Well I've been coming here for the past 12yrs I've been through all the name changes and all the chefs and staff and I'm still a customer every chance i get! My latest two visits was perfect not one single complaint from me. Our server who was very helpful very nice and went above and beyond for us ending up being the manager just helping out with the heavy crowds which i can appreciate ( who doesn't love a manager who can get out the office and put in some hatd work? very refreshing) she took my entire party order with a breeze. I ordered Salmon croquettes and cheese grits man oh man this has to be the best and i mean best I've ever had. My aunt Debra makes some banging croquettes but man nothing like this i wouldn't dare tell her though . I haven't had a bad meal here to be real. Always smiling faces and helpful staff. Side note: if i had the money i would gut this joint and bring it into the new millennium. I ordered ahead over the phone and was told 8 minutes. I know this place takes forever to do anything so I took a shower before even leaving cause I know I had the time. I get there 25 mins after I call and they haven't even made my food. I waited another 30 minutes inside getting bit by mosquitoes. I asked again where my food was and it seems they have my food to an UberEats Driver and they had to chase them down for my food. Waited over an hour for cold soggy bacon, eggs and waffles that was almost given away. They forget to give me cheese and toast and charged me for it, and I have to warm it up when I get home. Too late to get anything else. NEVER going back. Just go to Dennys UPDATE: I tried eating the food and the waffles tasted like sourdough, never had zesty waffles before. This is wild. Surprised how this place is still open. If there was an option of not giving stars this review would have "0" on it. So dirty and unkept. Service was terrible, food matched the ambiance! Terrible. Trying again. In for breakfast on Wednesday around 9. Server Lucy did an OK job. I came in shortly after a large group. Ordered: 3 Pancakes - $ 5.75 Too much for what I got. Side of Bacon - 3 small pieces for $ 3.00 Not even what I would call a side. $1 per piece ???? Coffee $ 2.25 OK Pancakes were very pale and had a strange taste. Also tuff, not tender at all. Great diner for breakfast. I was craving corned beef hash and this was the spot. I had eggs over medium which was cooked almost too long but it still was a bit runny. I love the potato hash instead of the breakfast potatoes. It reminds me of McDonald's hash browns. The service was fast and the food was pretty good and prices were good! read more

It's really is your friendly neighborhood diner, a nice, clean diner. I love the atmosphere and the food. I always go for one of the breakfast plates and I always leave happy. Okay. I was definitely dissatisfied and disappointed in many levels. My uncle who is 78 brought me here after picking me up from the cruise port. I don't know if it was the delightful vacation food that made this food worse or the fact that the pancake tasted like an old dusty brick. I saw the inside and went with the cheapest thing on the menu the special which turned out to be the un-special. This place should probably be shut down. I must say i am very disappointed and displeased with Jimmy's Diner. I Ordered 2 orders of corned beef hash (chef special) one with egg whites and cheese and another regular eggs and everything on top . When I received my order both items were totally opposite to what i ordered. Both were exactly the same , regular eggs with everything on top . Before I ordered , I called in and made sure they would place the order correct with the egg whites. I was told that the meal was Homemade and when I got it , it looked like a spoon of corned beef hash from a can and a bunch of potatoes no corn beef hash whatsoever .. clearly this was not homemade nor authentic . A very unassuming, down home place. We had breakfast here, so i can't comment on the other menu items. I had scrambled eggs with cheese and it was done perfectly. The eggs were not dry and had just enough moisture. It wasn't greasy at all. My husband had his eggs over medium, also perfectly made, not greasy. They were trying out corn muffins to see if customers liked them, and added them free to every plate. It was sooo good. Perfectly sweet. I didn't have room for my waffle. I ordered a custom omlette with home fries and english muffin. For a restaurant that specializes in breakfast the wait for my food took an abnormally long time. When it finally arrived it was sans english muffin. When I brought this to the attention of my server she claimed it was on its way. It was brought out 10 minutes later. By that time I was pretty much finished with my meal. NOT ACCEPTABLE. When the check arrived I noticed that the fillers in the omlette were extra. Normally you're able to pick three ingredients. My father and I just ate breakfast there. We waited too long to be served. When I received the bill it was more than the menu price. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused to come and talk with me about my concern. When I approached her and asked her to fix the problem, she refused. This place has the most horrible service i have received...I order the chicken and waffles which is $10 on the menu i received 1 small waffle and about 6 overcooked julienne sized chicken strips i immediately said that i didnt want this dish and they said i would have to buy it and started giving me an attitude at that point i went from not wanting the dish to not wanting to eat there period so i let my daughter eat then asked for check when still attempted to charge me for the uneaten and untouched food i refused and the bus boy got mad and starting acting like i was suppose to be intimidated by him and they refused to print my check and said they called the cops on me smh no wonder they are empty the other Jimmy's on 125 is way better food, service etc. I have never had a problem with them read more

I believe that they now call this great little place Jimmys. I am from the Tampa area and have been to Miami three times in the past two months for family medical reasons. I've eaten at Jimmys' twice in the past three weeks. I had their club sandwich and it was piled high with all the good stuff and was delicious. My husband had the home made chicken soup. It was so good that when I returned I ordered that soup. It truly was the best I've ever had. I am not impressed with fancy surroundings. I am however impressed with sweet and charming wait staff. Cherelda was a great server. Charming, friendly, efficient and just plain nice. She actually remembered my husband and me from three weeks prior AND what we had ordered!
