I always order with extra mayo to the point where my meat and veg like to slide out of the bread. So you gotta hold on to it tight! Pairs well with the dill pickle chips. Ordering through the app is super easy with Jimmy John's. I will say I don't eat here much, and my visit to this Hoover location was my first one in years. It's kind of confusion cause while I waited in the pickup area, my order wasn't there. When I finally asked the cashier, he pointed me towards another pickup area location that still took me a while to find once he pointed me in the opposite corner from where I was waiting. I've been ordering from this Jimmy John's for a while. I've never had any complaints and I still don't. I want to share the experience I had with them last night that just solidified why I'll continue to order from them. Last night, I didn't feel like cooking so I decided to order Jimmy John's because they're quick and the sandwiches are good. I used the app and quickly ordered my usual items. Let me throw out that their cookies are so good, especially if take them out of the plastic and put them in the microwave for a few seconds. After ordering, I continued to watch this new series on Netflix that had me totally caught up. I didn't realize how much time had elapsed, but Jimmy John's did. They called me to apologize for my food not being delivered yet. They explained one of their drivers had taken longer than usual so that's why my food had not been delivered. They said a manager was coming to deliver my food so I should have it in about 15 minutes. I thanked them and hung up to return to the show. About 10 minutes later, a young woman was at my door. She apologized again and said she had put some coupons for free sandwiches in my bag for the long wait. I thanked her and went back to my couch to enjoy my food and Netflix. This review is for my recent online ordering experience, but I have regularly visited this location over the past few years. I've always had acceptable service at this store. Always greeted and quickly served. You can see into the kitchen as they are making your sandwich, which I appreciate. I've ordered online three times in the last month using the app and have just been super impressed with their speed and service. Today my order was ready in THREE minutes. I was able to track it using the app. They also currently have a parking spot where you can pull up and they bring the order out to you! The food is consistent with the standard Jimmy John's product. I have always had great quality ingredients included on my sandwiches at this location. It's nice as a vegetarian that they offer a sandwich with avocado spread. I really enjoy that with the provolone, shredded lettuce and tomatoes. I choose not to include cucumbers and I add sliced pickles. It is super easy to customize your sandwich in the app and I regularly receive rewards (free chips, drink or cookie). Their jalapeño chips are a great way to add a little kick to your meal without being overly spicy! I've used their delivery service in the past and had good experiences with that as well! Great location! Wonderful staff great everyone the second they walk through the door. Sandwich makers are ready waiting for you to place an order so they can provide their signature 'FREAKY FAST' sandwich. I didn't even have my change back from paying and they were handing me my order...prepared exactly how I requested. In general the only thing I would like to see different is if they had a couple additional toppings.....they provide standard lettuce, tomato, onion and you can request sprouts and hot peppers. My go to is the #5 (The Vito) and it includes an oil/vinegar drizzle. I do love sweet tea and they have some of the best in the area. If you're in the mood for a sandwich it's hard to go wrong with Jimmy John's. read more

This location has delivered to my address (2.7 miles from the store) for Several months. About 2 weeks ago I was told they do not deliver to my address. I explained that they had been delivering for several months and was informed that, the deliveries were done in error. [Several months - never the same driver and rarely the same person taking the call in order - and EVERYONE got it wrong??] I asked for a number to management and was given one. I didn't call because a few days later they did deliver an order to my house for my husband. Today, we are told again they do not deliver to us. The area manager explained that they only deliver in locations that they can arrive in 7 minutes or less during Heavy Traffic - thats how they sell the idea of being super fast. He says the rule used to be 5 mins in Heavy Traffic. This location is on Hwy 150 in Hoover, which has several traffic lights. Honestly, I doubt they could make it to the Target across the street in 7 minutes during heavy traffic. So, in a moment of petty pissed... I asked for a contact e-mail for the owner. Simply to state these facts and keep it moving. This area manager, Jay, said the owner does not allow him to share his name! Then gave me a number to corporate, after telling me that these complaints go directly back to him (Jay). The person that transferred my call to Jay refused to give me her name, as well. Prior to this entire call, I was hung up on when I asked to speak to management (which is why I asked for the young lady's name when I called back). Anyhow, he ended with.. 'they' may re-zone in the future to include our address & they'd be happy to have the business! Well, from June until January... It seems that I was in the zone. This 1 star rating is purely due to customer service. The sandwiches are decent cold sandwiches, in my opinion; however, my husband and son really enjoyed them and ordered regularly. This particular location is not 7 mins in "Heavy Traffic" from very much at all far as residential area is concerned. Rant over. read more

Jimmy John's never disappoints. The staff is very helpful. Be sure to have your order ready as they will call you out. I always opt for the Gargantuan (genoa salami, sliced smoked ham, capicola, roast beef, turkey & provolone, French bun then smothered with onions, mayo, lettuce, tomato, & Italian Dressing) It's enough for two meals! I order The Who pickle sliced into to fourths so it's easier to eat. The regular chips are so addictive! I could eat two bags! They need to stop accepting delivery orders. Only one driver at noon, means you have to wait an hour 1/2 + for your food.

I really enjoy the employees @ this store. They know me as soon as I come in the door. They're always welcoming, smiling & engaging. I ordered lunch today and after almost an hour I tracked my order again and it said it had been delivered but it had not. When I called, the guy immediately said he had taken the food to the wrong house even though I had not even given him my address. I was frustrated and asked what the problem was there because I have ordered from them several times and they always mess up my order (leave something off and takes an unreasonable amount of time) and the guy yelled at me and said he would void my order. He didn't say I'm sorry and we'll try and do better and we'll get your food out as quick as possible.
