Hubby and I had the chicken teriyaki and a cheeseburger with fries. Everything was delicious. We definitely will be coming back.

Today at 5:05p I called to find out what sides comes with a dinner. I was immediately placed on hold by a young lady for 9 minutes . No one ever came back to the phone to say anything! I listened to orders being placed as she continuously greeted customers. At one time I did hear a couple of customers order a dinner and I heard her ask if they wanted fries, salad or half of each. Their online menu does not indicate the sides available. It was at this time, 9 minutes later hung up. I tried to call back and the line was obviously busy. I placed my order online for burgers and fries and drove to pick my order up. It's not what I wanted but I knew what I was getting. When I arrived at the restaurant i asked her name. She said, Kate. I explained what happened and she indicated she forgot about the call. I told her good customer service would have been for her to come back to the phone if even to say, I hadn't forgot about you and will be with you shortly. She admitted I hadn't forgot a valid point. I ordered 2 burgers, a double cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger both with fries. To make matters worse the cheese was not even melted on the burger. Just a cold slice of cheese on both burgers. I had bit into the burger before realizing the cheese was cold and not melted or soft. I'm going to give Poly Burgers a rest. Today's experience was frustrating. read more

The food here is mediocre but the cashier was extremely nice and is mostly my reasoning for 3 stars. She was patient, attentive, and very nice while taking our order. It's a chill neighborhood spot to grab some food to-go or eat in. The problem was when my plain bacon cheeseburger came with piles of 1000 island on it. I returned it and the cashier nicely took it to the window and told the cooks there was an error. One of the cooks argued with her and even told me I didn't order it plain. I told him exactly what I ordered. The cashier went to the back and told him to remake it, to which he finally did. The fries were crispy but no salt and adding the old bay seasoning just messed up the taste. It could have definitely used some Creole seasoning. The burger patty was not seasoned, and I don't eat condiments, so the bacon and onion was left to flavor the burger. It was still very mediocre and served with cold un-melted cheese. I would have given it a second chance if it weren't for the cook but I will not be returning. read more

The center is getting a nice update, but there's still plenty of parking. The service was awesome, but we were told a large fries is a bag full & a medium is half a bag. As you see on receipt we got large, but we only received half a bag. That was disappointing; However, it was enough for us both after all. I got a plain cheeseburger with only mayo and cheddar cheese and was disappointed. Hubby got bacon cheeseburger with cheddar and no tomato and liked it. I'll be trying his burger style next time. The low stars is bec it's nothing special, but an option. Great place if you're on a budget! read more

These burger places all use the same frozen patties from restaurant depot where a slice of tomato on the burger is thicker than the meat. Place on the l Outside looks like it's been abused for years. The inside looks the same. read more

I recently visited PolyBurger and unfortunately had a really unpleasant experience. While drinking my beverage, I discovered a hair floating in the cup. It was pretty gross and completely ruined my appetite. I understand that mistakes can happen, but basic cleanliness and food safety should always be a priority in any restaurant. Finding something like that in a drink makes me question the overall hygiene standards in the kitchen. I hope the staff takes this seriously and improves their sanitation practices so other customers don't have the same experience I did. read more

I've been to Poly Burger's several times for lunch and they have always been pretty consistent. This little burger shop is popular amongst locals. Everyone seems to love their burgers and fries. I personally like their pastrami chili cheese fries, burgers, onion rings and zucchini fries. Besides what I have mentioned, they also have soft serve, sandwiches, salads, and rice bowls. Oh and they have breakfast items as well. Their food is very affordable and the portion sizes are good. And they take card. I wish they offer a drive through but they do not. For this visit I was with 2 friends I ordered the Teriyaki chicken bowl and onion rings, my one friend had the teriyaki burger and fries, the other had a cheese burger and chili fries. The teriyaki bowl was steamed rice with a generous portion on chicken in sauce. The chicken was cooked well the teriyaki sauce was a bit too salty for my taste and I would have appreciated something green. The onion rings were standard frozen rings they were hard and the onion was no longer soft and moist. The teriyaki burger was cooked well the bun was soft there was a generous portion of teriyaki on the top of the burger. The fries were crispy outside and fluffy inside. T the cheese burger was well cooked with a good charred flavor. The chili cheese fries were small in size but flavorful. Service is friendly.the restaurant is clean but warn . There is limited indoor seating and the booths are a bit cramped . Parking is plentiful in the lot shared with the center. There is a small patio. Price wise it was moderate. read more

Honestly, it's hard to compete with Poly Burger (used to be Tommy Burger back in the day). I don't know how exactly they make their burgers or fries but they cook everything to perfection every single time. Every time I think about Tommy's, my mouth waters. I've never once been disappointed in this place and please take it from me--I've lived in Long Beach almost my entire life and Tommy knows what he's doing here. They've got other stuff on the menu too like teriyaki, tacos, quesadillas, seafood, and salads but their specialty are their burgers and fries for sure. And all for a great deal. I also appreciate that they haven't really changed the look of the place; they've kept it looking like it did just when I was a kid. Tried this place while visiting Long Beach for a short trip. The burgers here are amazing. It's not the prettiest place but the food here is great. The place was full both times I visited yet the food came out fast and surpassed the flavor I expected. I really loved the chicken teriyaki plate. It came with huge chunks of chicken that were juicy. That sat on a bed of rice that has soaked up the juice from the meat and was so freakin good. The fries and salad on the plate were great and I was happy with how much good food was on my decently priced plate! Ordered my girl a burger and we shared my fries. She really enjoyed it and said that she didn't expect it to be so good considering it was a small burger spot that didn't stick out at all. Humble yet great is all I can say about this place.
