Me and my wife were visiting Niagara Falls for our anniversary. So this place had karaoke since it's a hobby of ours, (they have it Saturday nights). It's near where the Falls are, so we decide to stop in for dinner. We were seated right away when we walked in. The place had a decent amount of people, but service was pretty quick. Our waitress Jasmine was very nice. She checked on us frequently throughout the night. She made sure she got our orders right too. The food came out in a timely manner. Everything was cooked, just right and just to our liking. My wife was very pleased as well with the quality. The DJ they had there for entertainment was great. He made sure everyone who signed up, went up in a timely manner. If we're ever back in the area, we're definitely coming back here. It was a great time and it's a nice walking distance from most of the hotels. We ordered 2 Margaritas, one of them spicy jalapeño flavor. Instead of tasting spicy, it tasted just like pickle juice. The Pomegranate flavor was a bit better, just tasted like sugar and was way too sweet. We also order spicy cauliflower bites, which were promised to have a wide variety of seasonings on them. Not only did they lack any spice, I don't even think they put salt and pepper on them as they were terribly bland. The service on the other hand was very good, our waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. But I likely would not return to this establishment. read more

But the fish and chips I got was good, the beer was good, and the manager came by and offered me a bottle of vinegar to spritz on it, which I haven't had for years and enjoyed immensely. I asked for unsweetened iced tea. She responded that all they have is sweet tea. So I ordered a diet soda. Neither the bartender or the server who took the rest of our order mentioned that they don't do free refills until we had finished our drinks while eating our appetizer. The menu didn't mention that, either. When our food was delivered, the hamburger was charred and almost inedible. The slaw on my plate was room temperature. I was afraid to eat it. It's a typical Margaritaville restaurant, nothing unique, but we were there to toast to Jimmy on the day his death was announced to the public. The nachoes were piled high with stuff and delish. I've never had poutine before, so I can't compare, but the gravy on it was just salty and tasted like it came from a can. Our service was good, and the ambiance was very Jimmy Buffett inspired. Being a lifelong fan of Jimmy Buffett, and having the pleasure of meeting him a few times, I can't help but wonder how embarrassed he would be to read this review. Yes the ambiance / music was great. The food was good and service was ok. But here's what annoyed me so much that I can never return to this or any Margaritaville. 1. They charged for fountain soda refills. It's been a very long time since I've been at a sit down restaurant that charged for fountain soda refills. And I've never been to one that charged without noting it on the menu or at least having the server mentioning it prior to bringing the refill. 2. One person in our party had a grilled chicken sandwich. As it was somewhat dry, they asked for some mayonnaise, which the server promptly brought. When the bill came, we were charged $2.00 extra for the mayo. This is a condiment for a dry sandwich..... what other restaurant charges extra for this? When I commented on these two items to the server when we received the bill, she said something like "Yeah they make us charge for everything, there's nothing we can do about it". I mentioned that the chicken sandwich was ordered without tomato, and the Southwest Chicken salad was ordered without avocado and diced tomatoes.....wasn't there a credit for these since they charged for mayo. The server said "No". 3. On the bill, when it did the math for the suggested gratuity, it showed the percent of the total bill (including taxes) rather than the subtotal. This is also not standard and I'm sure most people wouldn't notice. Margaritaville is just trying to trick their customers and and disrespect them. I did notice and left an appropriate tip based on the subtotal. These simple little items are so offensive to me that Margaritaville just lost a customer. My family even had a reservation and a Margaritaville resort for later this summer that we just cancelled because we don't like being treated like suckers. read more

The server was pleasant enough, but I take issue with quality of food. The kids fish and chips had one small battered filet. The Jambolaya was bland. It's supposed to pop with flavor and I found it boring and not tasty. The server was pleasant enough, however, a couple of glaring mistakes. I didn't finish more than half of my food. There was no question of how I enjoyed it? She simply came and removed the food. This is a question that should be asked regardless but especially if a guest has not eaten most of the meal. The ambiance is upbeat and fun and lively and the decor is eye-catching and unique--it gives a fun and exciting vibe. The drinks are made extremely weak, so be cautious about the purchase. The watermelon margaritas were simply sugary fruit punches. The spicy chicken sandwich I ordered was extremely dry and needed the side of guacamole my boyfriend got with his meal that he didn't want that I ended up using. The volcano nachos that my boyfriend ordered was huge and sufficient for two guests. It would have been helpful if the server had imparted that information. The nachos were just OK, and it didn't look like there was extra cheese although we did ask for it and were charged for it. The server, Kevin, was friendly but largely absent. He took quite some time to initially greet us after we were seated. The restaurant wasn't very busy and it seemed adequately staffed. The server didn't ask about any allergies, any house specials, any promotions, or upsell any items. He did not compliment our choices or offer any additional items such as water. The burger was okay but the fries were not good. The place is pretty large. They have an outdoor patio as well as lots of indoor space. Hubby & his co-worker & co-worker's wife shared the mountain of nachos. It was a very large order. The wife couldn't finish it all even with everyone helping. And she also ordered a nacho salad too. Full of chips. LOL. I wouldn't eat here again. The waitstaff were nice & efficient but the food just isn't up to par and the prices are about the same as the restaurants at the hotel. read more

I'll echo all the other reviewers that this place is mediocre at best. It needs a facelift and a good cleaning - we came for early dinner and the floors were already sticky. My wife's coconut shrimp was okay but my tacos were cold and not good at all. It needed more flavour and spice. Kids liked their fish and chips ..but most disappointing were the drinks. The mojito tasted like it was a mix and didn't have enough mint leaves or ice. The signature margarita didn't have the kick and also didn't have enough ice. You have to have good cocktails if you have an extensive cocktail menu like this place. Huge disappointment - so recommend that you skip this place. There are other taco and tequila places closer that are much better. read more
