We always try to find good local spots along the way, and I'm so glad we decided to stop here because this place was SO good! There are plants everywhere, which I loved, and it just has such a welcoming feel to it. I got the steak and eggs and asked for my steak medium rare, and they cooked it perfectly! Honestly, probably one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. We also got the honey peach latte and had it made half sweet, and it was amazing. I'm also a sucker for fresh baked goods, so when I saw they had fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, I had to snag one for the road. Overall, we're really happy we decided to make this our stop. Everything was great from the food and coffee to the atmosphere and service. We're definitely saving this spot for the next time we're road tripping through the area. Ned's 5-Alarm Chicken - really good crust and very flavorful. One regret is we didn't go waffles with this. Lemon Poppyseed Slaw - tastes like a classic slaw. A little sweet and creamy. Goes really well with the heavier dishes that we got. The Shrimp Incident - small shrimp and sliced sausage with a Cajun cream sauce and crostini. We thought this was ok Country Mac - my favorite part was the fried chicken as it was very tender and flavorful. The shell shaped pasta was cooked al dente - it was firmer than I would like partly due to the pasta being on the thick side. The Mac is Cajun forward and not very cheesy. Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our meal, but it was definitely on the heavier side and could have used something to balance it out.
