I feel awkward and hesitate saying this because my visit to Jimmy's Place was with a group but after stopping in for lunch, I believe that I can speak for all six of us. Jimmy's Place is the overall best restaurant in the area. We were engulfed in reading Jimmy's menu and when asked for her opinion our waitress whose name tag reads Robin spoke directly to each of us. She is nice, really nice and very hospitable too. If you can't do so today, make your visit to Jimmy's Place soon. The food is fabulous. Even better, you won't waist your money!!!!

This place has changed names a few times. Not sure if it is the same owner just trying to find one that works but the cook does not seem to be the same one as the last time we visited. Either way this place has good lunch selections, breakfast all day and lots of comfort food. It was nice so we say outside to enjoy the weather. We started with the chicken noodle soup. Pretty tasty. I did add some salt but still a solid soup. For my lunch I got the Ham & Cheese club. Very tasty and fresh. been craving a cold sandwich and this hit the spot. Deb had the Roast beef club. She said it was OK but though the roast beef was not that great. only had half. The fries were really good. Lightly breaded and cooked just right. Still a pretty good spot for some comfort food but I think the last place was a little better.

We were regulars at the TIN CAN in Clearwater. JIm sold the business last year and now opened a new location. Same great food, larger, brighter place. Jim, Pam and Nicole are all still there. This place is awesome and you need to go try it out. Huge portions. The steak and eggs or Pork chop Bone In and eggs are excellent! Skillets are HUGE! Try the Pork medallions. They are the best! Unbelievable Steak and Egg Special! The tuna salad is the best around and the service is great. The menu is huge and there are also many Board Specials posted each day. Don't read the reviews posted from last year. They are for the previous restaurants at this location. The place turned over a number of times. It is not in a downtown area so traffic on Starkey can easily miss this place. It is in a strip mall on the North bound side of Starkey just North of Bardmore and before the Bowling Alley. Once people find out about this place it will be packed every day just like their old place, The Tin Can in Clearwater. This place has NEW ownership and is really fantastic!

Shrimp Omelette with home fries and white toast

My rating is on food only as I used Uber Eats so I cannot rate on facility appearance, cleanliness, or customer service. I was feeling particularly lazy this morning after working on my day off yesterday then waking up late this morning. I didn't feel like cooking or getting out of pjs so I decided to search online for a small business restaurant and came upon this one. I've been going to the Golden Bear for over a decade and I never knew about this place so decided to give it a go. The delivery driver communicated with me that the order was running a little behind which if it was ready that fast I wouldn't of expected good food. My food was delivered within the expected window looking fresh and ready to eat. The prices were pretty average for what we ordered. $18 and change was the total. Our order consisted of the Florentine Benedict with home fries and Shrimp Omelette with home fries and white toast. The Benedict was flawless and still hot on arrival. The home fries were good. I do like mine with a slight crunchy burnt taste to them but they came out the way most (my mom) prefer. Nicely cooked and soft. The omelette was good. To be fair I have a favorite at a restaurant that I've been going to for two decades so I try not to compare. This omelette was filled with large chunks of veggies so for me that gets an extra plus! I definitely love a generous amount of veggies!! Overall both meals were pleasing and Fulfilling. Hit the spot while eating in pjs and being lazy. I will definitely put this place on my small business. home cooking, list for the future and would recommend.

Formerly called the Largo Family Diner, Jimmy's Place offers a very similar menu. The place changed ownership about five months ago, and the new owner has many years of restaurant experience. I tried the biscuits and gravy - based on a recommendation from one of their waitresses a few weeks back - and it was just average. It tasted like the same biscuits and gravy you get at any number of breakfast spots. The cook told me the biscuits had just come out of the oven, so naturally, I'm expecting biscuits made from scratch. Then the server ( the owner ) told me they're Pillsbury biscuits. I can make those at home. So, just 4 stars since the place is clean, the service is good, the owner is friendly, and the place has retained its neighborly atmosphere. So I'm still in search for biscuits and gravy made from scratch.

Eggs Benedict and hasbrowns

The staff was so welcoming! Very warm hearted! And the food was even better! Everything was so fresh! Such large portions for the price!

Stopped at Largo Family Diner for breakfast on New Year's Day. Food was fresh and service was decent. Prices were low compared to the area diners. Nice little local place for breakfast or lunch.

The food was very good. The staff was stellar. They where short a sever and it the first k a couple xtra minutes but she let us know and was attentive. I had the eggs Benedict with steak. Next time I'll just get the regular and the steak wasn't that great but let's talk about the homemade hollandaise sauce. It was so amazing. And the chunked potato's wher fresh and wonderful. My son had eggs and pancakes (he is a adult) and it was fresh and perfect.

We walked in and were told to sit wherever we wanted, we chose the window seats. Hahahaha! I ordered the Locals Favorite and my guest ordered the Salmons Benedict we shared the Chicken and waffles. The service was great, our server was great too! We asked about real maple syrup and she actually tracked down a bottle, I couldn't believe it! ( Pictured) The Local Favorite was excellent! The crab cake was perfectly seasoned, the English muffin was toasted perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was also perfect. The cheesy grits were good as well! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. My guest also loved her meal, ( Salmon Benedict) the salmon was perfectly done without being dry, the eggs were a little beyond poached but that's okay. The home fried potatoes were golden brown and an excellent addition to the meal. The ambiance is super chill which is surprising considering how good the food is. The chicken and waffles were exceptional as well. The four chicken strips with tender, juicy and well seasoned placed on top of the golden brown waffle which was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The butter and maple syrup was butter made this waffle an 8/10.

What a complete disaster. This is for their Food truck, not physical location…read more 3 things important about serving from a food truck; it has to be fast, easy to eat and great food. The completely forgot about the first 2. Long line so figured it's probably good and looking at reviews thought it would be worth the wait. 45 minutes wait in line. They were completely overwhelmed and lady who took my order (BTW, I'm a very heterosexual man, but there are a lot of kids around and if you're going to lean forward to take orders, how about wearing a shirt that doesn't let me see down to your belly button and all the things you stuff in your bra, such as lighters, etc.) got very snappy with everyone. As you can see from video I posted where I asked people how long they had been waiting, it was over 2 HOURS for most. At that point, all of us should have had our food refunded or at least some type of discount, but nope. Never offered. After an hour, when I went and asked the woman who took my order how long it would take, she said "in a while. I don't know. We're busy". Guess what. That's your JOB to know. They never gave anyone a receipt, just asked us to give them our names, and when we would ask how long it would be, they asked for our name and then asked what we ordered. Seriously? IT SHOULD BE ON THE TICKET WITH THE NAME I JUST GAVE YOU!!! FYI, I gave them the name "YO" to make it easy to remember but apparently, it was too difficult. There were over 30 people waiting and the crowd was getting angry!!! Finally, another woman showed up that got things moving. Whoever you are in the red shirt, thank you! I think we'd still be waiting if it wasn't for you. You should have been there an hour before then. Now the food. Remember the easy to eat part? Obviously it's a food truck, so no crab pliers given. The other food truck actually cracked them before serving them so people could just peel them open. Nothing done here so it was impossible to eat (big crab legs were easier but still not ideal). Had to take them home to eat which defeats the purpose of a food truck. The blue crabs had almost no meat in them. Complete waste of money. The crab legs were actually big and at least tasted good which is why it's 2 stars and not one. Based on the service alone and lack of care to try to make things right with customers, I'm leery to even go to their physical location. Too much competition around to not take care of customers the way they should. Very disappointing and had such high hopes.

The food is always amazing however the customer service is just not there which deters me every…read moretime from going there unless I'm in a time crunch and don't want to travel into St Pete for crabs and seafood plates. The restaurant is located behind the German club on 66th Street, a second business in the German club parking lot! Apparently, the family that has his place is from Maine and they got a lot of success brewing beer. That's success led them to start the restaurant serving seafood from a family business in Maine. We started off with a bowl of New England clam chowder and a dozen oysters. To what are whistles we got a glass of their tap Chardonnay and a beer. My wife's Chardonnay was ridiculously good! But nothing could beat those oysters - sweet with a little bit of brine, and very fresh. For dinner we got a lobster roll - they come hot or cold, with the hot coming with melted butter. We also got the fried haddock roll.... Wow! Both were fantastic! I know we overdid it with dinner.... We even got an order of the whole belly clams. I didn't think anyone in Florida served those down here! Absolutely ridiculous . In short, we had fantastic dinner and terrific beverages. I really recommend you at least try to find the place - we almost didn't go in because of its awkward location and the fact that no cars were outside. We saw the place was open and decided to have a appetizer because the Yelp review was so strong, and I'm glad we did! I told the two people there they should park their cars nearby so patrons would see them..... Anyway, I'm going back again, but this time I'm bringing friends!

We started with the calamari, which was perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with two delicious dipping sauces. It disappeared quickly! For our entrées, the coconut shrimp was outstanding. The shrimp were large, coated in a crunchy toasted coconut breading, and paired perfectly with the orange blossom honey marmalade. The creamy garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and roasted tomatoes rounded out a delicious plate. We also ordered the crab cakes, which were packed with lump crab meat, perfectly seared, and complemented by the Creole mustard aioli. Our kids were just as impressed! The kids' fish and chips meal came with a surprisingly generous portion of flaky fish, crispy fries, and fresh fruit, making it an excellent value. Our other child ordered the adult cheeseburger entrée and couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. It was thick, juicy, perfectly cooked, topped with melted cheddar, and served on a soft bun with crisp lettuce and tomato. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. Combined with the relaxing outdoor atmosphere and exceptional service, Guppy's delivered a fantastic dining experience.
