To me, the best thing about this place is the SUPER fast delivery. I've ordered quite a few sandwiches from this spot. Most recently, I ordered the unwich. It was okay. Recently, I ordered the Vito for lunch. The picture of the sandwich was amazing. What arrived was quite different. It was more like a flattened version of the picture on the menu. I then tried a gigantic Totally Tuna unwich. It tasted fine BUT again, it made me wonder how amazing their photographer must be. (LOL) Rather uneventful experience if you ask me. Again, the fast delivery is phenomenal!

This review is going to be short and sweet! So I've never eaten here before until yesterday for their $1 sub promo. And for a dollar it was pretty good. The roast beef was decent. Now I didn't eat my sandwich right away because I'm not a sandwich person. It's very basic. Not my typical. But since it was a $1.10 with tax I said sureeee why not. Spoil yourself. On my way to Macy's countless of times I remember seeing this small establishment. So of course the line was long. But I was able to make it out in under 6mins. So that's not bad. I truly feel like they need to have a chicken option though. Overall, my sandwich was decent. I ate it today for lunch. And my stomach is confused...But it's really not worth the regular price of $5.99. And cheese is $1 extra...makes you think " I can have it my way at Subway with a footlong" But again, I don't eat sandwiches hardly ever...

I've never been a huge fan of this place. To me, it smells better than it tastes. Their sandwiches taste fresh, but I've only been out of convenience. It is pretty plain and a few hours after I start to feel hungry again. Today I ordered the turkey tom and they asked if I wanted cheese. I said sure but didn't realize they charge an extra $1 just for this.

I was actually very impressed. This shop changed my mind about the brand. Just last week, I was telling my son how I was not a fan of this store - maybe I had gone to the wrong one. I stumbled across this sandwich shop, after entering another sandwich shop a few doors away and not impressed by the workers there - I left. I enter JJs and I asked the young lady at the register how long they had been open - she tells me about a few weeks. Nice! I had the #9 Italian Night Club. It was right on time and delicious and for UNDER $7! The only issue that I had is that the guy on the line was chewing gum. Initially, I thought I was seeing things, but it was confirmed when the guy behind me muttered under his breath "he shouldn't be chewing gum" (he turn around and left out of the store). I decided the still get my sandwich BUT I made a phone call to the store to tell a manager what had occurred - he stated that he would handle it. All in all, I would definitely go back and try another sandwich. Jimmy John's on 13th street you have changed my mind about these subs!

I went to place my order today and the kid behind the register walked away. I literally had to ask him to take my order. What was supposed to be a turkey sandwich with onions, cheese, tomato, and no lettuce, ended up being bread with cheese and tomato! Apparently my asking that the lettuce be removed while they were making my sandwich, as I said NO lettuce to start with, means wipe the lettuce off the bread and you don't get an actual sandwich, but yay for wasting my money.

Once I heard there was a deli with a pickle bar within walking distance of our DC headquarters, I…read moreknew I had to go. My colleague who told me about this place jumped to join me for lunch. I wasn't anticipating a nice dining room to dine in, but there it was so we did. Although it was uncomfortably warm in there. Must have been something wrong with their A/C because they couldn't possibly always have it so warm, especially in the middle of summer. I ordered The Clevelander and she had The Mel. And of course we hit their awesome pickle bar! Why doesn't every deli in the universe have a pickle bar?! The sandwiches are piled high with meat and so delicious. Several complaints about mine, however: the menu said it comes with mayo and provolone. It came out with no spread at all so I was brought mayo packets to apply myself, which is way less than ideal with a huge already assembled sandwich. And the brand new server (on her second day there) came back after we ordered and asked if I wanted cheese. I mentioned I thought it listed a cheese on the menu, which she confirmed. But then I ended up getting charged extra for the cheese that my sandwich was supposed to come with. Kind of lame. And while my friend was asked if she wanted hers toasted, I was not. I didn't think twice about it until mine came out toasted, which I neither asked for or wanted. Lastly, the sandwich was also supposed to come with "fresh cranberry spread" and if there was any on my sandwich, it wasn't detectable. But I decided not to even mention it because I didn't want to deconstruct my sandwich a second time. Regardless of these hiccups, I would certainly consider returning.

The service is good and you can place your order at the counter, self enter the order or place the order with the waiter. The menu is extensive and I saw many people enjoying the eggs to order. I just did not care for a big breakfast.

I returned nearly after a year and happy to see improvements in packaging. Love foil wrapping because it does not leak and holds the sandwiches better. I heard good things about their sandwiches. My go to is normally Mangialardo's on Pennsylvania Ave in SE DC or Carl's Subbs on Rhode Island Ave in NE DC. I think I will stick to both of them next time. The staff was very friendly and helpful to me as a first timer but the sandwich was totally disapointing! NOT worth it, at all. I ordered a 9 inch capicola, ham, and cheese sub on the hard roll. The roll was very good and fresh but I couldn't taste the cheese or meat in the sandwich because there wasn't enough of it. I tasted the bread, the toppings of lettuce, tomato and onions. I decided to deconstruct the sandwich and found exactly 4 very thinly sliced pieces of meat and 2 very thinly sliced pieces of cheese as pictured clearly in the photographs. I also noticed that the they have different prices for the same type of meats. For example, they have a $29.99 per pound Capicola and one for $9.99 a pound. I asked which went on the sandwich and of course it was the cheaper one. That wasn't surprising and getting my sandwich back to the office. I decided not to eat the rest of the meatless sandwich and just take the loss. I wouldn't come back nor would I recommend a friend to try it

It's primarily a take-out shop with a dozen or sandwiches and a few sides. The Truth veggie sandwich was bursting with flavor with sweet potato, crispy eggplant, juicy portobello mushoroom, and creamy lentil aioli stuffed between whole wheat bread. It was so good that I didn't even miss not cheese! Initially, I thought about adding cheese, but glad I didn't and stuck with the classic sandwich. By the time I made it through a couple of bites of the 2nd half of my sandwich, I was stuffed and didn't have any room or a craving for chips or fries that I typically get. It was a simple sandwich with quality ingredients made well. Crossing my fingers that the veggie The Truth sandwich stays on the menu and looking forward to coming back to try other sandwiches!

Unlike most places that slice their meat, this is more chopped for lack of a better descriptor. And it makes all the difference.
