For me I get my Double Double Animal style with extra grilled onions, order of fries and a drink. I guess they have that on the menu at a #1. The one other girl on the crew want her Double Double Protein style, meaning it's a lettuce wrap with no bun. But then she want fries animal style ... so much for cutting the carbs! The rest of the guys get what I have. The food is up in not too much time and I go up from our table and get it from the counter. It all looks yummy as hell like always. The burgers were flavorful, but they were smaller than I expected for the price, and they don't come with fries. To round out my meal, I ordered the poutine fries. They were decent. The fries were nice and crispy, which I appreciated. My husband ordered the Burger Don Chendo, and that ended up being the standout of the night. I usually don't like spicy food, but this burger had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but between the long wait, the incorrect order, and the portion size for the price, the experience was a bit hit-or-miss. I'd be willing to give them another try, especially for the Don Chendo burger, but I'm hoping for a smoother experience next time.

We've passed by this location many, many times, and I mistakenly grouped it with the many other male name hamburger walk-ups in Long Beach, but owned by Vietnamese (the name 'Tam' was supposedly just made up, to represent an easy-to-remember name for the restaurant). So we planned a Friday lunch date (bit before noon). There was a long drive-thru line which blocked parking spots, but my wife patiently found a good spot for easier exiting. It's a typical fast food set-up, with ordering and paying (CC accepted) done first, with the food being picked up once your name is called. It was busy, with most people getting pick-up or drive-thru, thus took a little bit of time for our food to be prepared, but was nicely served fresh and hot (which makes a huge difference for greasy food like this). Pastrami Sandwich Special ($19.99) - the thinly sliced beef was stacked high, on a non-descript hoagie roll, with a few pickle slices and cheese to dress (so the flavor of the meat was important here, and I really liked it). They must go through a lot of these, since the pre-sliced meat was still juicy, not having sit around being kept warm. The combo came with really good thick cut fries and a soda (Coke products, assuming no refills). We ended up splitting the sandwich, and half of it would have been enough to fill me up. I understand now why this version of pastrami would be a good choice for a burrito or to top fries. Patty Melt ($5.79) - this was OK, a good way to cheaply satisfy hunger pangs. It had been griddled well, to give the hearty bread a satisfying crunch...but it was really oily (mainly from the oil used to grill). Fried Chicken Sandwich ($11.99) - my wife like this, with it using the same soft bread as the pastrami, but this dressed with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. They use pounded breaded chicken patties, definitely the way it was made in the 80's before Chick-fil-e became the norm. There is a web site for Tam's Burgers, but it is for the restaurant chain located in the Inland Empire (split off from this original branch in 1992). There is no web site for the original Tam's locations in LA County (which means any search on the web for official pages, only brings back the IE ones), but watchers of the 2022 Super Bowl would have noticed a two story replica of their 21st store at the half time show. Each store is semi-autonomous, with this being the only location in Long Beach, named #44.

But the issue is I drove from work to get it. And I'm not about to bring it back. That is an inconvenience. Also I did not like the fact that when I asked to speak to a manager, she said what is the problem. Then I had to ask her are you the manager, then she said yes. I asked for her name and she mumbled something. But my real issue is now the overall experience. The lack of concern and the way she handled my complaint. Now you might be thinking I'm just a critic. But that is not true. I have changed my opinion about this place due to my findings. Also it is such an inconvenience to leave my job, drive back down there. When I don't like how they handled the situation in the first place. But if you want to continue to eat there. That is your business, but I'm not a happy camper with my experience.

Price wise both are $2 a wing normally so GeeKo lost on the special Wednesday price. 2. Size of the wings, GeeKo won hands down here although more batter on them makes them seem bigger than they are. Both sets of wings were meaty. 3. Portions, Rally's does a 5 and 10 piece, GeeKo does 8 minimum so if you aren't sharing or hungry enough Rally may be a better choice. 4. Flavor of their BBQ sauces were similar Rally more smoky and GeeKo more tangy. 5. Both were cooked perfectly 6. If you like your wings extra saucy then GeeKo is your go to, I prefer dry rubs and lighter sauce levels so for me Rally won that race. All in all a surprisingly close race, Rally wins for me on price, portion and sauce level! I figured no way Rallys wings would even compare to GeeKo.

Came in to try this place twice and ordered once for delivery (by the way the drivers expect a tip but you don't have to tip them at all) and on both times didn't like the feel here. and to be honest it seems like the managers and 2 owners Brandon and Bryant don't know what they are doing the majority of them look confused. First off if you do choose to eat here which I highly don't recommend ! always order your food to go it comes out a lot cheaper that way, if you say for here they charge you about a dollar more in tax. And at the same time when you do order to go they don't even bag your food or put a napkin and menu in it they expect you to do it yourself. It has came to my conclusion that they are "tightwads or cheap" and obviously are trying to conserve as much products as they can. but doing this ultimately takes away from a great customer experience. They also read out your sandwich which gets sort of confusing say if you and another person ordered the same sandwich or very similar to it, what they need to do is take your name and call it out when your order is ready common sense to the owners especially during lunch rush. I also sort of feel for some of the employees there in particular one of the owners there "Bryant" doesn't know most of the time how to talk to his employees in a professional manner it seems when I went in there during those two visits he tends to raise his voice to some of his employees. seems to me like he doesn't really know how to manage his stress level. He has also made a few offensive comments towards some of them which in my view is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. On top of that they pretty much charge everything separate they have no such thing as a "combo" if you do get a combo I have realized based on my receipts that they only give you a 10 cent discount believe me on this one this is how they make their money. They also charge a dollar for cheese(only provolone which sucks) to the sandwiches that don't come with cheese (rip off) and try to sell you a large drink when you deliberately asked for a medium drink. I have never been more unsatisfied in a fast food restaurant. People trust me don't come here you work too hard to be spending your money here, you are a lot more better off going to subway or jersey mikes where you have the ability to choose from a variety of cheeses and bread(other than french and wheat) and a lot more sauces and ingredients to add to your sandwich, jimmy johns is pretty limited they really lack selection and variety go anywhere else other than this place ! also their outside seating is horrible the chairs are way too hard and uncomfortable to sit and relax on. also since they deliver it gets pretty annoying waiting in line when there are a lot of bike delivery guys bumping into you rushing to reach to the screen. The only good thing is if something violent happens there the police station is right across the street, other than that this place is not worth a star. Also the Manager/Owner "Bryant" I believe his name is comes across as pretty rude in my opinion with a few of his customers and employees which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I came here yesterday and got the eight-inch double provolone sandwich. It only cost $4.25, which was good. Parking is tough for this store, which seems to cater a great deal to courthouse visitors and those going to the police station. Nice, newer place. They are trying hard to do a good job. read more

Yes, the drive-thru line can be long, but that's part of the In-N-Out experience. In my opinion, it's always worth the wait. Consistently good food, delicious shakes, friendly service, and prices that are hard to beat!

Their chili was still good as before. Makes me wonder why I haven't been back. Nothing really changed except for the prices lol still same old good chili cheeseburger. Service was ok. The tomato was hard, the bread was disappointing, and the overall presentation was not as appealing as expected. He also felt that the flavor and quality were noticeably below what he normally associates with Tommy's. The service from the night crew was also disappointing. About an hour before closing, he was told that the ice cream machine had already been turned off and that they did not want to turn it back on. He would give the Los Angeles location five stars, but based on the food quality, presentation, and service during this visit, he rated the Long Beach location three stars.

I went the other day and ordered a double cheeseburger for myself a cheeseburger for my wife and a large order fries to share with each other. It's a small place that seems to need help. They had a help wanted sign and they need an experienced line cook. When I get there, there's an older gentleman and two ladies helping out. It's definitely a cute little place. I really like all the signage and it's a very classy looking. They have a drive-thru and they didn't take long for me to get my order. They also work with DoorDash.. The food was good. My wife enjoyed hers with the yellow peppers, and she was happily surprised to see pickled carrots. The fries were crispy, and my burger was delicious. A friend told me their chili cheese fries are good and next time I'll have to try those. Overall, a decent experience, and I'll definitely come back again.

On this Sunday, my wife, her mom, and I made a conscious effort to dine-in for lunch. It ended up being a really good experience. Parking can be found in the dedicated surface lot in the back. The drive-through goes through the same lot, and it was busy. The walk-up was not, with no line. The friendly cashier asked if we wanted to order, and didn't mind at all that I didn't get in line until I knew what to get. It's order and pay, with a cash register probably from the 70's (though they do take credit cards through a separate machine), so no itemized bill here. The food does get delivered to your table (it's a very small dining area with probably 6 booths), and you self-bus (strangely they didn't have a garbage can...instead two used dish containers: one for the reusable baskets and one for the garbage). The order is taken by hand on an old diner type notepad, so asked for the order to be repeated back to me, and the cashier did it was a smile. My mother-in-law treated, and she got a Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich Combo ($11.99) with a Pepsi and fries. It comes with a sauce, so chose thousand island on the side. She really enjoyed it, eating the whole thing and most of her fries. My wife got a plain jr ch. burger ($4.99). I got a 1/4 hamburger ($6.69) with everything on it and a request for extra lettuce (which was ignored...sigh). The lettuce is shredded, and the burger patty is char-broiled on a gas grill. I liked it, definitely reminding me of a whopper in its size and use of charred meat. The smell of burning beef fat can definitely be smelt outside. A small chili cheese fries ($8.69) was delivered as the side with my burger and it was very, very good with a mound of shredded cheese on top. Definitely needed a fork with that. Also got a strawberry shake ($7.29) which we shared. It tasted like it was made from real ice cream, and was great, especially with the large dollop of canned whipped cream on top. What I'll remember about this visit: -- the genuinely kind cashier who also delivered our food, one plate at a time as it was prepared. This meant the food was delivered fresh and hot, and it was our choice if we wanted to wait for all plates to come (which took a little bit) before we started. I much rather have this, than other places where they will wait till all dishes are plated before delivering, often meaning one or two dishes are cold before even coming to the diners. Definitely was the reason why this was bumped up to a five. -- the chili here is the kind I really like, and one of the best I've had in the area. It would have been great even as just a bowl, and was delicious. My wife and I ended up finishing the entire chili-cheese fries, and it was a big portion (and the fries were not the best...wished it had been fried longer).
