This place had a nice classy feel. Once you leave the large business drag street, you enter into a more old fashioned and beautiful world. The cedar plank salmon in beurre blanc sauce was very delicious. I paid the upgrade the to the brussels sprouts which were nice and crispy with a good balsamic but they really could be taken to an A game dish with fresh grated Parmesan on top instead of string/straw high preservative version. My aunt got the bacon wrapped shrimp and loved it. All of the kids loved their dishes too. They ordered off the kids menu which is great to have. The staff was friendly, attentive and accommodating. I didn't take pictures because this was a family reunion event and my family considers it inappropriate to be on your phone during a family gathering. Was in town for the evening and this place looked like it would be good. It's a beautiful restaurant but that's about where it ends. Since we did not have reservations, it was a 90 min wait which was ok. My husband ordered the special...filet Oscar ( 6 oz filet topped with blue crap and sauce) red mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. I had lunch at Jimm's Steakhouse and ordered Salmon, a salad bar, and a glass of wine. My salmon was $14.19, salad bar was $4.25. and my glass of wine was $23.40. I was shocked when my check arrived. I questioned the waitress about the cost of the wine and she sent the manager over. He explained that I didn't specify the brand so they poured Santa Margherita. So I snuck by the line and grabbed a seat at the bar. Busy busy busy! The two bar tenders certainly were hopping! I had a beer and looked over the menu. I decided on the Prime Rib and a wedge salad. Before they came to take my order I overheard another group order the peppers. Looked at the menu again and they sounded good. So I ordered them as well. The peppers were delicious. Went to dinner with my brother Friday night. I didn't have high hopes I had felt that Jimm's wasn't as good as it used to be. Perhaps it was because I associated with sad events because of some memorials and things that I attended there, but my brother and I just went last night to have a nice meal when he was in town and checked out the menu and knew I was having prime rib because I can't find prime rib, my brother got salad thing thing from the past and their salad bar was beautiful. I mean it looked great. My salad was really good. I even took the leftovers home. My brother had a filet mignon medium rare rare both of them. My brother had a $25 glass of wine so I had a bloody Mary off of the menu. We were too full to have the crème brûlée cheesecake but we watched the people at the table next to us having it and it looks really good and the guy even got up and said that was the best dessert. I'm happy to know that now once again and deer to my heart we went to two different restaurants. Both of them were places I have gone for years and kind of quit going not because of the pandemic. I loved the food and atmosphere. I have missed it so much since the closure years ago. Let's start with the asthetics and the music. Perfection. Jimm has recreated the salad bar and it is spot on. Crisp lettuce on chilled plates from that icy well that makes their salad bar stand apart. All the fresh toppings you remember. My sister in law and brother miss the honey mustard dressing but the thousand island I always loved was there. The Hawaiian chicken was just as I remembered it with a fresh and fluffy loaded baked potato. The folks that had steaks were all pleased with their cook and flavor. The blackened chicken pasta is just as good as it was back in the day. We had a great server (Sam). She was attentive without hovering. Also, the restaurant was super clean. We did not get any starters since our meals came with choice a salad or make own from salad bar & yummy warm bread. My sister and I used the salad bar and they had plenty of options to make our own start salad and we both made too much but enjoyed it very much. Our server such a lovely girl and sorry I forgot her name and can't find my receipt to look for her name, but she was so helpful she made grandpa a tiny side salad for him while we made ours. Our dinner came out in good time, just as we were finishing our salads, grandpa so so shocked in the size of his he was happy and saying he going to have leftovers for sure for later meal. He had their Bacon Wrapped Shrimp (9 large shrimp, wrapped in bacon, served on a bed of rice pilaf with steamed broccoli and a pesto lemon butter sauce) He kept saying look how big these shrimp are lol My sister had their Hawaiian Chicken (Grilled chicken marinated in our tropical blend, topped with a grilled pineapple slice. Later in the evening we tried ours at her house and man oh man glad we did.. We had got the Lemon Berry Mascarpone Cake (Layers of white cake with blueberries, cranberries and rich creamy lemon mascarpone) & Bruleed Cheesecake (New York styled cheesecake with a caramelized sugar crust) These desserts are so rich and good we did savor every bite, and even saved some for ya guessed it breakfast next morning with coffee. The service here was excellent, other than the young man's recommendations. Maybe he hasn't experienced good food, and perhaps that because the choices are limited in this area.
