I made a order online while at work, been on a 12 hour shift and haven't ate all day, I accidentally put the order date for the next day and they called me to see if it was a mistake, it was a mistake so they told me to come in and they will ring me up again. This was my first time at Jimmy John's and its not the same experience you'd have at a subway. You tell the cashier exactly what you want to order up front and as soon as the order is placed, there's staff on the side creating your sandwich. I ordered a slim 4 unwich which is turkey wrapped in lettuce for 4.99, added cheese for an extra $1. I enjoyed both the healthy unwich and not so healthy cookie, very much! The staff was friendly and helpful with the selections. Most likely will return soon! read more

First time trying Jimmy John's and definitely not disappointed at all. I am VERY PICKY and usually don't buy sandwiches out because they always taste blah like subway. Normally, I'd give this location a 5 star rating. But not today. I go here a lot and today on my lunch break, I walked straight to the counter, no line, where two employees were counting cash and carrying on a conversation at the cash register. Neither looked up or acknowledged me. Another employee who was at the sandwich making station said, "Hello." Another guy on the telephone made eye contact with me. But not one of the about 10 people behind the counter asked if they could take my order. I literally stood there for 5 minutes, not 2 feet from the two money counters and not one person helped me. I was on my lunch break today and wasn't going to just stand around; they just lost my business. I think the manager may want to talk to his/her employees about customer service. I was there at about 2:00 pm. Maybe they all take a lunch break at that time? And what if one of the "money counters" was a manager?! So disappointing. read more

Left my purse on a chair during lunch rush hour. Eight hours later I realized it! Called them up and they had it in storage safe and sound. I'm so happy that there is still honest people out there. Oh and Jimmy Johns been having some bad rep with their veggies these days but my sandwiches and food didn't leave me sick nor nauseous so I think it just depends on the location and specific veggie vendors. And the pre-order feature is neat too, your order is labeled and waits on a shelf- go in and grab. No need to stand in line or speak with anyone. I gave 4/5 stars because the parking lot isn't great; minimal spaces and tight squeeze for passing cars. read more

Placed an order at 11:55 for delivery, it's 12:55 and it hasn't come yet. So I call, and they hang up on me. I call back and am put on hold for 4 minutes. Finally talked to someone who said they don't have delivery drivers today...That my food was going to be picked up and delivered by door dash. I asked to speak with a manager and the worker got flustered and said , "I'm the manager right now." I asked how long till my food will arrive, they said they have no clue, just whenever door dash picks it up. I got a text from door dash saying my order would arrive at 1:38!!! I got another text saying that my order was delivered, and I hadn't gotten it! They delivered it to my neighbor. Luckily my neighbor called me to let me know, but I didn't get my food until after 1:40! How long were my sandwiches sitting out for? That's totally unacceptable! No compensation whatsoever. I called again and the employee just said there's nothing they can do. They should have at least given me a credit of some kind. Definitely won't be getting anything from this location again. They have messed up to many times. They were great when they opened, but have really gone downhill. read more

We are huge Jimmy John's fans. We started when we lived in Oklahoma and when we moved back here it took a few years but we are so happy that they've expanded. We go to the Lakewood location pretty much every other week. Jimmy Johns as a restaurant definitely gets 5+ stars. The food is so fast fresh and delicious. It's inexpensive and my whole family loves it. We haven't had a bad experience until now. I placed an order through the new app 15 minutes before arriving. Then I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for two sandwiches. Two sandwiches 30 minutes. That's freaky slow. There was only one other customer in the store. It was bizarre. No one seemed to know what was going on. I asked what seemed to be the manager or the person in charge why it took so long. He said they had to help in store customers first. There was only one other customer in there and he still hadn't gotten his food when I left. We won't be back to this location for a while. They need better training. Lakewood is an excellent location try that one. read more

Though Jimmy John's have some of my favorite sandwiches, this review is about their service. I placed an order for delivery and it took 55 minutes to receive. My friend placed a separate order to same address and didn't even receive her order. I wrote a review in more detail of what transpired on their company website. Jimmy John's opened nearby and they sent a bunch of mini sandwiches to the office in hopes to gain some business from us. It freakin' worked because I ended up going there for dinner the next day. I tried both their italian sandwich and their turkey avocado sandwich, which were both good. For dinner, I ordered my own turkey avocado sub sandwich and ordered a roast beef sub sandwich for my mom. When I came in, I made my order with the staff who were really friendly. My order was made very quickly. I munched on my turkey avocado sub, and my mom enjoyed her roast beef! I told my fiance about my dinner and how much I enjoyed it, that he ended up getting Jimmy John's for dinner as well (in Dallas). He enjoyed his gargantuan sandwich (which is pretty much all the meats in one sandwich) My fiance and I were discussing about our sandwiches and we concluded that the bread is the reason why the sandwiches are so good. It was soft, and tasted great! Also the bread remained good after being in the fridge for a day... which is unheard of! I really enjoyed my leftover sandwich the next day! Just average. I am sure most people will find this type of fast deli ok. Had the original turkey asked for no mayo and they failed on that request. The bread was your regular soft type baguette like you get at a Jersey Mike's or Subway. There is one of the best delis just a couple blocks away called Rocco's which is one of the best Delis in Long Beach / Signal Hill. So why would I want fast food deli when I can get the real deal just a few blocks away. read more

All in all I love their sandwiches, they are very generous with their meats and cheeses, and I appreciate that they offer a lettuce wrap instead of bread option. I do, however, have a bit of an issue with their "loyalty rewards". Buy the equivalent of $20.00 in eats and as a reward you get a choice of one tablespoon of their Jimmy John's Ranch, which if you ask nicely you'll get for free, or you can get a bag containing 12 to 15 potato chips or a fairly yummy pickle. How bout a free sandwich after spending X dollars or after X sandwiches and make the expiration a bit longer. It almost feels like being hustled. It's a nice change from Subway and Jersey Mikes and a welcome addition to our neighborhood. read more

This Jimmy Johns in signal hill has gone above and beyond to take care of their community! I have been regular customer to them and work right across the street at Long Beach Mini. On my third visit the owner Bryant asked me "about how many people work over there at your dealer?" I said "about 35" so what happens next? He and an associate came with boxes of sandwiches and house made ranch for everyone! Not just the Mini employees but for the employees of the body shop and recon company on site as well! Then i go a couple more times... AND Silvia i believe out of no where gives me my lunch for free for my loyalty. Great store with great people taking care of their own. Keep it up! read more

My first time here and I tried their turkey avocado sandwich and I added bacon! Omg it tasted so fresh and good. Their veggies are even delicious. I think I love it more than any other sandwich place! I placed a phone order and the girl was super nice and friendly. Well let me tell you they deliver at no additional cost and they got there 10 MINUTES after I called!!! Super fast service and friendly. I loved it! I recommend this place and their food. The customer service here is a joke. We order our food and then as the meal was half way made the girl noticed she charged us for the wrong size sandwich and said she needed to charge us for another 8 inch sub... which would have been over the price of the original 12 inch sub that we had originally ordered. Another male worker then came to void the transaction even though we stated that we would just take the 8 inch the original worker had charged us for. Then when we asked when the money would be returned they said they didn't know. So we just decided to leave and the employee very noticeably rolled their eyes and murmured a rude comment under there breath. I worked in the fast food industry and here's a tip... if YOU messed up that's not on the customer. YOU didn't read back the order to them and verify before taking payment... this isn't the first time this has happened at this location either. read more

This location opened pretty recently. I visited at lunch last week and ended up very happy with my choice. I had only been to a Jimmy John's once or twice before, and the day before I went to this one, I had eaten a sandwich for lunch at a local deli. This sandwich was actually way better. They have this loaf-style wheat bread that they make...it is sooooo good! I got a turkey sandwich w/their to-go lunch box that comes with chips, cookie & a pickle.
