There is a value vs. quantity metric that plays into the Jimmy John's I had today...the subs were very light on the meat, but they were cheap and tasted great. So, it smells great due to the fresh baked bread. The sandwich prep is super quick. Because the bread and meat is fresh, it's a great tasting sandwich. Now the "but..." If you don't like mayo, tell them to go easy on it...or else they are going to pull out the thick knife and slather it on both sides of the roll like a Latino making a torta. They like their mayo here. But that part is a personal preference, I get it. I got two sandwiches, the BLT and the slim turkey. The slim sandwiches are supposed to be same as the standards, but with no veggies. There was hardly any meat in my turkey sandwich and even less cheese (cheese was extra). I know I got the slim, but I expected to see folds of fresh meat piled on a fresh bun but there was very little content to my sub. The upside is it was only $4.29 + .75 for the cheese. I had a similar experience with my jjBLT. I had the BLT and added hot peppers. When I unwrapped the sandwich all I saw was roll...no filling thickening it beyond the bread. I was hoping it'd at least be chock full of fresh tomatoes and lettuce...I understand that bacon is more pricey. While light on the filling, it was very good. I can't lie. The bacon was cooked perfect (not fatty, not burnt), the hot peppers were great, and while I would have liked more tomatoes for $5.29 I'd get another sandwich there for sure. They charged 25 cents for hot peppers, which I thought was odd. I'll have to try a true Italian or other sandwich to see if it's bigger. It seems that a Subways, Quiznos or other deli will get you a bigger sandwich, for more money. But JJ's will give you a better tasting sandwich for less cash. One more ding - I didn't see any kid's meals here. You can get two kids a slim and let them split it I guess, but some mini-sandwiches that come with milk and a side would be a good addition. Give it a try, and if you don't like it...go next door and get the Cuban special at Williard's. That sandwich is the bomb! OR go find yourself a Jersey Mike's! Now THAT is a true sub with a fresh roll, fresh ingredients, and piled high...but it's double the price.

Nice spacious interior, freshly made and yummy sandwiches with very soft bread (even the multi grain bread) made my day today! And so many of those very interesting signs on the wall every where, even in the bathrooms. What an enjoyable place to have a weekend lunch!

Little plastic piece I found in my sandwich

I love JJ. I got a pick up order and my sandwich wasn't cut in half as requested, but that was okay until I found a small piece of plastic in my sandwich! So sad. I'm glad it was me and not as mall child that would swallow. These things happen though, just be careful if you eat here.

Burned bread. I looked forward to the sandwich for weeks, only to receive this.

OMG...You have got be so stupid to not get these subs! Holy crap the best!!! Loaded with meats…read more Seriously you have got to try this place!! Not a paid or friend/family person. Worth every dollar spent. I am officially a huge fan!!!

Owner is awful. In the 20 years I've been going there. I have never seen him smile.I ordered a "hot…read morezap", told him my toppings then said hot again. I realized when I got to the car they gave me a cold sandwich. So I went back in and nicely said excuse me this was supposed to be hot. He immediately said, no you didn't say hot. I said yes I did. He says no you didn't. I say it was literally the first word out of my mouth" (it was also my last word.) He continued to tell me I didn't say it offering zero customer service. When I was about to lose my cool, I turned around and said fine I'll just heat it up myself at home. I feel as though he should've said I didn't hear you say that, but if you would like it hot, let me throw it in the oven for you. I wasn't asking for a brand new sandwich. I was just asking for an hot one. Instead, he had a complete attitude and was trying to embarrass me in front of his customers and talked crap to the customers as I walked out the door stating I didn't say that. That is the most disgusting, poor example of what customer service should look like. I love the food, but sadly, I'll never give him another dollar.

I was pleasantly suprised! I got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich which is hard to make apparently…read morein Chantilly (I've tried at Anitas who burns the egg or cantina who gives you and omelet on bread). I loved my bacon, egg and cheese from here! Was quick, taste great and affordable!

Called to make an order to-go, and the lady on the phone could not understand my order. My…read morereception isn't always perfect so I calmly repeated my order a few times, in a slower variation each time. I'm assuming the lady got upset and gave up, hanging the phone up on my while I was mid-sentence. I called back immediately thinking it was a dropped call, and no one picked up the phone after MANY rings. Finally, the phone was answered by a man this time, who understood my order fine and got me set up. Cool! I was a little thrown off with getting hung up on, but it was no biggie (I know how things are with COVID, and i'm generally a compassionate person, hence this being the first time i'm writing a negative review). I'm not sure if they record their own calls or not, but if they do, then it will prove my case. When I arrived to get the food, I gave a warm greeting and was met with angry/judgmental stares from the two people working there (and they let me stand in line in an empty deli without asking me if I needed help for a good 4 minutes). They didn't speak a word other than repeating my order to me to clarify I was picking it up. Whatever, it was not ideal customer service but I wasn't going to get in my feelings about it. When I finally sat down in my car to eat my food, I must say it was one of the worst variants of this food item that I have ever had in my life. And it's a simple one, which puzzled me on how it tasted so foul. There was a protruding odor coming from the food item that just didn't smell right. When I took a bite, it was extremely disgusting and I had to spit it out. Ever since then, i've been thinking about the possibility of my food being tampered with (since this is a small deli and not some big chain establishment) and I really really hope it wasn't the case, but there's just no reason for a food item like that to be as disgusting as it was. I am giving 2 stars because I don't have it in my heart to give this small deli 1 star, especially during a pandemic. They were not busy at the time, so there's really no excuse as to why I was treated so poorly. I was a first-time customer, and will never be stepping foot in there ever again. The food taste/smell will remain a mystery I presume, as nobody would ever admit to such a thing even if they did do it.
