I have been in the area for several weeks on a business trip and I have been to this restaurant twice. The other ratings posted do not compare to my dual experiences as they have met all of my expectations. It is a chain restaurant so there is not much wiggle room for deviation from the recipes but both time they have been spot on with all of my customizations. This maybe the most ridiculous one star review but here I am. I have gone here a few times with the same issue. My sub is fine, it's to be expected as it's Jimmy johns. My issue is with the kicking ranch. I have to pay 65 cents and I get an almost completely empty or less had full container of kicking ranch. We're taking over 4 times now this has happened. They told him that he had to get his shift covered or he couldn't leave. He couldn't see straight to drive, so he refused. This spot just opened not to long ago, and is already one of my favorite spots. The associates are friendly, and very helpful. The food is awesome, and I cant wait to test the delivery to see how fast they are...lol. My one big issue with chains that do subs is that they never have enough meat, and so i typically have to buy extra....not here! This may have been the first time I couldn't finish my sandwich, and they didnt need a foot of bread to do it. Great start! Will review again down the line. The drive thru was extremely slow and when I pulled up I had to ask the cashier to put on gloves. Then my sandwich wasn't ready and I saw that more than 2 people on the sandwich line and the cashier didn't have on masks. The cashier even went to make a sandwich, I'm not sure if he changed gloves since he was handling money. When I asked, he said they got busy so everyone is helping out. My concern is that when you have more sandwiches to put out you you don't take the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19?! Let me start off indicating that the Arundel Mills location has delicious food, and it's always made to perfection. However, if you accept an urban socialized standard of customer service or some employees with a ghetto mentality, and horrible customer service, then visit this location. I have given this location 3 opportunities on customer service and the service continues to be deplorable. On 12/13/23 I was the only person that ordered within a 15 min period, and my sandwich was ready before I paid for it. The employee/cashier was cleaning the cooler, never said hello to me, and never took my money. I had to ask if the sandwich was free, and the same employee said I'll be there in just a moment. Mind you, I had the hot sandwich in my hand while she had to finish what she was doing instead of taking my payment. I refuse to return to this location unless the area manager corrects the customer service, and elevate the standards of their employees regarding how to act in a professional environment, as well as appropriate customer service. On food, they receive a 5 star rating, on customer service they receive a 1 star. Good customer service enhances the food experience, so this location receives a low rating. So today, January 31, 2021, I decided to place an online order through the Jimmy John's app. This was the suggested location closest to me. I placed a very simple order. One sandwich, one bag of chips and one side of sauce. When I opened the bag, after the delivery driver dropped off the food, I was missing the bag of chips and whoever made my sandwich ignored the one simple instruction I had asked for my sandwich. literally half of the order was wrong. After checking out the other reviews about this location here on Yelp, I am not surprised. It sounds like this specific location has many issues. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from this location again. I did not bother to call the restaurant to complain about the missing item, as I used an online code to receive the item for free. So calling over a free bag of chips, would be more of a hassle than it is worth. If I had paid for the item, it would have been another story. Sucks that I wasted the online rewards for nothing, but lesson learned. I would not recommend going through this location and going to another Jimmy John's, if you want to have your meal done right. read more
