The very best place to get a sandwich made the way you like it. Now that they offer them toasted, no one compares! Although I gotta say. the number 9 Italian is great cold. Subway, Substation, Blimpies, Firehouse, Newks, Quiznos, SubTomic, I've seen them ALL. So here it is: Jersey Mike's has been my go-to sandwich shop for a few years now, but Jimmy John's is becoming the place. I've been a loyal JM customer for several years, but about a month ago I was low on time and options and slipped into the JJs on Rivers Ave near Ashley Phosphate. The parking lot requires a cool head and a steady hand, but it is manageable. Here is what I found that threatens to replace Mikes Way; the Unwich. Before I go into that- JJ s has always been fast ( freakishly), reasonably priced, the people focused but friendly, and it is never empty of customers and always clean. Plus good tunes. Now, the Unwich. Simple concept: take a sandwhich, leave out the bread, and wrap everything in giant iceberg lettuce and then keep it all together with expertly wrapped and taped deli paper. Pow! You are out the door with about 150 less calories and probably zero carbs. Try the Unwich. Get the mayo, the lettuce says you can. Oh yeah, the rewards program rocks, too. read more

As far as Jimmy John's go, this one was usually good as expected. Prices have gone up, but delivery was spot on, pickle, and cookies very yummy, and sandwich was good and just as I specified. Ordered the California Club. Will order again. read more

This Jimmy John's on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston is one of my favorite places to stop for a sandwich in the area. They have really fast service and can make a quality meal very quickly and it is still very tasty. The location is very convenient to access from the interstate and is easy to get to for lunch or a snack during the day. The staff here is very cool and does a really good job at preparing everything and making sure that the order is made just right. read more

Worst delivery I've ever experienced. They list themselves on DoorDash even though they're not actually affiliated with DoorDash. So you order and have no idea on the status or when it's going to be delivered. I ordered today and it said 20-25 minutes. It's now been 2 hours and I still don't have my food. It will be dinner time before I have my lunch. And when I call the store they're just rude and say they're busy. No update on when it will arrive. No offer to make up for it in any way. Do not give them your money!!!!! If there was an option for zero stars, I'd choose that. so much for "freaky fast." read more

I got the large Italian spicy sub, although the sub was fresh and very good, Delivery was very fast, 25 bucks for the sub with a 20 ounce coke I thought was a bit high. But in a pinch I would probably do it again, after looking at other restaurants. read more

I ordered curbside pick up, but the workers refused to bring out the food and literally called my phone to tell me to come in and get it... there were 3 of them so they can't use the excuse of leaving the store unattended nor that someone was left alone for any period of time. This was ok. Got the exact same #12 as I did in Beaufort yesterday but it just wasn't as good. Even the pickles were bland. And the pickles are what JJ is known for! Not sure why? Are they getting them from a different supplier? I might give them another try in the future but won't be as excited about it as I was today. This is my first time going to a Jimmy Johns sub and I hope it isn't representative of the chain as a whole. The only reason I gave this restaurant two stars was because the staff was super nice and friendly. Our order was taken fast and came out quickly. That said, I got a turkey sub on French bread and it was probably the worst sandwich I've ever gotten from a "sub place " in my life! If I had been eating in, I would have returned it and asked for my money back! The bread was tough as leather. The sandwich itself consisted of turkey, lettuce, and mayo and had absolutely ZERO flavor! I mean it was totally bland to the point I didn't finish it even though I was hungry. In fact the "high point" of my meal was the large coke I got. With so much competition in the market, I can go elsewhere for a sub that has more flavor and with bread that isn't tough! I rarely write negative reviews but aside from having great staff and a clean restaurant, the rest of my "take out dining experience " was just terrible. read more

I am in love with their Beach Club sandwich. It is the perfect blend of turkey, cheese, bread, and avocado. Of the half dozen times I have now ordered it, it has always been a tasty sandwich that is satisfyingly satisfying. Their delivery service is always super fast; however, they often forget a pen if you pay via credit card or they dig around in their pocket for far too long looking for change if you pay via cash. The inside of the restaurant has always been clean albeit empty. I think that may have to do with the odd location off of rivers. None the less, if you are in the area and looking for a sub not named way, then you should hit up Jimmy John's (and preferably try the Beach Club) and be prepared to be blown away. read more

I have ordered from this location several times as I work at Lowe's down the street. Recently I have been eating their sandwiches "unwhich" style trying to cut the carbs out. The first one I got was the gargantuan and today I ordered the club. I added bacon and avocado to both. The gargantuan was absolutely amazing. It was full of meat and cheese and condiments. It was HUGE and never missed the bread. The lettuce wrapped around it was fresh and clean and crisp. Today's was no different except for the meat amount...the gargantuan is significantly more expensive so I went cheaper this time. The results in taste were the same though. I have ordered my lunch from this location many times and I'm always impressed with their speed for delivery. Out of the 20+ times I've had them I've never received an incorrect order! Today we ordered catering for an 12 person meeting and my experience was superb! John called us bc he noticed we ordered 11 bags of chips but only a 15 sandwich platter (which feeds 5-7) I'm so grateful for them catching our error prior to delivery as we would have had some "hangry" people! That could have ended much differently if they didn't take the time to make the call to us. read more

I am a big fan of Jimmy Johns. Their delivery radius is sort of small (how else could they guarantee that freaky fast delivery...) so I do have to actually drive up there when I get the "sub urge". Other than that and the occasional rude employee, I am super pleased. Is it the best sandwich in the world? No, but it is consistently good and cheap. I usually take mine home, but the interior is clean and clutter free, so I'd imagine eating there is pleasant. :) read more

One of my favorite breads from a sub place. Second, the Italian Night Club with Hot Peppers is better than anything JMs has. So, very expensive bland sandwich. No kids menu. And supposedly veggies etc are freebies yet you charge less for a sandwich without veggies, so not free. Charge for cheese etc... Bread was tough. Good side the meat though bland tested really good, fresh, etc. My personal side complaint. I have a two yr old... No kids menu, fine will share. I will start with a positive note: Delivary was quick. Sandwich I thought was decent. However.... I was unaware until we had a problem with our order that we were outside of their delivary zone. While we appreciate them delivering to us, they should have informed us that they could not deliver to us instead of complaining to us about the delivary later. We had a sandwich missing, 3 incorrect sandwiches, and slightly unorganized staff. When we called (2 different times) regarding our incorrect order, we were given a slight attitude. I just think it is inane that an advertised delivery sub shop has a delivery radius of less than 2 miles. I am exactly 2.38 miles from the store. I am on the road that they consider their cutoff, yet they will not deliver. I work at a place where leaving for lunch is hard to impossible at times and I give a lot of business to the local Chinese and pizza joints. I have tried numerous times to have JJs deliver here and they refuse. Again I am on the road they say they "can't go past". Now for a review of the food..... No, just no. I placed an order while working on a Sunday for me and my coworkers. We were super busy and I asked for delivery. We were barely over the cutoff for delivery so I had to juggle work so that I was able to leave to go pick it up. No big deal there. The problem is that one of my coworkers got the wrong sandwich. Not even close to what she ordered. So I called them to let them know it was wrong and they said I could drive back up there to get a new one. I told them there was no way I could leave again to come back up there so they said they could refund her order, but not until the next morning. I asked if they could deliver the new sandwich and they said no because we were out of their delivery area. The inconvenience and unwillingness for them to make this right and go literally a few blocks out of their delivery area is just ludacris. We will NEVER order from this place again nor will the 12 people working here today or their families will order from here. Word of mouth travels fast. Yesterday I ordered a #10 Hunter Sandwich for lunch, which I have had at multiple other Jimmy John's in the past. I took it back to work, opened it up and the bread was BURNT and STALE at the top of the loaf. Seriously??? How is this place still in business when quality controls are so low?
