So delicious! Love the Minnesota and hockey themed vibes, and great outdoor seating. The service was wonderful.

Cute deli with large sandwiches and a variety of side options. Could have split a sandwich between people but was happy to have some to take home. Plenty of soda options and fries were good with tasty homemade sauce. Very friendly staff and nice seating area on the front sidewalk.

    Northstar, sando, lotta meat.

Tried the North star and their feature Sandwich at the time, forgot the name, decent Sandos. Lotta retro stuff all over the shop, was looking for Skeletor myself. Love their trust/honor system, shows love and class. Parking is great. Go tp their website to check out their feature Sando, order online, save some time, and like mentioned before...your order/bag will be ready with your name on it for you to grab n go.

A cute little hole in the wall sandwich deli bursting with meat packed sandwiches and smells. I would recommend ordering online as their ordering method in store is a screen on a kiosk. We ordered for a pick up time at 11:30 and it was done by 11:20. There is very limited seating inside and a small patio on the sidewalk. Pop over to 46th on patisserie while you're waiting for a bit more space. Both sandwhiches were well balanced with saltiness of the meat, creaminess of the cheese. The focaccia was light and bouncy. Pickles packed a nice punch against the ham and pork.

Amazing sandwich shop. Owner is phenomenal and fun to chat with. The menu is everything you want in a neighborhood deli. Good variety of meats. Classic staples with fun twists. Delicious and fair prices. Definitely coming back !!!

I have heard about this place before and it worked out for a friend and I to finally try it out. I didn't have any specific sandwich on my mind, and we were open to trying anything. We went with the Dino Italian, fries, and a brownie for dessert. One sandwich, an order of fries, and a brownie was $30 - a little pricy if you ask me. We asked two people inside eating what they would recommend and they pointed out their favorites, but told us you really can't go wrong - they are frequent fliers. And I know why. Very tasty sub and it was stacked with ingredients. The fries were served with some bomb aioli that made me want seconds. We saved the brownie for later on in the day - oh man, what a letdown. It was dry dry dry! Not a fudgey experience you'd expect for $5. I'd rather have one of my own! Although the prices are on the higher side, everything tasted wonderful (minus the dry hockey puck brownie). Will be back in the future for another sandwich. FYI - there is a kiosk you order on. No available service staff are available. They just place your order on the table when it is finished. Water is available at the front.

This is a hidden gem in Minneapolis. I had a friend date day and we swung in on a whim. Things to know, this is very self service. Grab your own drink, chips sides etc while they make the rest fresh. I will say that I had to ask for a few things not realizing it was a grab yourself but wasn't inconvenient. I ordered the North Star Deluxe, it was larger than expected and delicious. I love that they support local with the bread from Patisserie 46. They also had Minnesota based sodas to order. You can tell the ingredients are fresh. Outdoor seating is limited and indoor seating is even more so. Plan to maybe grab and go. It's street parking but even on a Saturday it wasn't bad. I loved the fun themed decorations. Don't miss this great local deli!

Cozy little spot, not a lot of space to eat inside but outside seating available. Tons of fun hockey memorabilia to look at while you wait for your order. We took it to go and that was smooth! The Cuban sandwich was delicious! The Brussels sprouts were also amazing.

After seeing many videos on social media about this spot, it immediately was added to my list because I love a good deli sandwich. Sunday a friend suggested here, so I was excited to finally give it a whirl. It's a small, cozy deli with VERY limited seating, but lots of fun sports decor to check out. Now for the important stuff....the food, though? Yummmmooooo 10/10!!! I'm not usually a crinkle cut fry gal, but these suckers were delishhhh... fresh, hot, and salted to perfection. Slappin' forsure! We split the Dino Italian sandwich which was a messy little bugger, but SO worth it. The taste of the gardenia was great with each bite. Grab the napkins before your first bite.... I warned you! The hefty hockey puck brownie in the case was staring at us, so our sweet tooth gave into it and ummm, NO go for me (dry and just blahhhh). Something to note: there is basically no staff interaction which felt so odd to me, but hey, I guess it works for them. You order from a kiosk and your order just automatically magically appears on this cart. I plan to return sometime soon to try the crinkle cut fries again and the Zamboni dip or the Northstar deluxe.

Dino sandwich. Has a little kick. Excellent pick for something different.
    Christina M.

Ordered the Dino sandwich which contained a slice of eggplant, + Italian meats. Did not disappoint. This is a place to go and try a sandwich you haven't had before..no indoor seating but a few outdoor tables are just fine and fun for people watching

    Zamboni Dip!

Great service, the guy we were talking with was very nice. The sandwiches we got were great! The Herb Brooks was my favorite and my gf loved the Zamboni Dip which came with jus on the side. There are about a 6 or 7 bar stools inside and a bunch of outdoor seating.

On one side is a meat market with a variety of cuts of steaks, lamb, and other meats, which all looked fresh and quite nice. They also have a variety of items such as canned goods, pasta, eggs, etc. on the shelves opposite the meat counter. The entire place is quite sunny, pleasant, and cozy. On the other side is the eat-in, take-out deli sandwiches, that are made to order. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The bread is freshly made (crispy baguette type) and you have a choice of Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Tuna Salad, Smoked Ham, or Corned Beef. All sandwiches are $16.50 each (including tax) and come with a choice of mayonnaise, spicy stone ground mustard, red leaf lettuce, thin sliced red onion, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, raw grated horseradish, pickled jalapeno, and roasted bell pepper. The default includes all toppings so if you don't want everything, be sure to specify what you do NOT want. Surprisingly, they do not carry any diet soda, nor do they stock any national brands (only local pop). There is a large menu on the wall, and you order at the counter and pick up the order (no table service). The food was attractively presented, and very, very good. My only gripe (besides the lack of diet pop) is that it's on the expensive side for lunch. Two sandwiches, a couple of bags of chips, and a couple of cans of pop will easily top $40, although I'd say the quality is top-notch.

I was on the street in front of Clancy's when one of their customers was mis-identified as an officer of an organization that was terrorizing Minneapolis. It had nothing to do with Clancy's! As I tried to get to my car, people yelled the most obscene and disgusting epitaphs at the couple in front of me. I was just walking down Grand Avenue. They were even spitting at this innocent individual. As a liberal who marched for civil rights and against the war in Vietnam during the 1960s and 1970s, I was horrified. Blaming Clancy's is ignorant, and an integral part of how this country is dismantling. Clancy's Meats & Fish is important to our neighborhood, and represents the kindness and empathy that has been representative of Minnesota for decades. Give them your support.

I really wasn't prepared to spend $15 on a single sandwich though. Listen, everything about this place was fine. Including the sandwich itself (I got the Adult Club cuz I love me some chicken salad, but I should've asked to have the bread toasted... it really wasn't all that sourdoughy in taste either??). I just can't quite get over the amount it cost. Which I guess might be why there aren't any prices listed on the menu signs. Like, my hubbie and I DIDN'T get drinks or chips or a side or dessert. None of that. Just a sandwich for the each of us and it was $30. If we had added stuff, I bet we'd've run the bill up to $50 in no time. For lunch! Gotta be trippin'! I like supporting small local business when I can but I think this place isn't in my budget. Sorry. :( But the employees were nice, the ambiance was cool, the tables were clean, large selection of drinks, very tempting looking desserts, even ice cream, and a community board. Not too heavy mayo or mustard, eggs, soft potatoes with a little chew (perfectly cooked) and red bell pepper. The sandwich was great. Freshly baked bread that was soft. The chicken salad was really good. Again, a great balance of mayo, not too much. They use shredded chicken which is the way it should be done. My friend and I each ordered the Wesley and our sandwiches were ready within minutes. Unfortunately, my order came out as the Eddie rather than the Wesley, but it sounded good so I just went with it. The staff was beyond generous and ended up making the Wesley for me anyways. The Eddie was good, not great. It comes with bacon, turkey, avocado, tomato, lettuce and chipotle mayo. The chipotle mayo was so tasty with subtle heat, and the roll was nice and soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. My only complaint was the meat - the turkey was slightly tough and the bacon was served like a cold cut which didn't allow for much texture differentiation or flavor. The avocado was ripe and creamy and the tomatoes were juicy and fresh. I wonder if cooked/crispy bacon would make a difference in flavor and texture? And then just better cuts of that turkey would have elevated the Eddie in my opinion. Keeping in mind that they just opened, I would not count Little Bird off my list, but I do think there are plenty of other good sandwich shops to check out in Minneapolis as well.
