We recently moved here from out of state. We heard that Jimm's Steakhouse was a great place to have an excellent steak and salad bar. The people that told us that were right! I had the Angus 7oz and it was perfectly cooked and tender. My husband had the NY strip and he said the same of his. Our server, Susan, took wonderful care of us. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming. They kept their work talk quiet so the diners didn't hear all of their business. We saw all ages dining around us. What a nice place. I've been here a multitude of times, and I am always so impressed with the service. Whether it's a date night, birthday celebration, or just a nice dinner out, we are always treated so well with the best service in town, honestly. They're steaks are impeccable. They have you cut into the steak to make sure it's cooked to your liking. I've had the prime rib a few times, top sirloin, the pork medallions, and of course the salad bar! I love this salad bar. It has everything a salad bar must: a variety of veggies, many dressings, good croutons, and pickled beets (my personal favorite). Tonight we had a birthday celebration for my brother in law. Service was fantastic even if our group was a little loud for the restaurant. We were all absolutely satisfied with our meals. Miranda (I think that was her name) was our server and she was funny and a fabulous server. My fiancé & I spent $59 (before tip) for a steak meal, a prime rib French dip meal, 2 beers and dessert. My wife and I celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary. We both got the special of the night. The service was amazing however the steak was the worst I have ever had. It was so tuff it was uneatable. This is a recurring issue here. You can get a better steak at lone Star 100 times better. We will go there from now on. read more

It has been a tradition to go to Jimm's for a family birthday every year on Feb. 12. I just called to make the reservation and was told they are only reserving tables for 2 and only seating tables for 4 "since it's so close to Valentine's Day." How disappointing for our family of 5! well after tonight we have decided that Jims is not Jims anymore. Service and staff atmosphere are terrible. 5/12/2024 we went in for a 345 dinner for 2 and when we checked in we were told that we had to have our meal done and be gone in 45 min.. strike one your not going to charge me $100 and tell me there is a time limit 2. When we sat down there was 5 out of 9 tables in the room empty.. our waitress shouted from across the room "I'll be with you in a minute. " at the caliber of place Jim's is shouting across the room is not acceptable. 3. When the person I was with got her second martini the person delivering it said very loudly "hears round two" why are we telling the whole room how many drinks we have had?? again not acceptable 4. When we ordered our food, it took forever for the salad wedge to come out. I was done with the salad bar and plate gone by the time her salad wedge came out. 5. the staff should not be yelling across the room to each other about their drunken night before at the bar 6. I got the bourbon steak, medium rare. It came out ice cold as cold as my iced tea and her salmon was cold as well so they just put it in the microwave to warm it up. Yet again, not acceptable. I was told to try my steak and looked at him and said I had no silverware and he made a joke about it not funny after the amount of problems we've had. When it came time for our bill, nothing was said other than have a nice night. We are very frequent customers of Jim's steakhouse, but this is the last straw we will not be returning. read more

Lobster was over-cooked and tough. Steak was fine. Ordered a whisky, but they were out of that brand, so instead ordered Jim Beam. Just not the best. The waiter forgot our soup that we ordered with drinks, brought it after our entrees and it was cold. The cedar salad dressing was more of an Italian dressing, and it was saturated. The server had a mask on, but it did not cover his nose....which was very runny the entire time he served us. He kept sniffling and leaning over the table during dinner to fill water glasses. The next day, Jimm's announced, "a few of our employees have tested positive for COVID". Facebook post attached below. Not a great feeling after our server was sniffling and congested the night before. Overall, not a great experience and will not be going back. Quite possibly the worst prime rib I've ever had in my life! Ice cold, over 25% inedible fat, the waitress brings bred to table and says...here is some warm bread for you (she probably thought it was warm)...ice cold. So glad we stopped at Jimm's Steakhouse! Fabulous food! Recommend the red peppers bacon wrapped as a starter, following their fabulous salads which comes . My hubby had the bacon meatloaf. I had the filet. Everything was cooked just right! The filet you could cut with a knife. Highly recommend this place not bad on prices, you won't leave hungry. Plenty of food. You know? Texas Roadhouse has FAR better steak than this place. The service is really good. The servers are very knowledgeable and friendly. I got the ribeye dinner, $40. The steak was mid at best. The salad bar was really quite fun. Drinks were good. I just feel like if you go to a "steak house" that charges $40 for a ribeye, you should at least get a delicious piece of meat. Not so much here. The sweet potato was absolutely delicious though! I also really enjoyed the crab cakes. Overall, I don't think I'll ever be back here again.
