I have visited this Jimmy John's several times during the lunch hours and each time the experience is very pleasant. I would recommend this sandwich shop if you have never been to a Jimmy John's and even if you have tried it out before. There is ample parking and every time I have walked in, I have been promptly greeted with a smile. The space itself is always very clean and you don't feel cramped if you eat in the building. As they say, they are "Freaky Fast" with making the sandwiches which is the best part. If you have never been to a Jimmy John's your sandwich will be made within what seems like a short minute! Every sandwich that I have ordered so far has been delicious and is on par with the other Jimmy John's that I have dined at. The selection of sandwiches is great and the bread is very fresh and tasty. Give it a shot if you're in the area and need a good bite for lunch! read more

Not much can go wrong at JJ's except perhaps the bread not being fresh. That was not the case for me. I've been to this location twice and both times the sandwich was fresh including the meat and veggies. JJ's has ruined me for other sub sandwich restaurants? The primary difference with JJ's is that the meat they use has actual flavor. Other places often lack distinct differences between beef, Turkey etc. My only complaint is with what seems to be a vending issue. The ice machine use small cubes. This is what i've found at any JJ's location. Small cubes melt twice as fast and ruin the soda. When ordering to go, this ruins the meal. *Please change the ice machine to a larger cube* read more

Lifted the bottom of my mask off my mouth a little with my mouth still totally covered, with plexi glass in front of her so she could hear since she didn't seem to and she corrected me that it wasn't protecting anyone. I got the Unwich and was happy as a clam! My husband and son were less satisfied because they were a little stingy on meat but they do have signs showing prices for extra meat on the menu so we should have taken that as a hint. The store was immaculately clean and customer service was a 10! I ordered through the app and just went to the store to pick up, but everyone working there was friendly and pick-up went smoothly. Their cookies are awesome (AND HUGE) and somehow they make me like pickles again. Let me start by saying that I love Jimmy Johns subs !!! I used to go to the one in Crystal City, VA all the time when I worked there, so I was very excited when I found out one was going in down here in Lexington Park, MD. This store has just recently opened, so I had to go there and get some lunch. Unfortunately, this experience was not very good. it all starts when you walk into the store. It looks like a regular Jimmy Johns, same menu, same uniforms, same everything. great start. However, that's where it ends. I'll start off by saying that the music they were playing was pretty loud. For a shop of that size, it drowned out almost every other sound. that is until you go to order. I don't know if it was a natural thing, or a result of the loud music, but the woman taking the orders was basically yelling at you as you placed your order. I'm not used to being yelled at to communicate when I order food... Next was the food. The bread at Jimmy Johns is by far the best tasting bread of any sub shop. again, this place fell short when it came to food. Sure, the great bread was there, but that's it. I ordered a #5 Vito sub. There was so little meat on the sub, I thought they had forgotten it. They were even kinda cheap with the veggies as well. Probably the thinnest sub I've ever seen in a sub shop. My wife on the other hand had a BLT sub. As with mine, it was very short in the bacon, but here was overflowing with lettuce. She basically had a lettuce sandwich. Both subs were VERY disappointing !!! In addition to the subs, the fountain drinks tasted off as well. Not sure what it was, just not the best. This experience was very disappointing since I am such a fan. Not sure if / when I would ever be back to this store. I'll continue going to JJ's but just maybe not this one. read more

Here today with the hubby @ 1400. Empty parking lot, which was good. Walked in the door & the girl behind counter was too busy having a personal conversation with her coworker to greet us. Our table was dirty, which was unacceptable since we were the only customers there. They finally decided to clean some tables...with WINDEX...wth? Someone please explain to me why that is. Then they decided to re-stock the chip display. Ok I thought, might be able to redeem themselves to a degree. Nope. They were THROWING the chip bags from behind the counter to the other employee who was restocking it. Completely unprofessional. My husband and I could've been secret shoppers or friends of the manager. Being a true Jimmy John's fan I can only hope that with time this store rises to true Jimmy John's standards. The JJ shops I have gone to in the past have always asked if I wanted my Vito sub cut in half to which I always reply with a yes. When I wasn't asked by the young lady taking my order, I initiated the ritual and asked to have my sub cut in half and got a surprising..."we don't do that, but I can give you this plastic (picnic) knife to do it yourself". They need to pick up the pace of making the sandwiches as well to live up to the "Freaky Fast" motto. I will give it another try with the hope that in time, management will learn to trust the workers and allow them to use a knife. read more

I just ordered Jimmy Johns for my second and final time. I should point out that I work at a delivery restaurant in town, and we have a sandwich menu amongst other items; this forms the basis for some of my expectations. I went in last week for a to-go order; having never eaten there before I figured I would order 2 different sandwiches (halved) and my special lady and I would share. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with cheddar to start, but was informed they only had provolone...WHAT!? Next I ordered their Italian sub-since I don't like onions, and my lady doesn't like hot peppers; I requested to them both on the side; and I explained that since I was driving my lunch across town, I needed the dressing on the side as well (partly because: when I deliver any food item that comes with dressing, it comes on the side...but MOSTLY, because: who wants to try and handle any kind of bread after it's been stewing in any kind of liquid for more than a few moments!?)-I was informed that not only were they not supposed to do anything like this, but that: aside from a styrofoam cup, there wasn't anything for them to put the dressing into...WHAT!? Just the same the woman making the sandwiches said she could wrap it up for me-GREAT! Upon starting the first sandwich, the woman making them didn't put the pepper on the side, so the guy who took my order corrected her-and she immediately became upset. I told her that it wasn't a big deal (as the peppers were the first thing she'd put on the bread), that they just needed to be on the side, but she insisted that she had to throw it out and start over. I could see that she was irritated with me so I just walked away from the counter to give her some space. A few minutes later my order was called out. I walked over and the same woman handed me my lunch. She then proceeded to ask me where I was headed; I told her across town (about 15 minutes away); to which she replied "Oh, well that's not very far, I take my kids to school over there." Well that's great, do you soak them in oil and vinegar first, because, they probably feel pretty soggy by the time they get to school!? To top it all off, when I got home the only thing on the side was the hot peppers. Womp. Womp. Womp. I decided today that even though I was irritated with the experience, I had heard plenty of good things about them and that they were worth another shot-what a mistake. I ordered a tuna and a gargantuan (no onions, with the dressing on the side) I was instructed that they would not put the dressing on the side, and since I didn't want a gargantuan mess on my hands when I got home, I had to forgo the dressing. What a disappointment-wholly. So disappointing in fact that I decided to go home and CREATE a Yelp! Account. Fortunately for me, stacking meat and cheese on bread is not a complicated manner.
