    Homestyle chocolate chunk cookie
    Lucy T.

I love Panera Bread. It's always nice and relaxing to come here for me. It's clean, quiet, and who doesn't love the smell of freshly baked bread? You could spend hours here studying or working. I'm no longer in school and can't take my work home with me (Small perk of a hospital job!). I came here the other day for an afternoon pick me up snack. I got one of their new menu items...the homestyle chocolate chunk cookie. I love chocolate chip cookies so I was excited to try it! It was just okay. Not my favorite. The kitchen sink cookie is probably still my favorite. I like that this cookie was big and chunky, but I would have liked if it was a tad sweeter. The staff here is so friendly so I would definitely come back to this location.

Breakfast quiche is great from Panera. I work next door and we frequent this location. Food is fresh and made fast to order. I recommend!

I love coming to this Panera to study. The staff are very nice and respectful, and the food always comes out on time. As a college student, it has been difficult to maintain adequate study habits due to libraries being closed because of COVID-19, so i'm glad that Panera is allowing dine-in. They offer the perfect study atmosphere, outside sitting, and of course free wifi. If coming to study, I would recommend getting here early because a lot of tables/booths are closed off to enforce social distancing.

I had the beef sandwich. The bread was delicious and had some type of pickled vegetable on it. The turkey stew was also good.

The servers were really nice and friendly. The butternut squash soup was really nice thick and creamy. I felt like the portions were just right and I did not feel like anything was too greasy. It is a great place to eat with your friend or significant other. I thought it was a very cool vibe and matched the name of the restaurant! Because this is located downtown, there is street parking, or there is a parking garage down the road where you can park.

Parking was a bit difficult on this day, but that's to be expected with the holiday shopping traffic. I love Brick & Tin. It's upscale Panera in the best way. Their brisket sandwich and soups are absolutely incredible. I always recommend this place if you're looking for a nice, fast-casual lunch. I got the farro half salad and added chicken. This was the perfect lunch. Great flavor, squash, some greens, farro to keep you full (I believe this is an ancient grain), I feel like I checked every box on being healthy for the day. The dressing is delicious and not overdone. They've got bar seating, two tables for larger groups, and then booth seating along the walls. It's a farm-to-table vibe in here, and the food certainly matches. I've never been disappointed by anything from here. I need to try out their downtown location next!

A family member selected Culinary Dropout due to numerous high reviews. I made a quick online reservation due to my great fear there would be a long wait. Upon arrival, the restaurant had no visible wait but they were busy though not full. We were seated promptly at a nice clean and comfortable booth with not shared long bench seating, as is my preference. The menu was not too long but offered a nice selection of cooked to order selections. The server was very courteous and thorough. For appetizers, we ordered the Whipped Feta & Tahini Dip and also the Soft Pretzels & Provolone Fondue. Both had excellent flavors. I was especially taken by the latter as the soft pretzels worked so well with the gentle, warm and creamy fondue. As we were all quite hungry, we also shared a variety charcuterie platter. The selection of cheeses, meats, honey and olives were delicious. The astute server took it upon herself to add on for us some crusty bread which really added to our enjoyment. For entrees, our family had Butternut Squash and Kale Salad with Chicken, Crispy Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Prime Rib Dip Sandwich and I enjoyed the Turkey Pastrami Sandwich. All were very much enjoyed with premium ingredients and meat cuts. Aesthetically, the view from the restaurant is quite nice as it is up higher along the ridge line. The general shopping area of The Summit is completely and totally safe being just off Highway 280 and further from questionable downtown Birmingham. The restroom was spotless as was the entire restaurant. There is also a bar with high seats in the middle of the restaurant. I am betting the happy hour drinks here are quite good. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

The staff checked on us frequently. We got an order of the pork belly nachos - so much food, but good. A wise choice for a meal or for an appetizer for the table. With our other food, we came close but were unable to finish it! We also got a small charcuterie tray sampler - grilled bread, meat & cheese, nuts, and some grilled asparagus - very tasty. We had ordered the truffle pizza - truly one of the best pizzas I've ever had - but were so full, we ended up getting it to go and ate it the next day. I look forward to coming back soon.

Soup changes daily and this day was chickpea and chorizo. Nothing life changing about it but it wasn't bad. We walked into a small, dark, crowded dive bar and ordered amongst several other people after waiting in line shoulder to shoulder with other customers. I say this not to complain (because with a crowd like this on a random weekday, they're obviously doing something right) but to take your kids in car seats (‍) with caution. Crowds in small spaces stress me out and it would have been even worse if we'd had the boys with us. I'd also highly suggest going on a day when you can sit outside. There's very minimal seating inside. They do have a lovely, spacious patio that also feels like a garden with plenty of trees for shade. However, they make it clear they don't want dogs there. Parking was horrific. A narrow street with cars on each side. We barely fit through it. If there wouldn't have been an open spot on it, I'm not sure what the next option is because I didn't see anywhere else and this street only held so many. I would dine here again because the sandwiches were fresh and delicious and they obviously know what they're doing! I was pleasantly surprised that they had prosecco as well. Just heed my few warnings and you'll enjoy as well!
