Jimmy johns is NOT fast. Slower than molasses in January in a snow storm in Alaska 2 people working and they have to stop and talk to each other every other minute. 4/25/20 Is the date that we recently had the worst experience at this location. We decided to go for a drive (Covid-19). We had agreed to hollar if we saw a food spot worth grabbing take home. As we were driving down Matlock i screamed"JJ's is open"!! My husband has always loved eating at JJ's and this particular location. We went inside((Masks). The girl behind the counter told us that they were out of bread and that fresh bread would take about 15 mins. We were excited about fresh bread and agreed to wait. She waved her hand at us explaining that we had to wait outside. We went to our cars and took out our phones and waited just over 15 mins. We went back inside only for the girl behind the counter to tell us that we were supposed to order our food before we went outside and now all of the bread was now GONE!!! She never once expressed or told us this information before shewing outside to wait . She also didn't offer to take our orders so we could wait again. She just said "Sorry" and that was it. My husband was furious and mumbled biting his tongue. We left aggravated and hungry. I sent an emial to corporate and got a reply explaining that this location is privately owned and forwarded the email to the owner and i have heard NOTHING in reply from them. My husband does not want to go back and neither do i. We have been going there since it opened. Can JJ's fix this ???? read more

I order from this JJ's location at least 3-5 times a month. They have always got my order correct and is always way faster than I expect. All the drivers there are freaky awesome and courteous. Placed an order online for delivery..waited an hour called the store ..they said they had it for pickup and had charged credit card. Said we were not in their delivery area! Will have to wait 48 hours for card to be reimbursed. In the meantime my daughter called the Abram store and they said we were in the delivery area for Matlock!!!! Asked for the owners name and they said Matt Brane..Matt if this is your store you have problems ..I am not the only bad review about deliverys from this store and credit cards being charged and not getting food!! We used to order from here all the time but the food was too inconsistant. Wilted lettuce and unripe tomatoes would be put on our sandwiches. If you mention this to the manager he has been known to fly into a rage. There are too many sandwich places around to waste time at this one. read more

Worst service I have ever had in my life. The driver shows up at our work, with our food, with blood pouring out of his arm. Did I mention with our food !!!!!! Gross. So I called the store back n spoke with Blake, can we say extremely Rude. I explained what had happened & of course I got the typical runaround & was told that they do not give refunds under any circumstances. So I told him, so if a customer comes into your store & is not happy with your food or service, that you have no way to credit back their money to their credit card. Even though you have the machine right in front of you that can do just that task. He said no. Oh wait he did offer to remake the food & send it back out to us. Really what part of bleeding driver did he not understand ? I have been eating at Jimmy Johns for a long time, just not this store & never again @this store. I had to call the Corporate office, whom called his owner, whom called him & told him to put my $9.00 back on my card. Wow what a waste of 30 Min's. Of my time. Just a heads up. Always fast. Always good. Love the beach club sandwich with no mayo, I mean it already has a ton of delicious guacamole on it, no need to take things too far. I once tried to be healthy and get their in-which which is the no-carb version of their sandwich or AKA a giant lettuce wrap. It's tasty but it's no match for warm delicious bread. Get the bread. Needed quick bite on the way to my friend's presentation and decided to stop into the first quick serve sandwich place I saw. I've always found them very fast compared to competitors, and they are one of the cheaper ones too. I get the Number 13 (ultimate veggie) with no mayo then I add sprouts, mustard, and spicy peppers. Overall, a tasty and healthy sandwich. Most locations also offer to sell you their day old bread too, I didn't notice a sign for it at this one but then I wasn't looking for it. read more

This is a busy place. I prefer the competitor and only because of the bread. JJ breadis a little on the tough side. Service is great but sometime a bit overboad because of the freedoms they are allowed. One business no no for me is to here them complain about other customers. Absolutely awesome. Can't beat this sandwich and the fact that it's delivered in less than 30 mins is a win! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The Italian nightclub is my fave so far. I add mayo and Dijon. I ordered here for delivery for the fist time and it was DELICIOUS! I don't eat a lot of bread and try to eat clean as much as I can s I ordered a turkey sandwich without bread, it was wrapped in lettuce and it was the best lettucewhich I've EVER had! A lot of places do not offer this option so when I found out about it I HAD to try it and it was so good! will defiantly be ordering from them again! The staff was dismissive of customers. They were addressed three times about the lack of carbonation in the drink machine by three different customers including myself. On the third encounter there was a group of staff standing with their backs to the cash register talking amongst themselves. At first they ignored the customer, when they acknowledged her presence and were informed the soda machine was giving out flat drinks they simply said there was no carbonation and began to turn around to converse amongst themselves again. It took prompting for them to finally explain they didn't know how to put carbonation in the drink machine, an explanation which would have been more beneficial when they were first addressed about the problem. read more

Ordered a vegetarian sandwich. Should have had provolone, lettuce, tomato, avacado, sprouts, cucumber with mayo and I requested oil & vinegar added. Paid $5.75 plus delivery for a cheese sandwich with mayo, lettuce, and tomato. Could've got that in the case a Racetrack! I gave them 1 star because the bread was good, course that's all I could taste since it was 95% of the sandwich. Also, they did deliver quickly. I have been a proud supporter of this location for a few years now and they decide to change the delivery radius.... I am literally 1.3 miles away from store and they say I am too far.... 1.3 miles... My favorite part of them is the fact they deliver. But I guess 1.3 miles is too far. Well if it is too far for you to drive then it is too far for me to drive. I guess I will be eating anywhere else but jimmy johns. We have ordered lunch while at work from Jimmy John's several times now. The sandwiches are always delicious. However, I give Jimmy John's 2 Stars for the timeliness of delivery. It has been inconsistent at best. Most often it takes at least 40 minutes to receive our order, which is never more than two or three sandwiches and maybe a drink. The longest we have waited is 50 minutes, which was completely unacceptable. The driver didn't even apologize for how long he took until he saw that we did not tip him on the recipe. Then and only then did he offer a half hearted "sorry for the delay". Jimmy John's has boasted speedy quick delivery. I can get a pizza in 30 minutes, why is it so impossible to get a sandwich in 15-20 minutes? I don't even consider 15-20 minutes speedy quick, I do, however, consider it acceptable. This particular location seems to have issues with doing "anything" in a timely manner. We have stopped ordering from Jimmy John's because of this location. You all need to get it together. read more
