I'm never eating at this one again, and I'm unlikely to choose another Subway either. I tell everyone about this, since it happened to me a few weeks ago.
