I ordered a Turkey sandwich minus the tomato. It was very sad and sloppy.

They were fast but our subs were both very chewy like the bread was quite old and it looks like I only have like 1 slice of turkey on my whole sandwich. My husbands sandwich wasn't any better.

#14 Bootlegger and a kickin ranch ! YUM!

Ordered online. Went to pick up in store. They did not have my order ready when i got there. I asked girl making my sandwhich if she saw the extras on there because they messed up before. She rudely replied yeah i have the ticket right in front of me. Then I asked for two small sides of ceaser dressing. She did it and it was not full so i asked if she could fill it up a little more. Then she got an attitude and said we will have to start charging you for these. I said they have never charged me before and I even ordered the exact same thing the day before and had no issue. I said it dosn't show it costs on the website, because you can ask for extra dressing at no charge. She said it won't be on the website we charge you here. If im spending my hard earned money on a already overpriced wrap that is almost $11 you really can't give me a side of dressing but want to charge.69! If this is the case i will stop eating there. I love the wraps, but will not spend additinal money on a small cup of ceaser. It's the principle of the matter. When I called up there to ask for her name she would not give it to me and said she is not obligated to do so and just said she was the store manager. I am so aggravated that i went through all this becasue i'm tired of being treated differently every time i go, and when she is there it's never a good experience. No greetings when i walk in, or a smile, or have a nice day. I think the manager and the staff should watch "Give them the Pickle" on customer service. Also please have your employees cover up their beards, I do not want hair in my food.

I don't believe this is normal to still be on the turkey while I'm eating it?!?

Listen, st louis has no shortage of sandwich shops, so to be successful you need to offer a unique enough product that is still approachable, and reliable. Big mouth has mastered the game. The menu is inundated with options inspired by tried and true classics. However, they do not stop there. Each sandwich is inventive enough to create some separation from it's origin. This keeps the experimenters happy, while also catering to the more tame of tastebuds. I went prosciutto. It was incredible. Thin pear, whipped ricotta, pesto, and that salty, thin prosciutto. Every bite gave me a little something different. Some bite had a big crunch full of juicy pear accentuated by the tang of balsamic. Others had a bit of sweetness from the sugars released in the pear juice and caught by the vibrant pesto. Some bite were buttery, with the help of the prosciutto sliced thin enough to read all of the perennial accolades adorning the back wall. The focaccia is art. A dark crust, one you do not see on focaccia. With mega flakes of sea salt. It was fresh out the toaster so as i gripped my sandwich warmth was sent from the tips of my fingers throughout my body as every bite delivered a crunch i am certain the folks dining outside could hear. A legit option in a city with limitless options when it comes to meat between bread

That's Garden Variety Deli. Genuinely kind, cool people who are passionate about their food--and it shows! Plus, farm-to-table produce means you can safely get a salad here even when regular lettuce is apparently giving everyone diarrhea. I had already decided on going with Turkey, again but when I went to the counter to order they were out of the turkey. The staff manning the counter suggested the Roast Beef. I was skeptical as I have my favorite roast beef sandwiches, but I went with it. They are super friendly here and everything is so fresh! I had to go with their suggestion. I added on a peach scone. Took a seat at the counter by the window, grabbed a glass of water from the dispenser and read me book and watched the people till my sandwich was ready. All the sandwiches come on their house made focaccia and it is very good! Roast beef, romesco, pickled radish, aioli, and greens. It was a delicious sandwich, I loved the pickled radish and the whole sandwich had great flavor and freshness that you could taste - just like everything I have had here. I ate half and saved half for lunch the next day. I like scones as they are a nice dough but not overly sweet. This one had great texture and crumb. Love this place, the people and the food are great!

I stopped by on a Sunday just before a rush, so I was able to get my food ordered and made promptly. I just had the spicy chicken katsu sandwich and fries, which was very good. Particularly with the sheer amount fries in the box, you could easily split it. I do want to eventually come by and try one of their desserts, but I was absolutely stuffed after my food, so I did not indulge this time. Considering the serving size, I think the price is very reasonable. It's not a huge menu, but sometimes that's just a sign that they only make what they know they can do well. Highly recommended

I was greeted promptly and then the cashier helped me select some items since it was my first time here. Went with the egg salad sando and togarashi fries and a pork tonkatsu sando with sweet curry fries. They both came with a curry dip. Togarashi is the clear winner, even for a curry fan like me. The decor is so cute, with murals and a variety of seating. There are cards and games in one corner. Note: this is NOT fast food. Ingredients are prepped, but the time it takes to fry a pork tonkatsu is the time it takes. There were only half a dozen people in front of me, but there was a bit of a wait. I'd love to come back and try the taiyaki and fruit sandos. I'll be enjoying my leftovers for the next couple of days. The egg salad sando seems very pricy, volume-wise compared to the pork.
