I'm kicking myself for taking so long to come and get a grinder from Bellacino's! I had one growing up in Springfield and always missed it. I stopped in recently and got their club grinder. It was loaded with turkey, ham, and bacon! I could have used some more cheese (because I love cheese) and some more mayo. Because there was so much meat it ate a little dry and needed extra sauce. But since I took my sandwich home, I was able to dress my sandwich up with more sauce. And cheese! The half 9" grinder was enough for me to get 3 meals out of it. A great value for $10. The bread is made fresh daily and you can tell. It's delicious! I cannot wait to get back here for another meal.

It's been awhile since I've visited a restaurant that made me want to write a review, but I really wanted to share my thoughts on this one. I moved to the Charleston area last year. I've had a hard time finding pizza that I truly like. What I'd been looking for is the type of pizza that real Chicagoans eat. No, I'm not talking about deep dish. Chicagoans really only eat that on rare special occasions or when relatives come to town that want to eat it. I'm talking about Chicago's tavern-style thin crust. I stopped at Harris Teeter on a Friday night and noticed Bellacino's in the parking lot. My husband and I decided to order the smallest pizza (just to be safe), with sausage and pepperoni. When we got home and tasted it, we were blown away with how good the pizza was. And we also wanted more because we got such a small pizza. While it's not exactly the same as the pizza back home, it's the closest thing I can find without having to take a flight from CHS to MDW. Even after trying it, we decided to try a bigger sized pizza the following Wednesday, just in case our previous encounter was a fluke. Well, it was just as delicious the second time around! If you're a Chicago transplant, looking for something similar to tavern-style pizza, give them a try. I'm glad that I did.

Frequent here when we want avoid traffic in other parts of Charleston. Pizza is usually pretty good and we AlWAYS love their Greek salad which has plenty of feta. We attempted boneless Buffalo wings which were just "meh". Not very spicy and no celery or anything. Not my favorite but pizza and salad were both great!

It's a good grab and go stop. However, if you are looking for authentic, Italian pizza, I wouldn't recommend it.

Hmmm. Not sure what to think. I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. I am from out of state…read moreso perhaps that has something to do with it... My husband and I ordered a cheesesteak and an italian sub to share. The sesame seed bread used for both sandwiches threw me off. It tasted like it didn't belong with either one but maybe it's just not the type of bread I'm used to having with these kind of subs? The cheesesteak felt under-stuffed with ingredients while the italian was over-stuffed. The inconsistency made the sandwiches kind of awkward to eat when sharing but they tasted good; both had fresh quality ingredients which I appreciated! I would still recommend checking this place out and deciding for yourself ;)

Been meaning to stop in since I heard a few opened up in the area but this location is super out of the way to me. Had some time to burned today so I stopped in. I got the Italian which was a favorite of mine, and it did not disappoint. Overflowing with meats and cheeses and toppings! If anything it was too stuffed and hard to handle. Tasted fantastic and the sheer size made the price - around $15 for just the sandwich - feel like a decent value at the least. Service was friendly but it took a long time to get the sandwich. Inside is just a basic fast food setup, nothing fancy just a few tables. I'm glad to see Primo Hoagies here in the Charleston area, nice to have them as an option! J.Ja
