Cambodian beef sticks with pickled veggies
    Devi S.

This restaurant serves delicious Cambodian beef sticks with pickled veggies!! We got complimentary soup. The jasmine rice came out perfect with their catfish filet. My son inhaled it all!! The service is friendly and quick. The ambience is family oriented and lots of seating.

All the employees were so nice and sweet! Oxtail was very tender and soup was rich and clean at the same time. Street parking's a bit tough but you can pay to park right across the street. I'll definitely be back.

Parking is quite challenging, luckily I was able to find some in the front curbside as place wasn't packed during my stay. Ordered Rib Noodle soup 5/5 Portions were good size and the noodles were soft round rice noodles. Broth - more of pork bone broth and less MSG. Side soups that came with the other rice dishes had more MSG. Nephew definitely enjoyed the ox tail noodle soup. Service was excellent as staff checked in a few times to ensure waters were topped off. Bathrooms are very small but equipped with essentials. Overall aesthetics are slightly dingy, but not dirty enough to deter frequenting the establishment.

This was my first time at a Khmer soup spot, and wowww, the oxtail noodle soup was superb! Rich, comforting, and so flavorful. The bread on the side to dip and eat with the soup was delicious and honestly made the whole meal even better. I also got the lychee smoothie, which was perfect, refreshing, sweet, and exactly what I needed with the soup. 5/5 all around. The customer service was amazing too. My server was so sweet and welcoming, it truly felt like family. The restaurant itself is spacious, comfortable, and cozy, which made the experience even better. Loved the traditional Khmer music playing on the tv. Definitely coming back to try the crispy noodles. Definitely coming back.

Food: the oxtail soup was delicious, the broth was very flavorful and the meats were very tender. Love the Chinese donuts as well as the beef noodles. Service: very friendly and attentive. Ambiance: simple and makes you feel like home. They have a karaoke machine as well.

Came here and had the OX tail soup (dry version)- it was really good. I wished they had Phnom Penh Noodles, but they are known for their OX tail noodle soup here. The restaurant was not the aesthetically pleasing, but the service and food was excellent. I would definitely come back and try something different. The owner and our waitress were so friendly- they made us feel like we were family. Definitely family friendly, but you have to finding parking on the street.

Adore this charming place, what makes it are the warm smiling faces. I love the oxtail soup special, as well as the spring rolls. Generous portion and always fresh.

I'm so glad I finally made it to PS Fast Food 168 Restaurant I found them on TikTok the reviews and videos I saw were amazing and all of them recommended that we give them a try and support. It's a mom and pop restaurant located on a busy street with street parking and a small parking lot in back. This neighborhood is hoodish or as they say it's in the hood though the really really hood but it's all good the working class folk in this eclectic neighborhood are cool they mind their business and from what I see it's mostly Cambodian restaurants shops and stores in this area block by block and I like that I'm all about diversity and Long Beach has that everywhere downtown and beyond I walked in and asked to seat myself the staff smiled and the waitress bought me a menu I thought we would have a language barrier and I was wrong her English was good. As I waited it became a bit hot and soon after a man brought a fan near me and the temperature improved it was as if he could read my mind. Let's get to the good stuff. I ordered Beef Rib Kathiew fried bread and passion fruit iced tea. Beef Rib Kathiew Arrived at my table piping hot with two fat meaty and tender beef ribs in a delicious mild and flavorful broth with aldentè noodle's and tiny meatballs sprinkled with fried garlic and minced green onions. Condiments I added a little bit of bean sprouts sliced and jalapeño peppers drizzled on chili sauce, hoisin sauce and crushed red pepper sauce this made the broth kick up 3 notches and I enjoyed a spicy bowl of deliciousness it was soo good hot and rich with butter tender meat. 10/10 It was my first time trying Cambodian Kathiew and my first impression was that it was very comforting and I loved it. Passion Fruit Tea Fruity and lightly sweet just right for me and very refreshing on a hot and humid day in California. 9/10 Fried Bread ( I'm not sure of the name) it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and very good. 8/10 The waitress was a doll I made small talk with her letting her know TikTok brought me here that made her smile and I showed her the videos on TikTok of her restaurant. I settled my bill left a nice tip and assured her that I would return. Please get out and support local small businesses they really depend on us to survive PS Fast Food 168 needs your business and this gal gives them my recommendation and support. Run don't walk and come get you some delicious Cambodian food. Just me Shawn C.

Trying something new with my family and well this was a perfect stop for a quick and easy lunch!! The ladies working here are super friendly and helpful with all the menu options. We ordered the Salt & Pepper Squid for starters and boy was it good!! The dipping sauce was yummy. For main dishes we ordered 2 bowls of Ox Tail Soup and I ordered the Sizzling Beef Dish and if you watch the video it's, definitely sizzling. Drinks we had Tea!!! Everything was great and cooked perfectly so much food we didn't have room for dessert. Next time we will try the Beef Rib Soup that looked great. Inside has lots of room with a cozy feel and the large windows give that old-school diner on the corner vibe. Plenty of street parking and back lot parking so no worries.

If you are in the mood for some good authentic Cambodian food, check out this spot located in the heart of Cambodia Town in Long Beach. It was a cold morning after coming home from a cruise. We were looking for a place to get noodles and soups to warm us up. So happy this spot opened early. We had ordered beef noodle soup and ox tail noodle soup with Chinese donuts on the side. The broth had so much flavor bursting in our mouths. It was that good. Service was wonderful with no complaints. Complimentary iced jasmine tea was provided upon request. We had a great experience and will be returning customers. Can't wait to try out other items on the menu.

The Cambodian food at PS Fast Food is delicious and full of flavors. Love the beef noodle soup and house special fish- it was so tasty! The staff member was helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. The decor felt a little dated, but the place was clean and the food was delicious - which is what really matters.

Parking wasn't too bad since there's a good amount of street parking nearby. There's a bit of a wait, especially on the Sunday I went, but Yelp waitlist makes it much better. It's quite small inside, so very understandable. The menu is quite extensive, with a selection of noodle soups and pan fried noodles. We got the chicken student noodles, which came out rather quickly. I loved the texture of the noodles, as they had that bounciness to them. Portions are big and totally worth it to share among the table. Highly recommend this! Cambodian food is definitely a rarer cuisine to find, so this is definitely a must try if you are ever in Long Beach!

Food also took an incredibly long time to come out even though we only ordered two dishes--student noodles and beef skewers. We also had to wave down a server just to follow up on the iced coffee that I ordered, especially since this was already after the food had finally arrived. Lastly, while it was good that they had their own parking lot, exiting through the almost too narrow alley was incredibly challenging in either direction. All in all, still remain torn about returning.

The meat selection was tough and nearly inedible. I had to discreetly discard it in a napkin, as it felt like chewing on rubber bands. Additionally, the fried rice and sauce accompanying the Lok Lak were excessively sweet. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was the complimentary soup that came with the rice.

The service was EXCELLENT, the decor was beautiful, there were lots of flowers and lavender lighting throughout the venue. With such an elaborate menu and a large group to feed, there was no delay in keeping the flow of dishes in and pick-up of finished dishes. This was a 8-course dinner, served family style. Large platters of food were brought to our table of 8 guests, which was better than a buffet with hundreds of people waiting in line. Course #1 - Khmer Cold Plate with cured meats, shrimp, and pickled veggies. Good combination of protein and veggies. Course #2 - Grilled Beef with Prahok dipping sauce. Good smokey and rich flavor. Course #3 - Crispy Quail - with Khmer seasoning. Very crunchy and different way to eat Quail. Course #4 - Fish soup in a savory broth. I think this should have been Course #2 before the beef entree. Course #5 - Whole fish with pineapple garnish on a bed of noodles. My personal favorite. Course #6 - Lobster claws with Chow Mein, Veggies and Garlic sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed this one! Course #7 - Pork Fried Rice with diced veggies. Rice was definitely a welcome addition to the meal. Course #8 - Taro dessert with Coconut Milk topping. Not overly sweet, a nice way to round out and end the fabulous meal. I am still in awe of the wonderful time we all had. There was a stage and dance floor on the north side of the dining room. The event started at 6 pm, and we expected the seven course dinner to begin around 7 pm, but they didn't start serving until almost 8 pm. By then, everyone was getting hungry. The servers also didn't check on any of the tables throughout the dinner. They simply brought out each course and left. They even started cleaning up about 30 minutes before the event ended. That would've been fine if the tables had been empty, but they actually asked us to get out of our seats so they could remove the table and chair linens. As for the food, some dishes were good while others were just average: Traditional cold plate: 4/5 - I liked the century eggs, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing. Beef steak with anchovy sauce: 3/5 - The beef was well seasoned and nicely charred, but it didn't come with the anchovy sauce that was listed on the menu. House special lobster with egg noodles: 4/5 - The lobster was good, and the noodles were flavorful, but they could've been cooked a little longer since they were a bit too al dente for my taste. Crab meat soup: 3/5 - The soup was thick and flavorful, but it barely had any crab. I'm not sure what else was in it, but it had white square pieces that reminded me of chicharrones with a seafood flavor. House special fried rice: 4/5 - It was flavorful and had plenty of Chinese sausage, but I wish it had more shrimp. Sweet and sour fish and shrimp soup: 3/5 - There was an ingredient I wasn't a fan of. I think they added mint, which gave the soup an unusual flavor. It just wasn't for me. Taro dessert: 4/5 - This was pretty good and was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, I don't see myself coming back to dine here. The food was decent, but there are just too many better restaurants to choose from.

Lately we've been getting their massaman curries which the flavors is really nice. Whatever protein you like. The curries do come with a side of rice but an extra order is alway needed. Love it to have with the papaya salad and larb. All their dishes are great and very flavorful. Spice level varies on what you like but I tend to go with medium and add all the extra spices for myself with their sauce selection. We tend to alway be full even before being asked if we wanted dessert. The food is always amazing and the staff are always friendly and sweet. There's two restaurants that's a door apart and both are great but this one takes the cake for me. It's always a must when I'm in town as I know the food will alway be delicious. Highly recommended. Heads up, parking in the area is a bitch. It's all residential so people tend to stay in or else they're going to lose their spots. Just a heads up.
