Great food at a great price, calm atmosphere, servers that care and are fast! Thank you!!

For decades, this location has been a go-to breakfast spot for both my immediate and extended family. The food is exactly what you expect, and I regularly find myself craving a Garbage Breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience is consistently impacted by one particular server. This feels bigger than someone simply having an occasional difficult day, as I have heard similar feedback from others not in our circle and know that concerns have been raised previously. I have also witnessed diners leave her section or comment on inattentiveness and a noticeable lack of interest in serving customers. What makes this more disappointing is that the rest of the staff are wonderful. We have had so many positive experiences over the years and genuinely enjoy dining with the other servers. In fact, we often try to sit in other sections and avoid this server altogether, so we do not upset her. This restaurant has been part of our family routine for decades, and I would much rather continue recommending and supporting it than feel like we need to plan around avoiding one staff member. read more

Our server, Lori, is the reason we came here today even if it was out of our area! She carries a "Get to" attitude about her work rather than a "have to" gloom. For that and the excellent menu we will be back! read more

The food was warm and good. The sign said to sit ourselves so we did then it took quite a while for someone to come by and give us water. We noticed the waitresses would talk to the local people quite a bit why we were waiting for extra water or other stuff. The ambiance was probably two out of five could've been better normal breakfast cafe . Overall the food was really good. That was the best part of all of it and for the price you can't beat it. read more

I've eaten at quite a few Jimmy's Eggs over the years in a lot of locations, but my review will be of this location only. I brought a group of about 30 teenagers to this place after an orchestra contest, and I should have called first to let them know. I meant to, but the days leading up to contest and the morning of were very hectic and as quick as I had the thought it left my mind again. Luckily, there weren't many guests, and we found seating with plenty left for others. I just wanted to send a thank you to the staff and manager for accommodating my students and our parent guests that morning. There was hardly a scrap of food left on the kids' plates and no one left hungry. It was a lovely way to celebrate a job well done at our contest. Thank you to everyone who worked there that morning, and to let you know how much we appreciated your hospitality. And if you were a guest there that morning with us, thank you for obliging my mostly-quiet orchestra kids. Also, my burger and curly fries was pretty darn good. Customer services needs attention. I never received a refill until I received the bill. I witnessed a patron ask 2 different to take their order but no one ever came back and the customers left. read more

This restaurant was our favorite until a week ago on my birthday. They have always given away one meal to a birthday person, all you had to do was show them your driver's license. I was told they discontinued that. But that was okay, things change, and I had with me a gift certificate from my daughter for $25 at Jimmy's egg. Any Jimmy's egg anywhere! It's printed right there on the certificate! I was told when we started to pay with it that they don't accept it. My daughter was very upset and has tried and tried to get her money back. We had to pay for our own breakfast, which made her very unhappy. She wanted to treat us to our favorite breakfast place. We will not be going there anymore! read more

With 9 people on our party we pretty much had a little of everything. Breakfast meat choices were good. Biscuits and gravy a+. Cost wise we spent about $10 a person. I typically don't venture out to Jimmy's Egg because usually I'm working or asleep during their normal hours. Today a friend met me for a meeting and wanted to do it here so I obliged him. Service was good and they were attentive to us. Actually they asked my friend on multiple occasions if he needed more coffee which is nice until about the 10th time over 15 minutes but that's alright. My food was good but the bacon was a little more crispy than normal but it's bacon and I enjoyed it nonetheless. Overall not a bad experience but not amazing either. I have friends that love Jimmy's but it's just not for me. Different strokes for different folks! read more

I'm a Jimmy's Egg fan and I always try to stop when I'm passing through Oklahoma or Kansas. Well, first Google led us to an office park then we picked one with a line nearly out the door. My husband decided we were just going to head north to our hotel and we'd just "find something along the way". Fortunately, I found this one in Edmond! I love that it's "seat yourself" and that the menus are already on the tables (and they were clean!). Two different ladies came over right away to take our drink order. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with curly fries. My husband opted to get a veggie or garden omelet with a sausage added, and our son ordered chicken and fries. The food came out fairly quickly. My burger was so greasy that the bottom bun was just soaked. It tasted pretty good, but I really wish they'd have tried to drain some of that grease off! It came with a heaping mound of fries. My son's plate was as big as mine and was just loaded with food. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. They're busy, but we still ended up with everything we needed. Jimmy's Egg isn't fancy. It isn't meant to be, but what it is (and a lot of places aren't) is consistent. I know what they have and I know what to expect. Generally, these are straight forward meals with good ingredients. The servers are always friendly and the prices are reasonable. I have dined at many Jimmy's Eggs and I don't see that trend changing anytime soon. Only open for breakfast and lunch, but great options for either. read more

I've been eating at Jimmy's Egg for close to 25 years and never have I eaten a bad breakfast in all that time. I decided to stop at this location for the first time and I had a terrible experience. If you want a great breakfast with a classic diner feel, then Jimmy's Egg is the place. Wonderful food and a great atmosphere. Without a doubt it's my favorite place to get breakfast. Best of all, it's super cheap. My family of three can usually get out for less than $15 total, and one time our total ticket was only $9.85. Rock bottom, baby! We had breakfast twice at Jimmy's during our stay in Edmond. Very friendly atmosphere and food is good. The first visit I had an omelet that was amazing. Second visit I had a skillet which was just ok. On our second visit our service was outstanding. We had Amanda and she made us feel right at home. The place is a little dated and restrooms could use a little attention. Overall, nice place with a great atmosphere and breakfast at a reasonable cost. I will return! read more

A formerly great breakfast spot in edmond what has fallen on hard times. Located right off of the Broadway extension (northbound) it has it's own sizable surface lot -like everything else in oklahoma- but there is only one entrance way which in theory could jam up a bit (think post church rush on sunday) but in practice isn't really an issue. There is a large dining room with tons of table/chair/booth options. This place can accommodate medium sized groups w/o issue. The lighting is a wee bit on the dim side and I'd describe the decor as mid to late 80's family diner. There is a host/hostess station for busy times, but for the most part this is a seat yourself operation. Get a seat by the back wall-the one facing the railroad, where can peek into the kitchen, and you'll be able to see what the waitstaff are eating. Historically this place was considered one of the best places to get breakfast, alas I regret to report those days are over. On my first visit I had the chicken fried steak and eggs, because what else would you order in oklahoma? The steak was cool in the center, seemed to be a pre-made (microwave ready) item. The gravy was as thin as my water (but had slightly more color) and without good flavor. Campell's mushroom soup would have been far better. The toast was the same kind of thing you can buy at crest, and while the portions were large, the lack of quality just made it all the more depressing. All that for ten dollars. The second time around we went with the omelets and while that was pretty decent, it still wasn't enough reason to come out and spend 10-15 dollars. read more

Wow, what a disappointment! Jimmy's Egg used to be good....but they have stopped making homemade biscuits (BIG mistake). My veggie omelet came with pieces of ham in it and no avocado as requested. I don't know when it happened, but apparently I've come to really like Jimmy's Egg. Okay, I know when it happened. It was weeks ago when I got a filling amount of biscuits and gravy for like $2.99 or something. So now, it's kind of a go-to for me if I decide to buy breakfast before work. I've never eaten inside, so I can't say much about "ambiance" or service. The lady who took my order over the phone was chipper and nice and I received fast attention when I came in to pick up my order. I imagine sit-down service is generally the same, but that's just speculation. Thus far, I've only had biscuit'y items. See: biscuits and gravy and the biscuit debris. I personally think the cheapo biscuits and gravy is plenty for a filling breakfast, but some days you want cheese and meat so you get the debris for a bit more money. I don't remember how much, really. Under $10, maybe under $7. That's neither here nor there. Apparently they have curly fries? So that's gonna be next. I love those curly taters. read more

I visit here every time I visit Oklahoma City. Great spot in Edmond for either a super takeout order or a wonderful dining experience. Now I usually call my breakfast orders in for the FAM being that we like to sleep in on Saturday mornings. The omelettes here are phenominal! The selection on breakfast choices are plentiful and the customer service is terrific! My personal favorites however are the delicious turkey sausage patties with the three cheese and spinach egg white omelette. The omelette had no taste, except the "salsa" which actually just seemed to be a massive amount of cholula hot sauce dumped on top. I have always liked JE, mbut my opinion is changing. I get there just after opening when I go, and I usually have to wait about 10 minutes extra if I order biscuits and gravy. Today, I went there and the cook had overcooked my eggs. I think restaurants should have everything ready when they open, and I think a breakfast cook should be able to handle eggs over easy. I've had breakfast several times in the last few months at this Jimmy's Egg. I rarely get up early to make my own breakfast so its pretty awesome when I do get out of bed early to eat before work. I usually stick with the same things, pancakes, a fried egg & bacon. The service has always been attentive and keeps my coffee cup full, which is extremely important to me. There wasn't anything about it that blew my mind, but I always left satisfied, very full and probably over-caffeinated. Maybe one of these days I'll branch out & go for one of their omelets or something unusual. For now, I'm a simple man when it comes to breakfast. Pancakes, bacon & coffee. The only issue I can speak of is three of the chairs I attempted to sit in, had one leg shorter than the others. No bueno. read more

Absolute worst location. I ordered an egg white scrabble with a side of sautéed spinach. The cook lacked English skills and simply couldn't understand what that meant so my server proceeds to yell at him "if f****** sautéed, here I'll make it. Just throw some d*** butter on it." Most people should know that sautéed spinach should be cooked in oil rather than butter. I have gone to this location with two friends most Saturdays for the past sixteen years. Over the past six months or so, it has worsened. Yesterday we were treated so shabbily we will not be back. Just ate at Jimmy egg broadway location edmond. Pennie our waitress was having a bad day or is just flat rude and not a people person. Others that arrived after us were served their food and one had a much larger order than ours. When we did receive our food the order was wrong and food was cold. They corrected the our food order food was still cold. I use to love Jimmy egg but with a waitress like Pennie not any longer and I will not be going back to the Broadway location in Edmond. read more
