I'm kicking myself for taking so long to come and get a grinder from Bellacino's! I had one growing up in Springfield and always missed it. I stopped in recently and got their club grinder. It was loaded with turkey, ham, and bacon! I could have used some more cheese (because I love cheese) and some more mayo. Because there was so much meat it ate a little dry and needed extra sauce. But since I took my sandwich home, I was able to dress my sandwich up with more sauce. And cheese! The half 9" grinder was enough for me to get 3 meals out of it. A great value for $10. The bread is made fresh daily and you can tell. It's delicious! I cannot wait to get back here for another meal. read more

Confused on this one. LOVE the sandwiches. They put them through the pizza oven and they are amazing. They offer the perfect portion sizes depending on your appetite. Super friendly staff and incredibly fast service. Only issue we have is the sauce on the pizza. Took a couple of pies home and the sauce is just too sweet for us. Other than that, cooked perfectly and ready on time. Small town restaurant that you 100% need to give your business to. read more

We stopped in for a late pizza, and Bellacino's served our purpose well. It's a smaller place, homegrown, and the service was friendly and fast. Pizza is a highly subjective food, and I like mine with plenty of tomato sauce and herb flavor as a base for the toppings and cheese. This pizza was good, but didn't meet the mark for me. My wife loved it, especially the crust (which was good, I thought) so she wants to come back. I'll do that, and give Bellacino's a second shot. read more

Cheese steak hero was nearly tasteless which is alarming in itself. Developed the flu not 24 hours after eating there. I've had a hard time finding pizza that I truly like. What I'd been looking for is the type of pizza that real Chicagoans eat. No, I'm not talking about deep dish. Chicagoans really only eat that on rare special occasions or when relatives come to town that want to eat it. I'm talking about Chicago's tavern-style thin crust. I stopped at Harris Teeter on a Friday night and noticed Bellacino's in the parking lot. My husband and I decided to order the smallest pizza (just to be safe), with sausage and pepperoni. When we got home and tasted it, we were blown away with how good the pizza was. And we also wanted more because we got such a small pizza. While it's not exactly the same as the pizza back home, it's the closest thing I can find without having to take a flight from CHS to MDW. Even after trying it, we decided to try a bigger sized pizza the following Wednesday, just in case our previous encounter was a fluke. Well, it was just as delicious the second time around! If you're a Chicago transplant, looking for something similar to tavern-style pizza, give them a try. I'm glad that I did. read more

We have been ordering take out for years from Bellacinos of Summerville. In the past year, the quality of food AND service has gone down drastically. People mess up orders and when you call back to complain they lie about what you ordered. Their sausage pizza used to have big chunks of juicy and flavorful sausage on it. Now it's the tasteless crumbles so small you can hardly see them. And now, for the last straw, they automatically add 8% to your order because "everything has gone up." What?? That doesn't even make sense. Sorry guys, but it's time for us to move on. I think you should sell the place to someone who can restore it to it's previous reputation of the Best Pizza in Summerville. read more

I went to visit family in Summerville this past weekend. We actually ordered food from there 2 of the three nights I was in town. The Italian Cold Cut Panini's were the best. Grinders.... I am from New England and do not hear the word grinder here in the south. So when I was looking for places to eat and Saw Grinder, I had to try. Bellacino's didn't disappoint. This place is great! The service is good and the food is good. Pizza is great. The Chicago Steak sandwich is amazing. I believe it is family owned to. My only complaint...the TV in the dining area has clearly shot the bed and the video of blue. lol. Not bad that the only issue is the broken TV. read more

Frequent here when we want avoid traffic in other parts of Charleston. Pizza is usually pretty good and we AlWAYS love their Greek salad which has plenty of feta. We attempted boneless Buffalo wings which were just "meh". Not very spicy and no celery or anything. Not my favorite but pizza and salad were both great! read more

I'm impressed by the portion size and taste - I was pleasantly surprised by how much food and how good it was - I've wanted to try this place out but never had a chance. So they started off strong. Being from New England in the south I was missing my familiar pizza places. We tried this on a recommendation from a local food group. The first time we went it was AWESOME! Great service and our food tasted amazing. Things have just got worse and worse with each visit. This last time being my final time giving them a chance. I walked in on Friday around 5pm to pickup and the young girl working just stared at me. I said hello and she still just stood there staring. I told her picking up and she asked my name and grabbed my order. Instead of placing it on the counter while I wrangled my child she stood there staring handing me the food order while my hands were clearly full. After I got my child situated I took my food and said oh sorry about that. Again just a blank stare and she walked off. If you don't like your job that much quit. I brought the food home and I wish I were joking. On the pepperoni half of our pizza we had 7 pepperoni in total on the whole thing. The dough wasn't cooked long enough so it was gummy and so dense. I ate a single slice and that was it. I'm not sure what's going on with the place lately but I won't be back anymore. Given them ample chances and they just get progressively worse. I totally get off days but they have been having off days for a while now. Hopefully management can make some changes! Maybe not have 15 year olds working alone ‍ read more

One of the best tasting pizza's Ive had in South Carolina. It's not too thin, not too thick. The dough is perfectly balanced with medium soft under the cheese and CRUSTY crust. The best part was the sauce. The pizza definitely tastes fresh and there's definitely not anything frozen going into that pizza oven. OMG! The Turkey Grinder that I ordered was one of the best tasting sandwiches that I've had in a really long time. The bread was warm and the ingredients all blended with the Turkey to make for an awesome experience. The food took a little extra time but was well worth it. For me, this place was ok. We'd passed by multiple times & decided to stop in for an early dinner. The place was practically empty when we arrived, so there were plenty of places to sit. They didn't have a menu posted, but I found some of the small paper menus near the door, so I assumed that was our option. After looking over the options for salads, grinders and pizza, we decided to try the Brazen Buffalo Chicken pizza. It didn't take forever to get to us, but you could tell that they had to make & bake the pizza. I think that a 16 inch pizza & a drink for $28 is a little pricey, but I was hoping it was worth it. The pizza was just ok. It wasn't bad & it had a lot of flavor, but the buffalo sauce they used seemed like it had a lot of vinegar in or something, which I was not a fan of. My hubby liked it more than I did. I just wasn't impressed with that flavor. Otherwise, the pizza was pretty good. I might come back & try something different, but I'm not in any rush. read more

The tuna grinder is spectacular! Never thought I would eat tuna from a fast food type joint. Worth every bite, you will wipe your mouth from dribbling afterwards. Always consistent in taste and quantity. The place is always clean every time I've been. read more

Haven't been disappointed once from the margarita pizza and the teriyaki chicken grinder. The crust on the pizza honestly tastes nothing like any other locally owned pizza place. The grinder bread is so soft and perfectly crisped on the outside. Very family friendly environment as well. Highly recommend checking out this place! read more

Went into this Summerville gem for a little lunch to go. Small, clean, and later afternoon, so not busy. I ordered the Chicken, Bacon Ranch grinder, housemade French fries and a drink. Love the slightly thicker cut home fries. So delicious. Wished they were In a cup instead of a paper bag, though. The Grindr was delicious- especially the fresh bread. So good! Again. Perfectly cooked, this is not the pizza where crust is left on the plate. It's all wonderful, perfect ratio of sauce, meat and cheese. Been there tonight with the wife and kids for the first time ever. Always heard good things but never really made it until now. The food was very good!! You can tell the bread is fresh and it was so delicious. We had the buffalo chicken pizza and Chicago steak grinder. Personally, I liked the grinder more, but everything was fabulous. The only thing I wasn't a fan of (and am nowhere) is the tip spot on the receipt before even receiving any service. Overall, we'll DEFINITELY be back. read more
