Truly awful service. Over 20 minutes to receive drive thru order (which was also incorrect). Definitely not freaky fast.

Their advertising says freaky fast. I have been waiting 55 minutes and still haven't received my sandwich.

Food is great. Big sammy is really huge. I need to make a note to just get the half. However... it's pretty pricey!

The cashier was super friendly and let us have as much candy as we wanted, helped us pick menu items, and was very honest about wait times due to their busyness but was still quick to get our orders out as soon as she could. The restaurant has few tables so its more of a grab and go spot, but it is possible to sit at a small counter or select few tables. The sandwiches were all good, some better than others. Some people were happier with them than others. The specialty sandwiches got the best reviews.

All of their meats are cured in house and served on their fresh baked bread each day. They are vegetarian friendly and offer vegan and gluten free options. They also offer breakfast items like burritos. Be aware their sandwiches are loaded with ingredients and big. I could only eat half of my sandwich. I do appreciate the size though as you never know how hungry you are going to be after a long hike especially in this altitude. We went with the turkey sandwich and added cheese, all kinds of toppings and a spread. These sandwiches were very tasty and all the veggies on the sandwich were so fresh. Their baked goods looked so inviting especially the cinnamon rolls. I will have to come back! Service was efficient and helpful. Parking can be a bit of a challenge when they are busy. It was the perfect stop before entering the park!

Where's Uncle Tony when you need him?…read more Honestly, someone call Nonna and have her send Uncle Tony over to politely break some bread--or maybe some legs--because The Sandwich Mafia is disrespecting the family... and the sandwich game. These sandwiches? Fuggedaboutit. Dry, flavorless, and thinner than my cousin Vinny's patience. If this is what they're calling a "hit," then it's a miss, capisce? We ordered The Uncle Tony, which comes with salami, pepperoni, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini, black olives, and oil & vinegar on a hoagie. This was, without question, the saddest sandwich I've ever had the displeasure of paying for. One flimsy slice of each meat and cheese, and the bare minimum of veggies they could legally get away with. If Uncle Tony knew his name was being slapped on this, he'd have made The Sandwich Mafia sleep with the fishes. Their Instagram? Fugazi. It's all thick stacks of meat, cheese, and toppings. But what you actually get is a sad, limp excuse for a sandwich. Check the photos I posted if you need the visual heartbreak. Do yourself a favor--save your appetite, your wallet, and your dignity. Go eat somewhere else. Heck, even Subway would've been a hundred times better... and that's saying something.

This little rest stop/restaurant/gift store sits up at almost 12,000 feet! I come about once a year on my birthday and hike up to the very top and get my picture taken with my friends in front of the altitude sign. It's nice to know you're getting older and can still make it to the top! Look for the trail just off to the left of the parking lot and the main building and just go up up up. Breathe slowly and take slow steps: you'll feel it! Once you've made the altitude journey, you have clearly earned some hot chocolate and a sit down with a view. Enter the gift shop and head back to the restaurant where you can order coffee, hot cocoa, sandwiches etc. This is not foodie dining. This is a glorified rest stop. Expect 7-Eleven quality fare and you will be pleased. Grab a table by the window and look down into the glacial Valley - do you see elk? Moose? Blue skies? A storm coming? Whenever you are there you will see something new and the views are amazing! Bathrooms are satisfactory for being in the wilderness on top of the tundra. Gift store is pretty spectacular - they have really nice quality T-shirts with Rocky Mountain national Park graphics, some cool pottery and even jewelry - tons of books, and all of the usual tourist junk. What you're getting here for your journey is an amazing view at the top of the Rockies, accompanied by a nice hot drink, a snack, a bathroom break, and a souvenir!

They gunned it & passed on yellow lines, intimidating other motorists ~ & also honked & revved their motors as others were quietly observing wildlife. I stopped to watch herds of Elk & Deer plus several Moose grazing @ dusk right off TRR. Driving West, it was a thrill to cross the Continental Divide. There was a large pulloff that nearly everyone stopped at. The Trail Ridge Store & Cafe' was @ the Top, next to the Alpine Visitors Center. The amount of merchandise on display was mind-boggling, as were the # of sacks carried out the door. To me, it looked like enough $$$$ profit, annualized, to make a dent in the Federal Deficit. & After the Lunch crowd cleared out, a string of Employees went in & out of the Stockroom carrying large boxes of merchandise to replenish the racks & shelves. The Cafe' didn't have many choices of real food other than dry snacks & Nathan's Hot Dogs for $5.50. No ice or cups @ all. Early-leaf-peeping along Trail Ridge Road was pretty good ~ shades of gold & orange in small clusters surrounded by evergreens. IDK whether they pave new pulloffs during Winters? But I could not clearly see nor photograph some of the best color scenery along the way. I especially loved the switchbacks & the places where I could see another part of the road above or below me.
