Ordered online a Beach Club unwich with EZ mayo. When we got home 20 minutes away we realized we received a mayo sandwich with turkey, it was totally inedible! I called the store and talked to the "manager" and was told to drive 40 minutes round trip so I could prove the mayo sandwich was actually a mayo sandwich before he would do anything. Well the drive was not going to happen as it was not worth it! I really love Jimmy John's sandwiches, but I'm sure I can learn to love the sandwiches from one of the 50 other sandwich shops in town. Just had our lunch delivered and it's an absolute disaster. My daughter is anaphylactic and special ordered a sandwich to include meat cheese and bread only. They have all kinds of toppings on it. When I called the manager, she was rude, condescending, argumentative and it is the worst customer service I've ever had. Honestly I work customer service and this was honestly the worst experience I don't who the manager was but instead of speaking to her employee in the back where the customers can't hear her she was openly chewing him out. We drove by Jimmy johns and it smelled SO good so we decided to grab a to-go menu and order delivery for lunch. Overall I was disappointed in the food. It was just a sandwich. Not a bad sandwich, but not a good sandwich either. They have a very limited selection of meats and toppings and the condiments were used so sparingly that the sandwiches were dry. There was very little meat on the sandwiches as well. The one thing I can give then is the delivery was fast, less than 15 minutes, but unless you can't or absolutely don't want to leave your house and need delivery I suggest sticking with subway. They have better sandwiches and prices. I don't know what the blissful smell was when we passed by Jimmy johns but their sandwiches do not measure up to it in the least. read more

I have been a J.J. customer ever sense the opened up in Carson City and have been happy with their sandwiches. Today I ordered a JJ BLT with Avocado from the J.J. on the south end of Carson City. When I got home i had a JJ ALT, there were two skinny slices of bacon on the sandwich that did not even cover half of the bread from side to side or end to end. There was more avocado then bacon. We went in right after they opened. They sandwich was fine. It was better than Subway, not as good as Port of Subs, and not nearly as good as U.S. Sub Base. But I thought the appeal of them delivering gave them extra points. Well, tonight, I tried to call and have them deliver to us, but they told me that they could not deliver to me, even though I live well under 2 miles from the restaurant. After finding this on the website, I called to double check. The guy who answered the phone was very nice and understood my frustration, but told me that they were not allowed to deliver to my apartment complex. He could not explain this, other than to say that apparently, it was thought that because I live in a decent sized complex, their drivers might get confused or lost in the complex, spending too much time. While there are a number of apartments in my complex, it is not particularly big, and I would think that that drivers could quickly learn the layout of the complex if they delivered here just a couple of times. I just really am baffled, and find this to be very silly and bad customer service. There are plenty of sandwich places in Carson. I'm going to go to ones that have better sandwiches and consistent customer service, which means that I will not be returning to Jimmy Johns. read more

I work at a Jimmy John's in California. The staff here is so boring and dull. You ask the cashier something and he responded with one word. I asked for Mayo on my sandwich and I didn't even get that. In my 30 + years of dealing with customers and the public, I have never been treated so discourteously in my life. My wife went to buy me a $9 sandwich (Italian style) and was immediately told they had NO WHITE ROLLS - REALLY? In a sandwich shop? They were influenced into getting it on wheat berry bread - which they brought home - and tasted terrible! SOME SANDWICHES SHOULD ONLY BE ON WHEAT ! My biggest surprise was when I called the restaurant and asked for the manager - and was told I was neither forced to buy that sandwich (hmm... no white sub rolls??) AND I could go somewhere else to eat !! Apparently the north and south jimmy johns are owned by the same person - so I will NEVER be returning to either. I will not post a 1 star simply because its Jimmy Johns. That being said. I managed one of the busiest Jimmy John's stores in the country. Operated by Bushwood . 6th st. in Austin,TX. I have served thousands of subs a day during the many festivals and south by southwest. I was able to keep a line moving on a double shift at a store that didnt close until 3am. The fact is my food was fast, Some may say Freaky Fast, as well as accurate. The bread was also fresh. This was not that. I placed an online order which should be unecissary if the employees were anywhere near as fast as they should be. When i showed up 20 min later it wasnt ready. Just a word to the employees, when you got a guy that can put a customized number 9 out in 27 seconds flat with perfect tomato spacing and using the mayo scoop. while keeping a clean line. They make their subs so amazingly fast it's unbelievable. They have AMAZING food there. No matter what sub, if it's an sandwich or lettuce wrap, it's just so delicious. My friend who is allergic to gluten and dairy gets an lettuce wrap. She says that she loves that she can eat there.JJ's has so many signs it really keeps me busy while eating. So we went to Jimmy Johns when they opened. I had the Italian Club and it was fantastic. I have been back about 4 times since then and the sandwich is still pretty consistent except the fact that the last two times I have been there the bread, which was fresh and soft the first few times, was totally stale. If you're looking for something quick this is the place to go. The noise level inside is a bit much, but drive through is just as quick The food is good for what it is. After all it is a sandwich shop. In a way it reminds me of ToGo's. Which was always the place I went when I was in Reno. That shop has been gone for awhile now, so I was glad to see something new come to town. I ordered a sandwich today and it was just ok. Then I checked my bank statement on my phone and noticed that they had charged me twice for my one order. I then called their "Manager" and told her the story. She only argued with me and blamed it on their credit card service and said there was nothing she could do about it. I am currently working in town and had never been to a Jimmy John's. A co-worker talked me into going to try it for lunch. I was very disappointed in this place mainly by the person that said she was the manager at the time. I simply asked for a taste of the tuna because all tuna taste differently. She refused to let me have a sample so I could decide. She was very unpleasant and barked orders. I asked for the Manager and she said she was the manager but refused to even take time to talk to me or even look at me. I then asked for the corporate number and she said I could get it online and refused to get it for me. I then get my sandwich and they didn't even cut it in half. Well now I have now tried Jimmy John's, and thanks for making it clear I won't be going back here. I will say however, the other staff there was very pleasant, but she kept barking orders to them. There are two Jimmy Johns in Carson City. I have eaten at both place's, four times at the north location and twice at the south location across from the Fandango. I love a good sub but I am tired of this place. It's not worth it. Both times at the south location I had a problem. Once they left the outer paper or plastic on the ham and the other time they forgot the cheese. Ugh. So I was pretty happy with the north location until today. My mom and I went through the drive thru. I got the #1 (ham & cheese) my mom ordered the #5 (the Veto, salami, ham & cheese) she added avocado to it. We get home and there isn't any avocado on my mom's sub. I pulled the sandwich apart thinking maybe it was between the meat but no avocado. So I call the store since we were charged for the avocado and I speak with Ken (the owner). He says he witnessed the sub's being made and that there was avocado on both of them. I informed him that we only ordered it for my mom's sub not both. He said "what did she have? The Veto?" I said yes and he said "with hot peppers", I said no just the Veto with avocado. He again says he watched those sub's being made and saw the avocado being put on both sub's. Again I told him it was just the one sub. I'm starting to get a little agitated as the sub DIDN'T have avocado even though he's insisting it did. So he says he's going to give me a credit for the sub but then says "I know avocado was on that sub". So that's it. Now he's being confrontational and argumentative with me. Deliberately calling me a liar. This is how you handle a complaint? He is out of his mind. I have been in food and beverage for 30 years and I can assure you this is not how you handle a complaint. I will never go back to any Jimmy John's anywhere ever again. Mistake after mistake after mistake and then full on arguing with me over $.75 of avocado. I'm not usually a fast food lover but this made me a believer. Great whole grain bread, fresh ingredients (love tomato and cucumber with fresh turkey), wholesome goodness -- if you skip the specially made potato chips (which is tough to do). Staff was super friendly and nice, and management clearly took an interest in delivering on their freaky fast motto despite a full house at lunchtime.
